Orama Hotel & Spa

This was a great hotel with a few minor things to remember when booking / checking. Location: Short walk to the actual "town" and Supermarket, pharmacy, laundry, etc. Rooms: Nice and large room with separate toilet and shower, making it really easy and fast to get up and get ready each morning (why can't every hotel do this). It must be a Greek thing, but it would have been great to have the shower head a bit higher than at tummy level. Another foot or two higher would make it hands-free for one's that don't want their hair wet. There is a rain shower too - just amazing water pressure! Just wonderful. THE CATCH: Try not to get rooms with 1xx - these are right down the bottom of the hill and its a big climb up. You could take multiple stairs across a couple of pools BUT a real pain. They don't seem to offer a buggy. So, if you are not fit and mind sweating first thing in the morning, try not to select these rooms, LOL. Breakfast: Wonderful choice with cook that will make you omelets. Very comprehensive. Didn't care much for the coffee though. Very weak. Maybe we were spoilt having great coffee at Nimbus Hotel in Mykonos! NOTE TO HOTEL: Pease replace that terrible toaster - cant get bread wider than 1cm in there plus the mechanical lever is hard which "jumps" the burnt bread out and up, up, and away lol. Easy fix! Staff: Staff were great even though we didn't have too much interaction. Room Numbers: Please infill the number on the terracotta with black or equivalent. Its very hard to read the embossed numbers (see photo). Our 3 nights were great here, except for the steep climb up each day (see photo).

Excellent hotel in a great location being a 10 minute easy walk to the centre of Fira. Good restaurants on route to the town and if required both pharmacy and supermarket as well. A very relaxed atmosphere, buffet breakfast should cater for most needs. The room was exceptionally clean and a daily clean replacement of towels etc, our view was over the pool and seeing the sunrise, good value for money. Weekend was noisier with guests but nothing to worry about. Overall the service was excellent, reception can book anything you need and nothing too much trouble.

We had the absolute best stay we ever could! The room was magical, clean and well decorated. The food was immaculate. It was so good and the breakfast was amazing, something for everyone. The pool was so good and there were plenty of sun-beds for everyone. The biggest thanks is given to the staff, nicer people I have never met at a hotel like this. Whatever we needed they helped with, with a smile on their faces. 10/10 stay, and we will be back!

Just back from a weeks stay at this hotel and can’t sing its praises enough. From the beautiful hotel itself to the friendly and most helpful staff, we recommended a stay here for couples and families. Viscilis gave us a warm welcome at reception when we arrived at 11:30pm. He was full of energy every night and was always so happy to see us every evening on his nightshift. We had contacted the hotel before our stay to organise restaurant reservations and the reception staff Maria, Theodore and Jakimi did not disappoint. Every restaurant booking we had were front row seats to sunsets at the likes of popular restaurants like The Vine, Cavo Tagoo, Beefbar, and Rizes. I would highly recommend making your bookings via the hotel as you will be pleasantly surprised and greatfull! The restaurant breakfast area is small but sufficient. We had been worried about this due to the reviews however, there is more than enough selection to choose from and options are always well stocked. The restaurant and bar staff are so attentive and pleasant. Specifically, George, Theo, Andre and Irakilis make such a good team during peak times of the breakfast service. Despite being under a lot of pressure they always took time to smile, say hello and ask how you were which we really appreciated. The pool area and sun loungers are always well maintained and clean. Fresh pool towels are provided by the hotel everyday along with 2 x 1.5L bottles of water in your room. You really are made to feel like they care about their guests at this hotel! We did have an encounter with a couple who had taken our sun loungers, however the bar/restaurant manager Pamos, resolved the issue by apologising and bringing out more sun loungers for us and an umbrella as he couldn’t ask the other guests to move. Semella the barmaid and Pamos apologised again the next day and gave us our drinks on the house as a goodwill gesture! This took us by surprise but again goes to show the care they take of their guests. I couldn’t recommend Santorini enough, the place is absolutely stunning and the views are breathtaking. The hotel is conveniently located a 5-10 minute walk into Fira centre, a supermarket, pharmacy and local shops. We stayed in room 310 and the view from our balcony was incredible. Noise level from the traffic on the main road was not noticeable at night when trying to sleep. I’d like to say a huge thank you to all the staff who made our stay so relaxing and enjoyable. The team at Orama hotel work so well together and it really makes a difference to the overall experience and atmosphere. We look forward to returning here in the future, and I never usually visit the same place twice!

I have just returned from a week in the Orama with my daughter and we had a wonderful time. The location is perfect, within walking distance to the beautiful capital of Fira, with all of its shops, bars and restaurants. They have thought about everything you might need in a hotel room, including shower gel, shampoo, conditioner and body lotion, as well as an iron, ironing board, safe, fridge and hairdryer. There are three pools on three levels, all with sunloungers and umbrellas. The staff cannot do enough for you and are most welcoming and friendly. The restaurant offers a good range of food and drinks if you want to stay in. There is also a spa, my treatment was divine!
