Thalassi

Lovely clean, friendly hotel. All staff are friendly, helpful and always smiling. Our room was a very good size and tastefully decorated. Being a small hotel we soon got to know other guests. The outside areas including the pool were always clean and tidy. This was a relaxing break at a family run hotel. We will most definitely return. Thank you to Eva and all staff.

Beautiful, spotlessly clean hotel with lovely friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are spacious with everything you need, free wifi and are cleaned daily. Eva and her staff do a great job, so a huge Thank You goes out to them all. Thank you too goes to Dimitri who runs the restaurant, he made our stay all the better for his kindness and thoughtfulness.

Clean and modern hotel with friendly and helpful staff especially Eva and Nico. Location not picturesque but fine if you go and do activities using the bus. The Resturant (half board) was ok but nothing special, very little choice especially for vegetarians - not worth the extra for half board. Resturant is over a motorway with no pedestrian access. You can only sit on the balcony to eat if you pay from the à la carte menu. Owner of Restaurant, Dimitri was grumpy, rude and made our evening eating experience unpleasant. Tried to force us to write a review then confronted us when we didn’t. TUI ad is misleading

Just spent a lovely week here, owners and staff were very welcoming and accommodating, nothing was too much trouble. The restaurant on the beach front was superb - buffet for half-boarders was varied and plentiful and the a la Carte menu was amazing - calamari, taramasalata, moussaka and steaks were the best we have tasted, all made from fresh local produce- some grown by the owner. We missed the entertainment at the restaurant through timing issues but were told it by other guests it was great. It was all kept super clean, breakfast buffet and pool bar/snacks were great - don't go here If you want small portions as they are very generous! (As it seems is all of Crete) They were able to help out with trips out and about, and local buses are regular and cheap! Loved it all so much we have already booked to go back next year!

We stayed at Thalassi in September 2026 and had a great time. The hotel itself is modern and very clean. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The owners and staff are the friendliest and most helpful people we have ever experienced on any holiday we have been on and we have traveled a lot. The evening dining is off site at the Thalassi restaurant which is a short distance away and an easy 5 minute walk. If you are not up for the walk they run a shuttle mini bus there and back for you. The restaurant has a great setting right on the sea front where you can watch the sun go down. And you will find the staff just as friendly and helpful here. The food is good and options change every day. They even made an orange pie especially for us after we mentioned how much we liked it. There isn’t a great deal around the hotel which was fine for us, but in a short bus or taxi ride you can be in the centre of town with plenty of bars and restaurants. In short you would not be disappointed if you booked this hotel. A very well done to Thalassi.
