We have been 7 days at the King Jason Zante in a "superior swim up suite". This is an excellent hotel and we were very happy here. Our room (it was not a suite, it did not have a separate living area) was beautifully equipped and scrupulously clean. Our bed was extremely comfortable with top quality linen, pillows and quilt. We were somewhat perplexed at an open plan bathroom when we arrived but found there was a pull down modesty screen. Not quite sure why it wasn't a separate room but the shower was excellent. We were not too keen on the bathroom towels as they were rather hard especially on sunburn. The body lotion, shower gel and shampoo etc were top quality and we very much liked the pool towels. We were kept supplied with water and drinks in the mini bar and the air conditioning was very quiet. No complaints at all over that. I thought the hairdryer supplied was rather poor, having to keep a finger on the button to make it work but that is a small thing. The restaurant was lovely, we stayed in the main Water Garden buffet restaurant which we found excellent. I felt 4 nights out of 7 with pork as the main carvery was a bit much as it is not the most popular meat these days. However, there were plenty of alternatives and we loved the air conditioned salad room for our self chosen starters. The desserts were somewhat 'over chocolated' but that seems to be what a lot of people like. I mainly had ice cream and my husband had fruit. The waiting staff were simply superb, possibly the best ever and special mention of Thakur from Nepal who always seemed to be there to help. Plenty of wine, lovely fresh bread and plenty of choice. Breakfast was also excellent. The swimming pool was one of the best ever and we were surprised how few guests used it. It was glorious. The sunloungers were the most comfortable ever but you had to watch your fingers when changing position ! Any cons ? Well the architect who designed it on a hill facing north needed to turn the accommodation round by 45 degrees because all rooms lost the sun around 2pm which is rather disappointing when you have to go elsewhere in the grounds for a sunlounger in the sun when you've paid for a swim up room. Also the ledge on which the sunloungers were was very small and a very tight fit and the loungers could not be turned to face the sun. In a true suite there would be more width with a living space added so the ledge could have been larger. One of the reception staff said it is because it is later in the season the sun dips lower and it is better in June and July. That may well be true but it was a constant complaint among the guests that there was little/no sun after 2pm. This applies to ALL accommodation. Despite being on a hillside this hotel is perfectly ok for disabled guests with a lift to the restaurant and buggies to transport people to further away rooms. It was 35 degrees all the time we were there so we did not attempt the walk down the hill or even have a taxi into the village. Would we come back ? On balance yes we would, possibly in June and see if there is more sun available in the afternoon ! We would happily have stayed longer because it was a tranquil hotel with 5* features in a fabulous setting. Adults only too and all inclusive.
Absolutely stunning hotel, staff were amazing nothing was too much trouble. For an adults only relaxing, fabulous food and wine holiday we can highly recommend it.
A beautiful, relaxed holiday location. We are having the most wonderful time. The staff are all incredible, all of them.
This was our second visit to King Jason Zante, and once again, we were not disappointed. From the personal welcome at check-in to the exceptional attention and service from every member of staff, everything was just as wonderful as we remembered. It was especially lovely to see so many familiar faces from our stay in 2025, particularly among the restaurant staff. Their friendliness and dedication made us feel right at home. Our suite was spacious, spotlessly clean, and featured a wonderful shower. The housekeeping service was excellent throughout our stay. The food was fantastic once again, with plenty of choice, fresh ingredients, and delicious flavours. The service and personal attention in the restaurants were just as perfect as we had experienced last year. One small downside was that the menus had not changed since our previous visit. This applied to both the buffet restaurant and the two à la carte restaurants. Some variety from year to year would have been a welcome improvement. The quality of the drinks and the service at the pool bar were also excellent. Finding a holiday that compares to King Jason Zante will be a real challenge. Thank you to the entire team for another unforgettable stay. Perhaps see you again next year!
Absolutely top marks in every way. This place is special. The atmosphere is great, the setting is amazing, and the staff are out of this world. Special mention to George, who is always so happy to see us, and to Lambros, who makes the most fantastic drinks. But truly, every member of staff is awesome. Highly recommended.
