Hotel ATH CityPark Sant Just

Having stayed in a lot of 4 star hotels down the years, this hotel does not meet the expectations expected. On a positive the staff are very nice and breakfast was really good. There is unfortunately a lot of let downs concerning this hotel. Firstly the WiFi didn’t work anywhere our entire stay, the pool is extremely small and overcrowded. The housekeeping is to a very poor standard and it’s seems that reception always has long queues. The price paid was expensive and doesn’t really meet the standards of 4 star.

Nice reception people; large room; good breakfast, but boring for a longer stay; ugly pool towels; old elevator - only one in use which cause long waiting time; the ramp down to the underground parking is very narrow and steep — an adventure for those with Jeeps or SUVs; cleaning services ranging from mediocre to poor.

The location is best if you want to discover more then the city center! Super quiet area, a parc just across the street, several cafes, tapas bars, pizzeria, a Japanese restaurant, pastry shops and supermarkets. Great connection with the Hola Barcelona card, so you can use public transportation. The bed made me feel like a Queen! Super comfortable, complementary coffee and water every day. The only surprise was the size of the swimming pool, but that might me because I usually swim in an Olympic one. Great value for the money!

On arrival, our room wasn’t ready, which was disappointing, and we had to wait over two hours before it became available. Unfortunately, the reception staff did not appear particularly welcoming and rarely smiled, which didn’t create the best first impression. However, I would like to recognise the young lady with long brown hair who worked in the restaurant. She was exceptional—always friendly, helpful, and greeted us with a smile each morning at breakfast. She took the time to ask about our plans for the day and showed genuine interest in our stay. I didn’t catch her name, but she deserves recognition for the excellent service she provided. She is a real asset to your team. The hotel room and all public areas were clean and well maintained throughout our stay.
