Doryssa Lithos

An exquisite place — we will definitely return! We absolutely loved our stay at Doryssa Lithos Hotel in Samos. We honestly couldn’t fault the location or the price, and the whole experience was wonderful. The staff were exceptional — professional, kind and welcoming. We arrived early and were even able to check in ahead of schedule, which was a lovely touch and really appreciated. The breakfast was super tasty, and the pool area was incredibly relaxing. The hotel has a wonderful atmosphere, and we felt very well looked after throughout our stay. We would highly recommend Doryssa Lithos Hotel to anyone visiting Samos. For us, it’s not a question of if we return, but when! Thank you to all the staff for making our stay so enjoyable. We look forward to seeing you again.

I really am at a loss to understand all the good reviews of this hotel. While the terrace room we had was very comfortable and clean, the whole hotel seemed to be very much style over substance. The pool was potentially really dangerous with very slippery yellow tiles which made the water appear green. Details stated there was a buffet restaurant but breakfast was served on the pool bar and there were tables around the pool, most of which were in the sun. On our last day it was raining and we had to wade through inches of water for a cup of coffee at the machine (despite the valiant efforts of a member of staff trying to scoop out the water). This is a 3 star hotel at best.

What a wonderful hotel. So clean, friendly staff, in a great position to view the sea. We were two couples, who were lucky to be upgraded to seaview rooms. We enjoyed the breakfast and relaxed atmosphere around the pool. Would definitely recommend and return.

What a superb hotel! From the moment we arrived we were made welcome. The staff are so friendly and helpful. The hotel has the most fantastic views and is modern and immaculately clean and well presented. The pool area offers a really cool vibe and is unusually yellow in colour. The most comfortable loungers and we never struggled to get one at any time. Our room was upgraded as we was celebrating our wedding anniversary. Very nice indeed! And on our actual annniversary we received the most beautiful hand written note, a bottle of Samos wine and a fruit platter. The hotel really went out of their way to make our holiday unforgettable. I have no negatives about this hotel. Previous reviews mention the steps into town. This is the price you pay for the view! We used the steps down and a more gentle slope on the way back. Only took 10minutes and we worked off all the delicious food and ouzo! I thoroughly recommend this beautiful gem of a hotel. It was a small slice of paradise!

This hotel probably has the best view and infinity pools in Pythagorian. Its so clean, it has a spa smell everywhere and it has the most pleasant staff, always smiling but unobtrusive. The rooms are cleaned to a very high standard every day but the one thing that stood out was the food at breakfast everything you could imagine provided in a relaxed environment. You are guaranteed to get a plush cushioned sunbed with a little pool next to you whatever time of day you rock up. Yes, its at the top of a hill so you get the view so dont complain, its maybe not ideal for people with walking issues but its a stunning location. We went in peak season so the town centre was very busy at night but loads of restaurants and bars somewhere for everyone. We had a hire car and went all around the island I think next time we woukd come in quieter season and stay somewhere with a proper beach. But if you are fit and love a good view this hotel is perfect. Just a shame the pool bar shuts at 5pm and we thought it was expensive and it has nowhere else nearby to go. Top marks to the hardworking staff.
