AluaSoul Zakynthos

My partner and I stayed here for a week and had a lovely time. The hotel was clean and staff were friendly. We purchased the My Favourite Club upgrade when booking and we were really happy we did. It gave us a lovely room with a great view, and the pool area that you get with MFC is stunning. The steps down to the jetty were our favourite part, as it means we could pop in the sea without leaving the hotel and without getting sand everywhere. The water was so clear, it was lovely. Food was ok, we did get to sit in a different area of the restaurant with the MFC, however this wasn't staffed so there was the odd occasion that someone without the MFC bands were there - which isn't the end of the world but should be something the hotel looks into considering how much more you have to pay for MFC. The buffet is fairly small, but the food was nice. We ate outside of the hotel 3 of the nights out of the 7, and had lunch out three times which meant that the buffet didn't feel too repetitive. Location of the hotel is great, there's a street outside the hotel which has a few bars, restaurants and shops, as well as rental places where we rented a buggy for a day and organised a boat trip from. We went to Tsilivi which is a 10 minute taxi away which cost 11 euros each way, and Zakynthos town which is 25 minutes away and cost 20 euro each way. The hotel organised this for us and gave us the number to sort a return taxi which was helpful. Nice atmosphere in the hotel, and the entertainment was good for what we experienced. You do get the better cocktails and drinks options with MFC so that was nice to have. Overall would definitely recommend if you want a relaxing break, with the options of going out if you'd like. I think the MFC upgrade is worth it, however we got this in a deal when we made the booking so appreciate it's a big extra cost.

Superb location, amazing staff and just an all round great place to stay. Good food, plenty to drink, cleanliness was perfect all over and the helpfulness of staff if anything was needed, was never too much an issue to sort. Stayed here 3 times and looking to book again for next year.

This hotel on the whole was great but could do better especially as guest for My favourite club. My wife and I stayed here for a week in room 913 which is located in the My favourite club area and is facing the sea. When we arrived at the hotel to check in the girl at reception saw that we booked in MyFC and took us over to a separate area to check in and got us a drink from the bar which was a nice touch and was personalised and we completed check in on an Ipad and paid the tourist tax. We were taken by a golf buggy to our room and the room was spacious and well laid out and had wonderful view of the sea, our balinese bed and two loungers which I think the previous guests got them and brought them back to our room as not all people had loungers as well. There was a bottle of wine from the manager and the mini bar had 2 beers and 2 soft drinks and x 3 mini bottles of water and the bar was - not replaced during our stay. Food quality was good and hot but some will say not enough choice as they are used to having say 4 versions of chicken and 4 versions of beef on display but I felt the quality was good and hot and hot plates most of the time - always found something and the soups were fantastic. I feel the My favourite Club aspect could be improved with regards to drinks as there was no "exclusivity" as menus at all bars the same and no access to like proper bailleys or premium beers unless you pay. If you have stayed in an H10 priviledge room or been in their lounges you will certainly not have that level service here. Its not enough to have a different bar that no other guest can use as you have a black band but same drinks anyway at all bars. I certainly asked at our exclusive bar for a few drinks and told it would cost extra. The beer "Zorbas" was very pale and too gassy to start but got flat quick and I tastes like a light beer 3.5%. I thought being MyFC could get bottled beer or premium beer but no unless I pay. You also need to change the very low seats at the pool bar as they are not easy to get up from if you have back issues and this place is an absolute no for people for mobility issues - steep stairs and all on different levels and no lift that I could see. For me and my wife we liked having our own loungers and bed that we did not have to fight for and that area is so peaceful. The sea was great and good for snorkelling. There was lots of this hotel we liked and would come back but I feel there these to be more "Exclusivity" and more perks for My favourite club guests addressed before we do

We recently stayed at AluaSoul Zakynthos and had a thoroughly enjoyable holiday. Everything was always well organised and any small issues were dealt with quickly. Staff were always friendly and the hotel had a lovely atmosphere. We particularly enjoyed the evening entertainment! Room The room was standard and kept very clean throughout the stay. You get a fridge and a safe which is free to use along with kettle, hairdryer and a balcony facing the sea. There was a bath in the room however a plug would have been useful; there were none available when we asked at reception. Location AluaSoul is on the seafront with its own jetty with access into the sea for swimming/snorkelling; there is no beach as such. It is possible to walk to a nearby beach if you turn right out of the hotel which also has jet ski hire. The hotel is located off a main road with tourist shops and bars nearby (also a bar that shows Sky Sports if you wish to watch football!) Trips Very close to the hotel, there are many stands offering trips across the whole island. We went on the Turtle Island trip and thoroughly enjoyed it. The trip was very well organised and cheaper than booking through the holiday provider. There is also easy bus access to Tsilivi and Zakynthos with stops right outside the hotel. The bus was 2 euros 20 per person regardless of journey length. Restaurants/bars The all inclusive food was standard European (also catering for British tourists). There was always plenty to choose across all mealtimes with new dishes every night. There is an option of an a la carte restaurant which we were entitled to one visit of during our stay. This restaurant is located lower down in the hotel with a beautiful view of the sea and feels like you are 'out for the night'. All inclusive drinks are available throughout the day across 2 main bars as well as Bucks Fizz for breakfast! My Favourite Club We didn't opt for the My Favourite Club upgrade when booking as we were unsure of what it included. During our stay we found out that they have separate accommodation closer to the sea with infinity pools shared across the club members and a bottle of wine upon arrival. There is a separate bar area near these rooms that can be used by club members only. This bar closes at 6pm. Club members are entitled to some extra drinks on their menu but still have to pay for labelled brands. There is a section of the outdoor restaurant area that is reserved for club members but they can also choose to sit elsewhere in the restaurant. Despite the My Favourite Club section of the hotel spanning across the lower area of the hotel, you are still able to walk though it and reach the jetty. Entertainment The hotel entertainment was amazing with a different act every night of the week out on the restaurant/bar concourse. We were especially impressed by the singers 'Remarc Legends Zakynthos' who sang songs from a mixture of genres and got people up dancing. We also saw a saxophonist, an acrobat/dance troupe and other singing groups. We weren't expecting such a variety so this was an unexpected surprise. Pool Area The main pool is bigger than it looks in the photographs with plenty of loungers available. It even has pool loungers in the shallow end that are perfect for reading a book on or having a drink! There was poolside entertainment throughout the day (except Sundays) which included aquafit, darts, table tennis and water polo run by a very enthusiastic 'entertainment guy'. Spa There is a spa available on the lower ground of the hotel which included massages and facial treatments. There are also showers and toilets in this area that would be very useful if you have a late checkout. The hotel also has a luggage hold area to store your cases after checkout. Staff The staff at AluaSoul were very friendly and welcoming. From the reception staff to the restaurant/bar staff and cleaners, everyone went above and beyond. A special shoutout to Alexander, Ola and Fotis (restaurant area), Franco and Elion (lower bar area) and Alexandra and Dimitra (reception staff). Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable.

Just got back from a wonderful 9 days at this hotel, had an amazing time. We were worried the location might be a bit remote but it really isn’t at all. There’s a little jetty at the front of the hotel where you can go for a swim in the sea and a small beach next to it with a few bars and restaurants. There’s are more bars and a couple of supermarkets close by and you can get a bus very easily to Zakynthos town or Tsilivi which we weren’t keen on, too crazy busy for us. Back to the hotel, the rooms are spotlessly clean, the beds are comfortable. Our bathroom could have done with a bit of updating but nothing major. We had a partial sea view which we weren’t expecting so that was a bonus! The food was really good, beautifully cooked and so much choice with plenty of fresh vegetables and fruit. And finally the staff - wow they were brilliant. They work so hard to ensure you have a good time and nothing is too much trouble. They were all great but special mentions to Tony the barman (alright mate), Alex the restaurant manager (Kalispera), Alexandra and Joanna on reception and the beautiful Ola who greeted us with a smile every morning at breakfast.
