Despite all of the negative comments here, I believe that people should manage their expectations. It is not reasonable to book a four star hotel on a Greek island and expect a resort quality of accommodation. We have completed a three night stay at the beginning of March, which we booked on site as our pre-arranged accommodation was not in an ideal location. The location of the hotel is perfect. Right on the outskirts of the old town. We booked an all inclusive option with unlimited drinks during the day, breakfast, lunch and dinner. Despite the low occupancy, the quality of the food was very good. The variety changed every day and multiple options were provided in a buffet style dining. All the staff we have interacted were friendly and well intentioned. Special thanks to Katerina working the restaurant. In terms of accommodation quantity, it was clean but tired. I think this is more in line with three starts than four. However, once again manage your expectations. For the price we have paid, I believe that the value was great.

Late season deal and good weather! The hotel is quite modern, in the back streets but walkable to the town, harbour etc. The lifts are small and may be too small in high season. The small pool and limited loungers might also be a problem at peak times. Breakfast was a little disappointing, rock hard cornflake, spicey continental sausage and smoked streaky bacon. There were many continental breakfast alternatives. However, lunch and dinner was a delight! Lots of Greek dishes! Yummy! A microwave is needed to reheat the food which can be a bit lukewarm. The entertainment takes place in the dining room. A bland duo and Greek dancing twice a week something we would normally avoid and it can be very, very loud. The staff are friendly and helpful. A special mention to Voula on the day bar who always gave a big welcoming smile! No 18/30 singles in low season so we won't hesitate to go back assuming a good deal.

We have recently returned from Castellum Suites and we had a wonderful time. It is a medium size, clean and inviting hotel near to the Old Town of Rhodes. It is perfectly sited for the Knights' Palace, the Auberges and the Archaeological Museum which is world class, and the wonderful Acropolis. The staff are warm and welcoming without exception, and efficient. The food is varied and tasty: each day there is a range of pasta dishes with at least two sauces and beef, chicken, pork and fish with a range of vegetable accompaniments. There are a large range of various salads and dressings, dips and breads and delicious pastries and cakes. Ice cream- 5 flavours- always available, not to mention the menu of cocktails, mocktails and soft drinks. Tea and coffee is available throughout the day. The food is served as a buffet with drinks served to the table by the kindly staff, who have a lovely cameraderie. Plates are cleared promptly, as are the tables, which are then laid with fresh linen. Dining is a comfortable and pleasant experience. There is a ramp and handrail into the restaurant. The rooms are a decent size, clean and comfortable with a large shower, sink and toilet in a separate bathroom. Fresh towels are provided and lovely olive oil shampoo and shower gel from wall dispensers. The rainfall shower is warm with great pressure: there is also a hand shower. The bathroom is cleaned daily. There is an open wardrobe area with hangers and a safe: we found this fine. The beds are very comfortable and of good size with two pillows per person and extra blankets in the wardrobe. The bed is made up daily. There is a shelf opposite the beds with a kettle and tea and coffee provided, a television and mirror above. Outside is a small balcony with a table and two chairs: ours overlooked the swimming pool area and adjacent modern buildings, without feeling cramped. The reception staff are also warm and helpful: providing a cable for my i-phone, and giving good advice and directions. The reception area has a television and lots of sofas. It is a nice area to relax and have a drink in. We had a great time: we felt welcomed and looked-after. The food and atmosphere were so good. I think it's important to realise this is a city hotel: it has all the advantages of proximity to world class sightseeing within walking distance of the hotel, and it is small enough for guests to be individually cared for. The emphasis is on Greek food, which is utterly delicious. I would like to suggest a tip box at reception and in the restaurant: all the many staff work so hard it feels unfair to single one or two out. Many thanks for a lovely stay, Castellum!

Beautiful hotel excellent value for money, my cousin and I stayed for the first time last year........so impressed we re-booked this year. Rooms cleaned daily by friendly efficient cleaning staff towels also changed daily. Efficient, courteous, caring and friendly dining and bar staff, nothing too much trouble for them. Food plentiful, varied and delicious, our only niggle the hot food was only ever warm or in some instances cold. Guests are very well taken care of. Vickie (hope I've spelt it correctly) on reception went above and beyond assisting reuniting me with my disability walker which been damaged in transit. She is an absolute asset to the hotel. Entertainment three times a week. Highly recommend

A fantastic all inclusive hotel, a 5 minute walk into the old town and approximately 7 minutes into the new town. The buffet each day had a vast variety with so much choice however the food tends to get a little cold the longer it sits so try to get in early. The room was spacious and beautifully decorated, bed super comfy with a mini fridge, safe and coffee/tea making facilities, our room on the 3rd floor had a balcony with a table and chairs.
