We're currently staying at this hotel at the moment, leaving in 2 days, and are actually quite grateful as we've managed to escape a disgusting UK heatwave! However, would we return to this hotel? No. Do we think we were misled by the EasyJet advertising? Yes. The hotel overall is just a bit 'meh'. We are staying on floor 2, around the 2000's, and the whole floor needs a lick of paint, as does a lot of the outside of the hotel. Parts of it look very run down. Having said that, the main reception, restaurant and bar areas are very nice, clean and tidy. As is the pool area, although this can get a bit chaotic during daytime and some of wooden decking around the pool is a massive trip hazard. The room itself is big enough for 3 of us and has been perfectly fine for what we need. BUT, the air con has needed to be on and has smelt like the bottom of a toilet for the last few days. The balcony railing to our room is unstable, plus our room sits adjacent to a neighbouring hotel and their 5-a-side pitch, which is used until 1am in the morning... The swimming pools are good. Our little one has loved the slides in the kids pool. We spent the first few days camped by that pool and The Grill, however now setup camp each day on the southern area near to The Green Monkey, where it's a lot quieter. On the food and drink... SO hit and miss. Firstly, the alcohol tastes horrendous and is clearly cheap or going off. You also can't self serve drinks during lunch and dinner and the whole ticketing system for drinks is just strange. The food itself is actually pretty good we've found. Breakfast is repetitive, but it is in every hotel in the world. There has been a lot of changing variety in lunch and dinner, which has been good, BUT we have been served undercooked meat on the 'live cooking stations' on several occasions - NOT GOOD. Note to parents with young children - the Zeker restaurant serves the exact same food as the Area 50 main buffet but is 100% quieter. Seems that a lot of guests don't actually know this and we only found out 4 days in! The area outside of the hotel is nice. The beach is fairly quiet and the promenade outside makes for a good evening walk. Some ok shops on the western end. The hotel does have a small shop, and there is also a Mercado and Aldi 15 minutes walk away if you need essentials. What we have found the most is how the staff favour the Spanish. The occupancy of the hotel is primarily Spanish, and some of them are particularly rude. It has to be said that some of the staff are very good, but some of them lack personality and clearly don't like their jobs! Overall, it's been ok, but for over £2k spent on a holiday, ok isn't good enough. We wouldn't come back, and nor would I recommend someone to come here, sorry.
Byly staré, zašlé a popraskané.
