From the moment we arrived at Laila Hotel in Mahe, we were welcomed with refreshing towels, a cool drink, and the warmest smiles from the friendliest staff on the island. The atmosphere is truly magical — safe, serene, and just steps away from the beach with breathtaking views that make you feel instantly at home. The rooms are stunning, thoughtfully cooled to balance Seychelles’ tropical warmth, with beds so comfortable you’ll never want to leave. Traveling with our 10-year-old son, we were touched to find a perfectly prepared separate bed waiting for him — without us even asking. That attention to detail speaks volumes about the care and thoughtfulness of the team. We had the privilege of celebrating my husband’s birthday here, and the staff went above and beyond. The bed was beautifully decorated with a welcome-back message, and they surprised us with a special rooftop dinner under the stars — an unforgettable experience that made the occasion truly magical. The hotel’s deli is a treasure in itself, offering the best desserts, pastries, and dinners to enjoy onsite or take home. Their wine selection is excellent, and with Kafe Kreol just across the road, you can easily access the beach while enjoying cocktails, lunch, or dinner. What makes Laila stand out is not just the location or amenities, but the people. The staff radiate joy and hospitality, and GM Tom is a remarkable host who ensures every guest feels valued and cared for. In every way, Laila Hotel is exceptional value for money — blending luxury, warmth, and unforgettable experiences. It’s not just a place to stay; it’s a place to feel cherished.

My wife stayed here for a couple of days with our child, and it was a wonderful experience. A very beautiful hotel with chic design and a very welcoming feel throughout. It's right across the road from a beautiful beach, where you'll find a beach bar and shaded spots to relax. The food in the hotel is very good, and there are two pools — a larger one and a smaller one. She had a suite upgrade with a jacuzzi on the terrace, which was lovely once she figured out how it heats up. The one downside is that the pool loungers get very busy, so you can't always get a spot. The staff are helpful and friendly throughout, and there's a concierge number you can text via WhatsApp. Nice extras include a complimentary daily tea service in the lounge, complimentary smoothies handed out in the pool area, and a fun kids' area to use. Booking was seamless — she'd reserved via Amex and the Marriott app, and they had no trouble merging the two. As a Marriott Bonvoy Platinum Elite member travelling with our child, she felt genuinely welcomed, and they organised the airport transfer without any issues. A very nice experience overall — I'd have loved to stay here too, and we'll definitely make that happen next time.

Dissapointing. The place is heavily understaffed. Pool bar, second floor bar are empty most of the day, noone from the staff is ever present. Restaurant staff is rude and has zero motivation. At breakfast, the manager suggested that we should pay for taking away 50g of peanuts. The stay is EUR300/night by the way. Also you may want to have some food stored for the evening, since most places are closed after 21:30 and reception staff won't lift a finger to get any snacks for the hungry guests. Well, Samira tried but unfortunately failed and gave up quick. Fun fact, the hotel has a Playstation at the games room but no TV, they have SPA but noone is ever there.
