Anavadia

We have just returned from a week at Anavadia Hotel. Just what we needed! Lovely, friendly staff, comfortable, clean rooms, plentiful, fresh, local food. The hotel is great if you want to escape for a while. The mountain views are lovely! The nearest bus stop is just a few steps away, so it's great for exploring the beautiful island of Rhodes. We visited Rhodes Old Town and Lindos, all by public transport (highly recommend both these destinations). The buses are not expensive and run on time. We came back mid afternoon after our trips and found sunbeds immediately!! A special shout out goes to the lovely barmen at the pool and the main bar, they were so friendly and welcoming. There is a real family feel to this hotel as it's small, which is lovely. Party animals, this is not for you... If you want to relax and dictate your own holiday, as a couple, or a family, this is a beautiful, relaxing hotel.

Lovely staff members who were very welcoming. Also had to pay an extra €50 for government charges. Food: Terrible selection of lukewarm food. I’d say about 6-8 trays for the selection and stale bread and warm salad. We tried dinner and breakfast once during our 5 day stay and decided to dine elsewhere each occasion. Food was also sometimes repetitive each night. Room: The rooms are run down with clear marks and stains on furniture and walls. The shower had nothing to prop the shower head up with. This was also covered in lime scale which was gross. It was twisted around a very rusty shower tap. As there was nothing to prop it up with, we were constantly making so much mess on the outside of the shower as the curtain did not reach the floor. The walls/doors are so thin, you can hear everything outside and people opening/closing doors. Pools: There are two pools within this hotel. One situated at the front which is quiet and clean but the furthest away from the pool bar. The “swim up pool bar” is not that. You have to get out of the pool to get your drinks. This pool is clearly not clean and is very green. Sun loungers are out dated and losing the cushion so it feels like you are laying on the wood lounger itself. Drinks: The pool bartender made this trip! He was so lovely and had good chat. He also had a great song selection for the speaker. However, drinks were served out of paper cups at the pool and if you wanted to drink past 11pm, then you would be charged. As well as this, there were only a handful of cocktails included in the all inclusive and the rest you’d have to pay extra. Overall, I would not visit this hotel again. There is no entertainment and terrible selection of food for every meal. We were also disturbed every morning at about 8/9am for house keeping. I understand they have a job to do but we did explain that we like to sleep in until about 10.

Me and my wife spent a week in Anavadia hotel.The atmosphere is quiet and ideal for quiet & relaxing vacations. We had a standard room booked which was nice and always clean nothing luxurious but we always check before we book. The food was tasty but for we hope there was more Greek nights as it was the best theme night . Special thanks to the staff which is always there to assist you .

We booked the holiday with very high expectations. The website stated 4 star romantic hotel, and the pictures advertised looked like the description. Upon arrival, we noticed that the hotel is in a very very poor condition- nothing which has been advertised on the website. The hotel is not in safe working order. Door handles hanging off the doors, handle rails hanging, door frames hanging off the wall, leaking shower, plugs blown and covered with tape, green dirty swimming pools, bolts sticking out of the floor. The list goes on and on. The food was disgraceful! The same good day in day out, and the most littlest selection. The all inclusive started at 10:30pm.. and finished at 11:00pm.. with only 1 bar in the whole hotel! The hotel had no lemonade for 4 days (which is a general requirement for an all inclusive hotel with this being a soft drink!) Food at the pool bar stale and left open with flys flying around. The food in the buffet was open with no lids.. allergies were oblivious in this hotel.. cross contamination galore everywhere! We are out most days due to the terrible selection of food! A big shoutout to the bar staff, who work incredibly hard to make your holiday enjoyable! Overall we would defiantly not return to this hotel.

Food rubbish Bars banging Angelo and Bobby best bar tenders I’ve ever met ,had a lovely experience at the hotel but trust me DO NOT EAT HERE!!!
