Pierros Verde Private Suites

Loved everything about this place — the vibe, the staff, and how every little detail felt so thoughtful. It’s the kind of hotel that makes you never want to check out!

The Pierros Verde Hotel is very nicely situated just five minutes walk from the sea front. It has five star status and so we anticipated a luxurious holiday in every respect. Sadly the Pierros Verde failed in important areas to even reach three star rating. Firstly, housekeeping. Linens and towels were changed in our room regularly but the sink and shower cubicle was not cleaned for 10 days. Secondly, the restaurant. Breakfast was excellent, a wide choice of food, well presented and served. We prepaid for half board, a big mistake. On arrival we were presented with a menu for each day of the week and asked to let reception know our choice of meal each morning. Sunday - Pork steak with steamed rice OR Cabbage with rice and tomato sauce Monday - Chicken with potato wedges OR Grilled seasonal vegetable in olive oil Tuesday - Sea Bream with potato OR Chickpeas with olive oil Wednesday - Pork OR Beans with tomato sauce Thursday - Eggplant OR Greek Pasta Friday - Beef, orzo and tomato sauce OR Baby gem lettuce with pea puree and walnuts Saturday - Shrimp pasta OR Mushrooms with wine and tomato sauce After a complaint to the Manager we were "allowed" to choose from the a la carte menu but could not choose fish, beef or lamb! On day 8 of our stay we thought we had achieved a breakthrough as we were allowed to choose fish. However, our delight was short lived as the portion for one person was given to us to share!!! This is not what one expects from a five star hotel. The hotel was clearly profiting from the half board pre payment which was considerable. In total frustration we ate at a local restaurant for the final two nights of our stay and enjoyed excellent fish and lamb!!! It saddens me to write this review as the staff, particularly Rose and his reception colleagues, have a six star rating in my opinion for their kindness and helpfulness. I do not like a hotel taking advantage of a pre payment for meals and then serving food that represents only a fraction of what has been paid. I would never return.

This is going to be a long review, because I want to personally mention everyone who made our experience even more special. My very first time in Greece became even more beautiful thanks to my stay at Pierros Verde and the amazing staff. When we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by Rose and Marios. You can truly feel the sincerity in the way they connect with you. Rose immediately shared some wonderful tips about the island with us. He knows so much about Greece (not only about Zakynthos!), so you can ask him anything. After a delicious welcome drink and a refreshing cold towel, Marios showed us to our room and gave us a little tour on the way and inside the room. He immediately told us he would take care of us during our entire holiday and that we could ask him anything we needed. The hotel itself is BEAUTIFUL, surrounded by olive trees. We stayed in a room with a shared pool, and in the afternoons we would sometimes order a drink. Jason and Gery always served us with kindness, often stopping for a little chat and asking how we were doing. Every drink and snack was perfectly prepared and delicious. Every morning we were greeted by the sweet, smiling face of our receptionist Ioanna. She is so kind, helpful and always thinking along with you. One morning I lost my water bottle and was looking around for it. She immediately came over to check if I was okay and quickly found a solution for me, so I could leave in time to catch the boat. The hotel manager, Mr. Thodoris, truly touched my heart. On our last day, there was extreme rainfall on Zakynthos. When I opened the door, I saw him completely drenched, holding a basket, searching for a cat. Inside were kittens and he was trying to find their mother so they could feed. He spent hours in the pouring rain, soaking wet, doing his best to help them. He has such a big heart and cares deeply for the animals, even while being so busy with the hotel. He also came running to our car with an umbrella in the heavy rain so we wouldn’t get wet. Marios would always walk with us, holding the umbrella above our heads while getting wet himself. The service and kindness are truly exceptional! And then the lovely lady in the spa: Sotiria!! She gave me such a wonderful experience at the spa. If you stay here, make sure to book a massage with her you absolutely won’t regret it! On the last day, I also met the owner of the hotel. He was very kind and took the time to have a conversation with me about the holiday and he really appreciated that I shared our holiday experience. I can honestly say that these people made my very first experience in Greece so much more beautiful. Pierros Verde is not only stunning as a hotel, but the people who work here are each and every one of them extraordinary. I cannot wait to return! Pierros Verde is a simply dream place for your stay if you are seeking for privacy, quite place and same time close to the beautiful spots. You feel so welcome from the entire team From the first step there. Welcome drink, fresh towels upon arrival, extra care to the details. Thank you to the entire team for making our stay unforgettable. We had an amazing stay and we will see you next year as well.

This is an absolute true find on this beautiful island. If you are thinking of booking … do it. A peaceful escape to a wonderful part of this island set amongst Olive Trees. The attention to every detail is simply second to none. Nothing is ever too much trouble & you’re made to feel so at home in the beautiful surroundings of your suite.Staff are always available to sort out anything you may need from room service, local information or just a little chat. Cleanliness is outstanding. There’s always someone cleaning , brushing up leaves or polishing. This includes the gorgeous cool swim up sparkling pools. If you love interiors you’ll be in instagram heaven . Quality furniture & soft furnishings are every where to admire. And finally the food … quality home made fresh delights. Bread , preserves orange & lemon juices. Rib eye steak, fish, Lamb & traditional deserts to mention but a few .The menu was interesting & everything cooked to perfection.I also thought the prices were very reasonable. Breakfast was included in the price of the suite & couldn’t May i thank Anastasiia especially & her wonderful staff in making me feel so comfortable & spoilt during my stay ... i will definitely return x
