NH La Maquinista

Well out of the city centre which reflects the price. Next door to huge Westfield shopping centre. Depending on the purpose of your visit would be expensive and time consuming travelling around everyday. As Australians we are used to a kettle and tea/coffee facilities in the room but not here, not even a box of tissues. Room size was good and everything was clean. Shower in bathtub would be a trap for older people as quite slippery. Plenty of power outlets in room. Only 1 chair in the room so someone sits on the bed the whole time.

Its perfect location right next to the La Maquinista shopping center provides easy access to shops, restaurants, and entertainment. Plus, it is well connected to the city center – public transport and the metro are nearby, making it easy and quick to get to the heart of Barcelona. What impressed us the most? The professional and friendly staff, who provided excellent service from check-in to check-out. The breakfast was rich, varied, and full of fresh ingredients – a perfect start to a day in Barcelona. The rooms are modern, clean, and comfortable, making our stay absolutely hassle-free. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great balance of price, quality, and location. A brilliant place to stay! We wouldn’t consider anywhere else. Super friendly staff and lovely rooms. A particular thank you to Alfredo, Jordon and Joel who man the front desk . For the shopaholics amongst you the maqinista shopping centre next door is massive and fabulous, a must to visit. And great choice of bars and restaurants.

Excellent breakfast and such welcoming staff especially Alfredo and Jordi at reception. Their help and kindness made all the difference. We highly recommend this hotel since location is also within a quick walk to a metro stop.

Stayed for 8 nights. Basic room with all that was required as we only used the hotel as a base for going to the primavera festival. Rooms need updating but very clean and tidy. Plenty hot water every morning for showers. Good selection at breakfast. Lovely staff on reception, in the breakfast room and cleaning services. Only downfall was it is quite a distance away from both the main area of Barcelona and Parc Fòrum. Transport links are great during the day but between 2am and 5am not so good (time the festival Ended each night). Would stay again if only visiting Barcelona for sight seeing but not for going to the festival.
