Expo Barcelona

We stayed here for 3 nights - came direct from the airport on the train to the Sants Estació stop directly outside the hotel. Lovely big rooms - both ours had balconies. There is a lovey big foyer with pool and other games and many many seating sections with beanbags and comfortable couches. We hung out there after check out and before getting our train to move on to our next location. Nice rooftop pool and restaurant (though we didn't eat there). The staff were generally nice (big shout out to Andrea, the lady who checks you in for breakfast and the youung woman who works in the executive lounge), Bar staff were grumpy but we did arrive at midnight so maybe they were tired!

Location is fab if you’re getting train from airport. Funky interiors and minimalistic rooms which need some hooks for hanging towels and a mini fridge. Bathroom is spacious with everything you need (apart from body lotion). Love having facecloths to use. Beds are comfy. Aircon great. Noisy doors as rooms are very close together. Kettle is rare, loved that, didn’t like the paper cups though. 2 tins of water provided daily, another nice touch. Rooms made up every day to a good standard. Rooftop pool area a nice escape. Overall a great base close to the metro station and train station.

We had a mixed experience at Moxy Barcelona. The room was one of the highlights—clean, modern, and uniquely designed. We also loved having the patio, and the surrounding neighborhood was pleasant and convenient for getting around the city. The breakfast was very good, with a nice variety of fresh, quality food each morning. Where the hotel fell short was the service. We found the staff to be less helpful than we expected, and it was frustrating that they were unwilling to call a taxi for us when we needed one. While we understand guests can use ride-hailing apps, we expected a hotel to assist with something as basic as arranging transportation. We also visited the bar several times, and some of the bartenders were unable to make traditional cocktails, which was disappointing. Overall, the hotel has stylish rooms, a good breakfast, and a great location, but the customer service experience left room for improvement.
