Upon arrival we found it a little frustrating that check in was in another hotel across the road. The reception team whoever we came across with was very polite, friendly and helpful. The room looked fabulous, trendy cottage style, we were in number 8. Unfortunately there was a huge wet stain in front of the main wardrobe in the master bedroom which took 2 days to dry, so it was a challenge to get in there without getting socks wet. The heating had it’s own mind, when we needed to dry some clothes at 10am it wasn’t working. The hot water was an issue. It was 5 of us and it took so long for hot water to start we must have wasted 30 litres of water each time. After 1 bath the hot water often simply stopped working ( in the evenings) and we had to run pots and kettles so others could have a bath. It was impossible to take a shower standing up due to roof being too low and the whole set up of the bath. This is irresponsible waste of water and it’s hypocritical to ask to save the water-reuse the towels - as per signage in bathroom. 3 of us had to take turns in one bath, to help to reduce this aweful waste. There is no housekeeping , only top up of soap and towels, this isn’t done every day. This is not an issue and housekeeping isn’t advertised, but the soaps were all finished when we arrived. Breakfast was awesome and it was changing slightly daily. BUT! Why on earth would you serve the old rolls/rohliky ?? These were simply aweful looking, untouched by guests and embarrassing as these are usually everyone’s breakfast favourite. It must be tough for the waitress team to hear people laughing at it and seeing their shocked faces. Just don’t serve them at all? Sliced Bread was nice. Team was always topping up and the area was very clean. I would try a different hotel next time-sorry Aplend!

Average stay. Good initial impression, but the longer we stayed, the worse it was. Mediocre breakfast, even the bread was not always that fresh, the same for vegetables. The sofa in the room was basically broken, we noticed it only when we wanted to make up the bed. But the worst thing was the smell in the toilet and in the bathroom; felt like mold, could not get used to it, awful!!! (and probably very unhealthy) There is probably something wrong with the ventilation, but I am not an expert. On a positive note, the crew was VERY helpful and reacted quickly to all of our remarks (e.g. entry card malfunction, bulb replacement, etc.)

Great location in heart of Tatranska Lomnica, comfy and spacious apartment. Tasty breakfast but with nearly the same offerings every day. Possibility to store bicycles and othwr equipment. Towel service in place. Without reception which is located in Hotel Lujza Major
