Niki bed and breakfast is a pleasant place to spend the nights while on Samos island. It is located in the town/village of Ireon (approx. 4 km from the airport). The facility offers basic amneties - but the family who runs the business puts a lot of effort into it. You can feel it the moment you check in. They are frendly and helpful. You are treated with special treats such as welcome drinks and home made deserts (all on the house). Rooms are clean (bathrooms are the cleanest I have seen on an Greek island). We have stayed in room nr. 101. Rooms are not cleaned on a Sunday though. Breakfast is modest. A few tips if visiting Samos: - Ireon is a sleepy town where nothing much happens. We were (are) visiting in the mid of July and there are only a handful of tourists around. The town does offer a market, bakery, a rent a car and a few restaurants/taverns - do try To Kyma. - If you want more lively place to stay, go to Pitagiron. It is a nearby town with lots of taverns, shops and a more vibrant nightlife. - The island is full of twisty mountain roads - it does take a while to get to places - do take that into consideration when planning your trips around the island. - Most of the sights are free of charge (except museums in city of Samos). - Most of the attractions close at around 13:00 or 15:00.

My two-week stay at Hotel Niki felt like coming home. From the moment I arrived, I was embraced by the authentic Greek hospitality and warmth. The location is excellent: just a few minutes' walk from the beach, as well as a small supermarket, a bakery, and tavernas in Ireon. Even though Hotel Niki is on the second lane, I was lucky enough to enjoy a sea view from my balcony. Breafast is served in a beautiful, palm tree shaded garden. I was so pleasantly surprised when I told the owner, Sideris, about my gluten and lactose restrictions, I immediately got a plate of fresh local fruits. It's no wonder that the welcoming, familiar atmosphere brings so many guests back to Hotel Niki every single year.

A family-run house at the entrance to Ireon, the center can be reached on foot in three minutes. Quiet atmosphere, friendly service that leaves nothing to be desired! Otherwise, would we have been coming here for at least two weeks in early summer and autumn for the past five years?

The Niki is a typical example of a non-pretentious, immaculately clean Greek hotel. The rooms are airy and air-conditioned and it sits on a back road (although the sea is clearly visible from the balconies of the front rooms) so nicely tucked away from any hubbub. Breakfast is served outside the front of the hotel on a vine covered terrace and the Misirlis Family (Marianthi, husband Sideris and mum Melpa) are friendly, helpful and make you feel part of the family when you stay there. Still excellent value for money too.

When we arrived we got a great welcome by Marianthe, the owner of the hotel. During our stay she was very friendly and showed great hospitality. Breakfast was fine, the room too. We had a room with a balcony on the second floor with view at the sea. It's a nice place at the edge of the village near the Imvresos River and the centre of the village. If we go to Samos again, we will surely stay again at this hotel.
