Hotel Rogla

We went to this horel for skying trip for 4 nights. Lovely location, lovely hotel, great inside sport activities as well. My BUT are: we had rooms in modern renovated part of the hotel. Very stylish but - terrible lightening - NO ceiling light, many small lights but rooms really dark. You definitely wont read a book or play cards there. This is unfortunat style of designers of tha last few years. Heating - all cetrally regulated. But how clening teqm regulates this - you go ski and they open your window, which switches off heating. You come back after skying to freezing room. Sustainibility - I am not obcess but i trust that small things matters. Breqkfast & dinner - staff takes all plates, mags , glasses immediately from you, you might nit finish with typw of food and crockery is gone. This was really obcesively intensive, and unnecessary. Vey unfriendly towards ecology. But also very annoying for guests. Same with rooms - there were no old feshion cards DO NOT DISTURB, and cleaining staff came every day to exchange towels !! We found out that there is option on room temperature regulater to switch light on to stop them ut hardly anyone sees this. Again what a waste of energy. So sometimes LESS IS MORE - This is message to hotel management as thi can be changed. And only one real criticism - departure day, we had rooms till 10am. But staff without nocking the door attended our rooms since 8.30, cards stopped working to other guys at 9am. This should not happend!!! And staff can come to rooms only when reception confirms check out. This was very unprofessiinal. Take this as feedback to improve as otherwise we really loved our stay. We stayed in this hotel for two nights to get away from the city heat wave and enjoy magnificent Slovenian nature. The hotel is in great location. Rooms Are rather small but modern. We had a beautiful balcony. We were situated on the ground floor. As some other reviews have said, the hallway doors were open and you can feel the light breeze coming in the hall. We didn't have a problem with that since it was July and we loved the quick access to the playground. However It could be tricky in the winter months and would NEVER take ground floor room in that case. The stuff was very very polite. Especially on the reception. We were late for our dinner for the first night and was allowed to eat in the restaurant "stara koča" if I am not mistaken. That was very nice. The hotel food was ok, nothing too fancy, but tasty. The swimming pool area was clean, with one big and one small swimming pool. There aren't a lot of sunbeds next to the pool. I wonder how it looks like in winter months when the hotel gets crowded. All in all we had a beautiful stay and would come again!

It is gorgeous hotel, with amasing rooms. I was kn business trip, but honesty, it is places just to do sports or eventually spa. There is nothing around, and when I say nothing, it is literally just forest. Only bad thing about this place is food. There was almost non vegan options, even vegetarian were rare. For vegan options was only potato's and rice and raw tofu if you ask for it. So bring vegan snacks with you!

Hi everyone We stayed here last year for one night and it was nice mostly because you have a lot of different things you can do in surrounding areas. Also the new part of the hotel is very nice decorated, especially the rooms are very beautiful in wooden design. The only interesting thing is that if you book directly with them and you stay less Then two days, you have to pay additional fee because you’re staying less than two days, but if you book through booking for one night you can only pay for one night. Believe me it true. I did my research and at the end I was surprised as well, because normally if you book directly with the hotel, it usually comes a few euro cheaper. The breakfast was buffet and it was a great variety of different choices even though the contain is very old-fashioned. I hope in the near future they will also renovate the dining area but other than that we had a pleasant two days stay.

Very dissapointed with the staff behaviour at the reception - specially nice to foreign guests, Croats in particular, but rude to home guests. Also, it is a shame that most of staff don't even speak Slovenian.
