Leptos Panorama

We returned home from a week at The Leptos Panorama, which overall we enjoyed. We were a party of 3 staying all inclusive, situated in an inland room. We arrived late at night and check-in was fast, however the beds weren’t as twin beds as I’d requested in the booking. This was rectified the next morning. The pool area was lovely, with beautiful views and good snack bar. We always managed to get sunbeds, and there always seemed to be some available somewhere. A slight negative for children was the strictly no jumping into the pool policy. It wouldn’t have hurt to have an area away from sunbathers (which is possible with the layout) where the bigger littles could jump in. The lifeguard never seemed to do a great deal of life guarding either, he sat away in a corner under an umbrella. I’ve no idea how he could see what was happening in the pool. Food-wise - we’ve stayed at some lovely hotels for food so maybe somewhat spoiled, but this wasn’t really one of them. The food was edible, the desserts were lovely and I enjoyed the salads, but overall meat was tasteless and chewy on most occasions, which was disappointing. Definitely not 5* standards from that respect. However the Asian night was beautiful. The restaurant staff were good at clearing tables but rubbish at covering the drinks. They’d quickly bring a bottle of water, but would be in a hurry to scoot off before actual drinks were ordered, and not once were we approached and asked if we wanted refills. Reception staff were very good at helping us to navigate the area, they informed us how to get to Chania on the bus - I’d recommend this way to explore at least once. Chania at sunset was beautiful and we had a lovely meal whilst we were there. They also ordered us a taxi so we could go to Agia Marina beach, as well as sorting a trip to Falarnassi beach for us. We didn’t try the spa, but it would appear that many of the spa reviews bump up the reviews for the hotel itself. All in all, we enjoyed our trip and the sunsets and views were to die for. A few points for improvement for the hotel, but we did come home with happy memories and feeling very relaxed.

Amazing hotel with an amazing spa! My sister and I got a body and face massage from Yoandra and Maria, and it was amazing! They were super kind and professional and we greatly enjoyed our experience. The hotel breakfast is excellent and the staff is super kind. The pools and overall rooms are clean and well-kept and the room service is great! I truly recommend this hotel!

Had a lovely full body massage and facial by Katrina at the spa, she was lovely and exceeded by expectations from the massage and also added in a head massage at the end. The atmosphere and service was amazing from the minute we walked in and all staff were lovely. Highly Recommend

We are three ladies in our 60’s. From the moment we arrived at Panorama we felt treated special. We were greeted by a lovely young man who took our luggage and escorted us to reception. We checked in quickly by George who was super friendly. The other young man showed us to our room handling all our cases. We went up to our floor in a glass exterior lift which offered amazing views. The room was big, clean and had a wonderful view of the sea and coastline. Sunbed towels and safe were provided free of charge as were 3 bottles of water. On the landing was an iron and board set up ready to use tucked away behind a screen. Nice touch. We decided to explore the hotel and were not disappointed. The flow of the reception to main bar to pool to pool bar was brilliant. The whole area tastefully decorated with cream and wooden furniture. There is a main infinity pool with fabulous views and a children’s pool next to the pool bar. The pool bar deserves a special mention. It is run by young guys and they were exceptional. So kind and funny and helpful and friendly. The bar was kept spotlessly clean as was the outside toilet. The guys worked the bar with great team spirit and were a joy to watch. We have to mention KOSTAS, NIKOS, LIOVA and STAVROS. The main bar is run by GEORGE and NIKOS who were also exceptional. Never kept waiting and always a friendly chat and greeted with a smile. The restaurant is well planned out with an open air seating area overlooking the pool and views of Chania. The buffet food is fantastic. Well cooked and presented perfectly. There were different themes during the week. There is a bus stop at the bottom of the drive which takes you into Chania for around 2€. Great service. We went three times. Super city with lots to see and do. Also a mention for Irena who owned the lovely Cretan product shop called Elaia about 15 minutes walk down the road in the direction of Chania. Delightful lady. All in all a magical holiday and we can’t wait to return next year. Thank you Leptos Panorama x
