    I am extremely disappointed with my experience with Lamaro Hotel in Barcelona. I accidentally made a duplicate reservation and contacted the hotel within 24 hours of noticing the error to request cancellation of one of the bookings. I made it very clear that I only needed one reservation—not two. Despite this, the hotel refused to cancel the duplicate booking and charged me for both reservations. There was no flexibility, no willingness to resolve the issue reasonably, and not even an offer of credit. This is especially frustrating because the duplicate reservation was clearly an honest mistake and addressed promptly. Before even arriving for my trip, I am already dealing with unnecessary stress and frustration. I will be filing a formal complaint, disputing the charge with my credit card company, and pursuing further action if necessary. I cannot recommend this hotel based on how they handled this situation.

    This was my second time staying at Lamaro. When we were heading back to Barcelona for the MWC conference, I was sure where I wanted to stay. The conference is a taxi ride from the Lamaro but the hotel desk was very efficient getting the taxis. The hotel is located smack in the middle of everything interesting, in Barri Gòtic to be specific. So many great things to see, experience, and eat are within a few minutes walk from the Lamaro. I found the hotel last year and had no reason to try to find somewhere else. The rooms are a good size, very clean, very comfortable. The hotel staff are attentive, friendly, and very professional. The daily breakfast spread has a terrific variety and you can order off a menu if you prefer.

    Just back from a three night stay at the beautiful hotel Lamaro. The staff were all fantastic from check in to leaving for our taxi to airport. It was my Mum's birthday trip & they had a cake left in room & even some balloons. Really nice touch. Bedroom was very roomy & spotlessly clean. We did request a high floor which we got but with an inner yard view so it did leave room quite dark. Thought the room was lacking a full lenght mirror. (Maybe yet to come) as there was plenty of space for it. Bathroom is divided by a glass sliding door with a walk in shower which was perfect. Towels were of a high quality too & hair dryer was of a good power. TV was spot on with all apps to log into to watch some late night movie. Room service was a little confusing. No menu was left in room but tv services had menus but only one was available. Something I think that needs to be clarified. Breakfast was self service with plenty of choice. The hot food selection was never really warm however, & maybe a little awkward to take out with lifting of lids & trying to place somewhere to take food out. Tea & coffee were also self service which I would have preferred to have been served more so that I do find they come with hotter water. Roof top bar was a busy spot but we did get a table on both evenings. Staff were always exceptional at their jobs. But weather was not on our side with cool wind making it impossible to sit for too long. Maybe some garden heaters could be added. The area outside is beautiful but I will say beware of the clowns unless you want to get stung & harassed. They approach people with baloons & smiles & after offering to take photo's for you they will demand payment. We watched many a tourist getting caught while we sat over our breakfast looking out over the street. There is plenty of little Tapas bars & bakery style shops around. There is even a Burger King left of hotel with a mini market for any room supplies just on same block to the right. We really enjoyed our stay, a few little niggles but I have no doubt this will all come as the hotel evolves with new residents giving their feed back. The staff make the Lamaro without a doubt & I would reccommend to anyone visting Barcelona. Enjoy & thank you for your hospitality x
