Lesante Cape – The Leading Hotels of the World

We paid over €18,000 for our stay and specifically arranged our flights to arrive shortly after the 3 PM check-in time because we were travelling with our small baby. Unfortunately, our villa was not ready, and we had to wait THREE HOURS before we could finally check in. We were offered another villa temporarily, but moving all our belongings and our baby into one villa only to move again a few hours later was simply not a reasonable solution. At this price point, this is completely unacceptable. What made the experience even more disappointing was the complete lack of compensation or genuine customer care afterwards. Despite raising our concerns and subsequently emailing the manager directly, we received no response to that email and were offered no compensation whatsoever. The villa itself was beautiful, and we actually enjoyed the rest of our stay so much that we had already booked again for next year. However, because of the way this situation was handled, we have decided to cancel that reservation. For a resort charging such exceptionally high prices, we expected a completely different level of professionalism and customer service. Unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing, and we cannot recommend this property.

We had a once-in-a-lifetime stay at Lesante Cape, and honestly, we were absolutely heartbroken to come home. What a beautiful, special place - but what really made it for us was the people. Every member of staff we came across was warm, friendly and genuinely seemed to care about making sure you had a wonderful stay. From the moment we arrived, everything felt effortless. Check-in was incredibly smooth and within 30 minutes of arriving we were in our room with our luggage. After travelling, that kind of seamless arrival really sets the tone. Our suite: We stayed in a Sea View Suite with a private pool, and it was gorgeous. The room was spacious, spotlessly clean and beautifully presented, with a huge amount of outdoor space. We were also really lucky with the position of our room. There was no room above us, so our terrace felt incredibly private and wasn't overlooked. We did notice that some of the pool suites have balconies above them, so if complete privacy is important to you, it might be worth asking about the exact position of your suite when booking. The private pool was lovely for cooling off although ours didn't get much sun, so the water was very cold! Given the temperatures, though, it was actually quite welcome after spending time in the heat. The staff are exceptional: I can't emphasise this enough. The staff are what made Lesante Cape so special for us. Everyone was so friendly and attentive without ever being overbearing. Nothing felt too much trouble, but equally you never felt like you were constantly being fussed over. It's a really difficult balance to get right, and they absolutely nailed it. A particular shout-out to Betty, who was an absolute ray of sunshine. She was so warm, welcoming and positive every time we saw her and genuinely made us smile. There was just a lovely feeling throughout the resort that everyone wanted you to have a great time. That level of service is something we'll remember long after the holiday itself. Breakfast was incredible: We were on a bed and breakfast basis, and breakfast was genuinely one of the best hotel breakfasts we've ever had. The choice was huge, with an amazing selection of both sweet and savoury options, as well as an egg menu and really good coffee. There was something for every possible breakfast mood. And the cinnamon buns... honestly. Ridiculously good. If we were being incredibly picky, the one thing we missed was fresh berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries etc.) But that's genuinely us trying to find something! Food & restaurants: We really enjoyed eating around the resort. Novita was our favourite. We ate there twice because we enjoyed it so much. The setting and views are spectacular, the food was excellent and the staff were brilliant. We also really appreciated that they were happy to make small adaptations to dishes to suit our preferences - those little touches make such a difference. We also ate at the Taverna, which was great fun. We specifically chose it because of the authentic Greek music and plate smashing, and it was exactly the sort of experience we wanted from a Greek holiday. The food was great too. One piece of feedback we'd genuinely give the hotel is around the set menus. We found the Taverna set menu to be a lot of food, particularly after having such a substantial breakfast every morning. We would have loved the option of either an à la carte menu or perhaps a choice between a full set menu and some smaller options. This actually influenced our plans elsewhere too; We ended up cancelling our booking at Bostani because we didn't really want another set menu with so much food. It's a small thing, but having a little more flexibility would mean guests could enjoy more of the restaurants without feeling like they had to commit to a large multi-course meal. The pool menu was also really good, but we found ourselves wanting something slightly different on occasion. After a big breakfast, sometimes you just want a small lunch or a snack rather than another full meal. So we'd love to see a few smaller plates/light bites added to the pool menu. We think that would be a really useful addition, particularly for guests spending the day by the pool. We didn't try Fiore as we were travelling on more of a budget than some of the other guests, but we heard lots of great things about it. The resort itself: The whole resort is just beautiful. There are lovely pool areas, plenty of space to relax and the setting is fantastic. The pools were on the colder side, but after spending time in the Greek heat, we actually found the cold water really refreshing. The gym is also really well equipped, which was a nice bonus for us. The only thing we'd suggest here is a little more air conditioning around the gym and spa, as we found both quite warm. And then there's the sea. The hotel's beach is quite small and rocky, with two jetties, but the water is absolutely beautiful and perfect for swimming. Bring rock shoes and you'll be absolutely fine! Exploring beyond the resort: We also hired a car for a few days, which gave us the chance to explore beyond the resort. We ate at Bassia and Prosilio, both very close by and both excellent for different reasons. Prosilio is more fine dining and a little fancy, while Bassia had incredible views and more of an authentic feel. We also went to Noe Beach Bar, which was lovely - especially as it gave us a sandy beach day rather than another day of rocks! We visited Nobelus for dinner too, although we actually wished afterwards that we'd gone during the day because the setting looked incredible and would have been even more beautiful in daylight. One thing to know about the atmosphere: We're in our mid/late 30s and found the resort became very quiet after around 10pm. Again, this isn't necessarily a negative - it's simply worth knowing what type of holiday you're booking. Lesante Cape is incredibly peaceful and tranquil, and if you're looking for somewhere to switch off, enjoy a beautiful dinner and be in bed by 10, it's perfect. For us personally, we would have enjoyed just a little more evening atmosphere - perhaps some chilled music or a DJ by the pool where you could sit with a cocktail. Nothing loud or "party", just something to create a little more atmosphere after dinner. We did feel that we were perhaps among the younger guests during our stay, so it's just something we'd mention for anyone of a similar age who enjoys a little more life in the evenings. Overall: Anything constructive we've mentioned above, we genuinely had to dig deep to find. We're including it because we think it's useful feedback for the hotel and genuinely helpful for future guests deciding whether Lesante Cape is the right fit for them. Because overall, we absolutely loved it. The rooms are beautiful. The setting is stunning. The food is fantastic. The resort is peaceful and incredibly well maintained. But for us, the people were the real standout. A huge thank you to every single person at Lesante Cape for making our stay so memorable. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, we felt incredibly well looked after. We're already wishing we were back!

We visited this hotel for the second time this same year, because we couldn’t wait a whole year to return. From the moment you walk through the door, you find a sense of peace and tranquility that lasts the duration of your stay. The setting is outstanding the food is exceptional, but it is the staff that make it what it is. All staff consistently go above and beyond. Special thanks again to Emmanuel; the hardest working man we know! He is so kind and gracious and always happy to help with anything you need. It is people like Emmanuel that make this hotel truly magical and worthy of its esteemed title as one of the leading hotels of the world. Well worth a visit. We will be back again. Thank you to all.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Lesante Cape. From the moment we arrived, everything was exceptional. The resort is beautiful, elegant and perfectly designed, with a wonderful atmosphere that combines luxury with the authentic character of Zakynthos. Our room was spacious, comfortable and spotless, and the entire property was exceptionally well maintained. The restaurants offered excellent food and variety, while the service throughout the resort was warm, professional and attentive. The staff truly made us feel welcome. A fantastic resort and a memorable experience from beginning to end!

This is a truly exceptional hotel. The location is great - about 2Km from Zakinthos town. Very quiet location on the cliffs with access to a small beach. Service standards are very high. Food offering is the best I have experienced.
