Cavo Suites

We have just come back from here and we stayed in 2 Swim Up rooms 723 and 726 ( sunny side rooms) My daughters 16 & 19 had their own room. We loved the rooms , Very clean and spacious . I would not have liked more than 2 people in a room just for the privacy aspect but that is my personal opinion. No full length mirror but we used the reflection off the windows outside for a full view - not a big negative as others have found. The Reception staff are lovely and breakfast has a large choice there is something everyone will like even my fussy 16 year old . The eggs are cooked to perfection. Overall I have seen some bad reviews but if you want a traditional Greek family run , full on entertainment accommodation - this is not for you. Cavo Suites has a chilled out quiet vibe which suited us on this holiday .

We have just checked out of this hotel so here is our sum up …. we arrived before check in time and was able to go straight to our room we had one of the ground floor rooms directly onto the pool. the room is clean and of decent size. You get two parts to the room the area with the bed sinks, toilets and shower then the sofa area leading on to the outside which has sliding privacy doors to the bedroom area. i’ve seen reviews regarding privacy and you have privacy nets on the windows you have black out curtains and you also have sliding wooden privacy panels, what more do you need ? the receptionists are both lovely friendly helpful gentlemen they remember what room you are in when leaving your key with them to leave the hotel and always greet you with a smile and happy to help you with any problems you have or need assistance with. One day we rented a quad and they made a phone call and with in 10 minutes they hire company came with the quad same with needing taxi from the airport ect… We even was able to get late check out at the cost of €50 which leaves you with your room the whole day if you have a late flight home like us. breakfast has a variety of hot foods from eggs, beans, potatos and mushrooms to cold items like yoghurts with fruits breads cheeses crackers and other vegetable items, the coffee is also nice from the machine along with the fruits juices on offer. Both sides of the hotel get sun one side in the morning and the other side in the evening we were on the that side and the evening sun was lovely. i would 100% return to this hotel it’s peaceful and we enjoyed our stay, thank you to the workers for being accommodating and making our trip enjoyable.

Location is good, in the older part of Kalamaki. Hotel is nice in aesthetics but lacks the lovely Greek charm of the family run hotels. It seems a bit clinical. Facilities good, nice shower etc and hot water. Double bed a little bit hard but fine. Nice to have a double and not twin beds. Most staff were nice but not very chatty. Cleaner was good. The blocks are facing each other so lacks privacy on the balcony. One side gets sun in the morning and the other side in the evening. You get a fridge and kettle. Wardrobe hanging space isn’t good. Could do with some pegs/rail to hang hand towels by sinks. No where to hang drying out on the balcony. Breakfast was ok, good selection, never hot though.. warm I would say. You have to leave your key at reception when you go out for security reasons.. Twice we returned to reception and nobody was around so we picked the key up ourselves from behind the desk. €20 deposit for 2 pool towels. Same for iron/board. We enjoyed our stay but I would rather stay in a family run hotel where you get the warm Greek friendly atmosphere. We loved la luna bar just up the road for cocktails and most of the restaurants are good.

Good location Cleaners were excellent. Bar staff and hosts excellent. Atmosphere STERILE outside of the interactions with staff. Rooms pretty to look at but totally impractical. No airer to dry bathing suits or towels. 3 people booked but two cups, chairs and glasses. Socket by single bed behind matress, had to pull matress out to get plug in. Socket not working leaving 3 in total the whole bottom floor. Fixed tap direct over plug hole which was a pain. The aircon wasnt the correct voltage / size / strength for the cubic area. Needed it 2 days out of ten, but would go off after ten mins no timer on. No privacy for toilet or shower: frosted glass between shower and toilet which open up into main area. Sound magnified in all I can described as an echo chamber cross mauselium. Lack of wardrobe space for more than 2. Its ok for a well established couple but if new ir sharing with others there is NO privacy whatsoever. Bar closed at 6pm. Breakfast gave a very good choice but one coffee machine which was pretty awful tasting. It looks pretty but its impractical and characterless. The lovely people who wirk there were the saving grace of this place, BUT Never again!

Disappointed to say the least the hotel felt like a morgue no atmosphere. Breakfast was awful and cold most of rhe time. The pillows were too soft and the mattresses were rock hard. Cleaning was done every day clean towels and toilets nothing else! We had a swim up room on the summer side when there was some. The pool didn't look inviting at all it got a quick clean in the morning after all the rain it was nearly flooding they did nothing to fix this sun loungers and umbrellas left in a mess. For the money it definitely isn't worth it. We enjoyed our holiday instead down at antonis pool bar where we had great breakfasts everyday and the people were more friendly and welcoming
