Expo Barcelona

I like the atmosphere in Moxys, and this was no different. Sants isn’t the ideal location to explore on foot, but the Tarragon Metro stop is a short walk away. The rooftop bar and pool are pleasant, with nice views, and the rooms typical for the brand.

We stayed one night in the triple room that includes a double bed with a sofa bed. The room was clean and spacious. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. We used the hotel parking garage which requires very explicit instructions to find. The hotel should really have a printed map available. We arrived in Barcelona hours before check-in and left our suitcases with the hotel. This was good fortune. Just a few hours after arriving in the city, our visit was ruined by a trip to Montjuic where our car was broken into and some things stolen. Our two days in Barcelona were spent at the police station and embassy. We were fortunate to have late check-out at the hotel. We were also happy the hotel is well located between the airport for our rental car exchange and the ferry port which was our whole reason for going to Barcelona.

We had a pleasant experience staying at Moxy Barcelona. It’s conveniently located by Plaza Espanya and the metro station. Our room was clean and spacious, with a balcony looking out at the Museum of National Art of Catalonia (MNAC). The staff was wonderful (shout-out to Mohammed and Honey). Daily breakfast had tons of options. We appreciated the free welcome drink, too. The lounge on the third floor was an awesome hangout spot, and the rooftop was fun. The hotel has a youthful, trendy vibe, but I saw couples and families there too, so it’s a good option for all types of travelers. I’d definitely consider staying here again!
