From start to finish, everything about the Ventale Island Breeze felt like a true 5-star experience. It is genuinely one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in.
Location
The hotel is a bit of a retreat. It is about a 60 to 90-minute drive from the airport and situated quite far from the island's main attractions. However, if you are looking for a fantastic resort and don't mind being tucked away from the hustle and bustle, it is absolutely worth the travel.
Staff & Service
The service was exceptional right from the start. We were welcomed at reception by multiple staff members—one took our bags, another brought us iced tea, and the duty manager personally checked us in and showed us to our room.
Because it is a slightly smaller hotel, it felt like they always had the perfect level of staff on hand, never stretched thin like at some larger resorts. Every single team member, from the cleaners to management, was incredibly warm and welcoming, and it never once felt forced.
Rooms
We originally booked a Junior Suite with a sea view, which was brilliant. It was spacious enough for the four of us, featuring dual sinks, a great shower room, a large TV, and excellent aircon. Aside from a few very minor snags (like a bit of painting and a door handle), it was a flawless 5-star room. The only slight negative is that the aircon unit was quite close to the TV, making it a bit loud if both were on, but since we were rarely watching TV, it wasn't a real issue for us.
For our last three days, we were generously offered an upgrade to two rooms with private pools. Since we were traveling with kids, this was a no-brainer! Even though it meant packing up and moving, the staff essentially held our hands through the entire process, making it completely stress-free.
Because the pool rooms are smaller, they gave us two: one with a double bed and a sofa bed, and another with just a double bed and a completely different layout that felt like a honeymoon suite. The private pools were fantastic—perfectly sized and great for playing with the kids.
Food
The dining was superb. Being a smaller hotel, there might be slightly fewer buffet stations than massive resorts, but there was still plenty of choice and absolutely everything was cooked to perfection. The spread of cheeses, fresh fruit, olives, and cakes was incredible if you wanted to indulge.
I only have two small bits of constructive feedback for the restaurant:
Kid-Friendly Classics: It would be great to always have vanilla ice cream and french fries available as staples for picky eaters.
Table Layouts: Oddly, most tables were set up for three people, whereas most guests were either couples or families of four/five. The staff were always more than happy to rearrange things for us, but the default setup felt a bit strange.
Pool & Beach
The main pool is slightly smaller, but it never felt overcrowded. There were always plenty of sunbeds available, including some brilliant ones that overhang the water, which my kids absolutely loved.
However, the absolute best part of the hotel is the beach. It is a beautiful, segregated private beach with a clear, warm, and very pleasant sea. Even if you turn up later in the day, there are always plenty of beds available. The beach bar has an incredible atmosphere with brilliant staff, and being able to order food and drinks directly to your sunbed via your phone was incredibly easy and convenient.
Overall
A flawless stay. While we didn't end up using them, the on-site spa, gym, and creche all looked excellent. I highly recommend Ventale Island Breeze and would return in a heartbeat!
