I am sure we all have experiences of All inclusive and what you get. This hotel takes it for us to an all time low. On arrival you have to pay 10 euros pp for a coded wrist band to your room. Reception then explain that to go back at 10.00 on your last day to get deposit back but give you a voucer for lunch on your last day. Last day Reception now say leave room at 11.00 come back at 12.00. Cut off wrist bands now you cannot get any drinks or snacks anywhere in the hotel. You can keep wrist bands if you surrender your deposits for us 60 euros having already paid 60 euros to keep a room on till we left at 16.45. Day light robbery! Arrival on bus you arr dropped atound 5 minutes away at a bus stop despite there being a large car park in front of the hotel. Even worse on pick up as we had to be at the bus stop waiting in 35 degrees, and around 50 guests for almost 30 minutes. Reception and views of the 5 levels are impressive but don't get your hopes up as based on our rooms (261 & 263) the standard of the rooms is at best 2 star. AC only operated on 1 speed and temp did not change, no extract in bath rooms and mould across ceilings and cheap sliding doors with damaged handle. Room has a safe (extra cost), mini fridge (no water), kettle, coffee & tea & 2 double beds with limited storage. When I asked for tea & coffee to be replenished the Reception advised these are complimentary on arrival only and not refilled? Grouting and detail in bathroom is poor with black spot and large gaps and generally poorly maintained. Restaurant, food again poor quality, generally warm at best and too small a restaurant meaning peak times cramped and long queues for food. Lunch time worst example with queues from restaurant to reception around 100 people queuing for 30 minutes or more to get lunch. Poolside services, can only be described as a burger van staffed by 2 people, chips, burgers, hot dogs, margarita pizza, donuts, melon, toasted ham n cheese sandwich. Only one ever hot of the hot foods was the pizza if you were lucky. Burger van has no seating, 2 umbrellas to cover people at the counter everyone else stands on hot tiled floor tiles for up to 25/30 minutes at peak. Staff spoke very little english and more than happy to setve queue jumping Spanish guests and have long conversations whilst other guest wait. Poolside toilets are poor quality portacabin type facilities with no locks, damaged flushers and regularly full of toilet paper despite signs and bins. Pool bar way to small, limited seating and under staffed meaning again long queues for drinks, snacks & ice lollies. Pools opened at 10.00, water park (11.00) were good for kids and small pool and slides for smaller children was the highlight and grand kids loved these. Quite pool 11.00) is the only place you can try & swim and is about 10m by 30m. Life guards lack any motivation and pool opened late every day and also wandered off for up to 10 minutes. Quite rules only applied to non-spanish guest. Spanish guest allowed to use floats, shout and scream and large groups of youths jumping in & messing around and spanish guests go in when closed and reserve beds. Sun beds, are old and need replackng and no where near enough and same for fixed brollies. Hotel rules advertised no reserving, 2 beds per room make a mockery as Families need a bed each. Hotel grounds are in a shocking state of repair as as I am a property manager I am aware of acceptable standards. Broken tiles, uneven floors around pool bar, broken chairs, holes and raised man hole and access covers. Staff operating power washes and gardening equipmwhen guest access woth hoses and cuttins all over. Football pitch needs replacing with splits, tears, holes, bad patch repairs, threadbare and nit fit to use. Besch volley ball area if possible was wirse thsn the football pitch and barely any sand. Large areas adjacent to this and path to beach in a total state of disrepair and cluttered with pallets and ithe builders waste. Main bar and entertainment area, no AC and basically a massive sweat shop. 2 very good shows and entertainment team tried to really hard but only spoke in spanish so very hard to join in. Queues at bar again an issue with peak times up to 15 minutes and again spanish guest ignore the queue and were served by bar staff. Beach is 'cat litter" sand but does have a shower nice bonus and around 5/10 minutes walk. We did have 2 incidents with jelly fish which stopped the kids going in. Beach path to town centre is circa 40 minutes walk away but unless you have good spanish bars not english friendly and our experience was to be ignored after I tried to order. Locally around the hotel is extensive building woks and overhead cranes. Limited locsl shops but around 15 minutes away is a very large shopping centre. Bizarre and first, spanish gusets were stayong and had their dogs with them, at least 5 different dogs seen. Also saw spanish adult push a english girl around 11 over during a kids argument and life guards did nothing amd when reporyed to reception same response. Normally I would have positive comments on the staff but with the exception of a small number of the hotel team the staff failed to speak or acknowledge non-spanish guests and made no attempt to make us feel welcome. This hotel and resort is the first we cannot recommend in any way and would recommend avoiding both. Jet2 would do well to drop this hotel as we wont be the only guest to complain and request a refund as the description and services advertised do not match those provided.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A great family holiday – the kids absolutely loved it! We’ve just returned from a week at Alegria Colonial Mar Aqua Fun and overall we had a really lovely holiday. I’d give it a solid 4 out of 5. The hotel itself was clean and the staff were lovely, especially the reception staff, pool bar staff and the staff at the snack truck, who were all really friendly and helpful. The rooms were lovely and spacious and the beds were absolutely massive, which was a bonus! The only slight struggle for us was having a walk-in shower rather than a bath with a 1 year old, but we managed and it certainly wasn’t a major issue. The pools and water slides were brilliant and definitely one of the highlights for us. The kids had the best time, my 7-year-old actually said it was “the best week of his life”, which probably says more than any review could! 😂 The main thing that lets the hotel down slightly is the location. It’s quite a long walk along the beach to the marina, especially when you have young children with you, and the surrounding area is definitely more residential than touristy. That didn’t bother us at all – you’re in Spain, so of course there are going to be Spanish people! I find it quite bizarre that people in a lot of reviews are complaining about there being Spanish people at a hotel in Spain 🤔 but it’s worth knowing if you’re expecting lots of tourist shops, bars and restaurants right outside the hotel. The beach is also pebbles and dusty rather than sandy, so don’t go expecting to spend your days building sandcastles! Having said that, bizarrely the beach was probably my toddler’s favourite part of the entire holiday even if he was absolutely filthy within seconds 😂 We stayed All Inclusive and honestly couldn’t complain about the food. There were some lovely meat choices, plenty of pasta, salads etc. It’s typical all inclusive food, but certainly not bad, and after reading some of the reviews just before we travelled I was actually expecting it to be much worse! Because we have young children, we tended to go down early for breakfast and the evening meal and never had to queue or struggle to find a table. We did sometimes notice quite a big queue forming as we were leaving though, so I think your experience with the restaurant could depend a lot on what time you choose to eat. The pool bar and snack truck were also really good for All Inclusive guests. Being able to get both small and large bottles of water included was brilliant and saved us having to keep buying them from a shop. Cornetto-style ice creams were included too, and the snack truck had burgers, chicken nuggets, chips, pizza, cheese & ham toasties, hot dogs, doughnuts and watermelon – perfect when you’ve got hungry kids who don’t want to leave the pool! Overall, we had a great family holiday. The hotel is clean, the rooms are spacious, the staff are lovely, the pools and slides are fantastic for children and we were pleasantly surprised by the All Inclusive food. The location might not suit everyone, particularly if you want to be right in the middle of a busy tourist area, but it really didn’t spoil our holiday. We came home with two very happy kids and some lovely memories made ☺️

Just done 2 weeks here I was unsure before going as some of the reviews could put you off a bit but after my own experience at the hotel I’d say it ticks every box that you need for a family holiday. Had a gym, Big & small water slides for different ages which were seperated in different areas but close by. mini disco followed by some shows closed up around 11pm at night Restaurant & snack bar had plenty of choices Room I stayed in was huge which had a sea view & view of the quiet pool , air con worked room felt like it has had upgrades done at some point. cleaners were very friendly, Location was good beach front shopping centre close by, visited the market which was on a Thursday & fun fair which was open till late for the kids all in close distance of hotel & area all around is flat Not too bad of a transfer from airport Overall pleasantly suprised
