Albir Playa Hotel & Spa

Just came back from our holiday in Spain. Chose this hotel because of the good location. Hotel itself is very good with good rooms, shower room, spacious balcony with a fantastic view to the pool and mountains, very nice pool and loungers. When we arrived at night after our flight the staff was not welcoming at all. The lady was sitting in a chair and did not turn even her head at us when we came in to a reception. She did not say any polite words like welcome to our hotel etc. The staff was not interested in guests at all. The same was on our departure date. We gave back our keys and the receptionist didn't say even thank you for your stay or have a good trip back home😵‍💫🤐 Reception staff need to teach good manners and how to welcome their guests in the hotel. The cleaners, bar staff and restaurant waiters were very friendly and did a great job instead of reception! Do not book this hotel if you want an entertainment. As a family we expected an entertainment through out the day and evening. But it's non existent! During the day you can play water football and you can get some noodles to swim with😵‍💫😂😂 On the evening the entertainer was switching YouTube videos with some movements to repeat that's it!!! Bare in mind that drinks alcoholic and non alcoholic even water are NOT included in your package. You have to pay for drinks separately during lunch and dinner. It was something new for us, never experienced that in any other hotels. The food when we came was pretty good with excellent breakfast and dinner. But at the end of our stay there was nothing to choose from what to eat even no meat or fish just pasta and sauces for dinner! This hotel is good for couples or adults only, but not for families with kids due to poor entertainment and poor food selection.

We stayed here recently and it was mainly for a wedding we had in Altea and it was the perfect location for after so we could enjoy our own holiday. Food was absolutely lovely, and it changed quite often I personally found. In terms of lunch, the pool bar for food was better that inside the hotel for lunch, just more options :) Rooms were spotless and cleaning staff were super efficient. So many restaurants around and the Albir strip is just a short 15 min walk to everything, bars, restaurants, shops etc. it was ideal having Lidl & Mercadona right beside us for stocking up waters and goodies. The only issue that we found was the lifts took ages but they fixed the 2nd one during our stay which did speed things up a lot. The beds were a little tough, I struggled the first few days with this but we managed. The staff were amazing and always so polite and helpful for anything we needed, be in taxis or assistance in anyway. Thank you all for a wonderful stay :)

Fantastic Stay – Exceptional Food and Service! We had a wonderful experience at this hotel. The food was absolutely excellent, with fantastic quality and variety at every meal. What truly made our stay special was the staff. They are incredibly hardworking, attentive, and always willing to help with a smile. On top of that, the complimentary bus service provided to take guests to the beach was fabulous—prompt, clean, and highly convenient. We would definitely recommend this hotel and look forward to returning!

It was our second visit and it’s a great hotel which is clean and well looked after with very nice rooms , we only had breakfast which was really good and one of the best buffets we’ve had in Spain , there is great restaurants right opposite the hotel so plenty of good dining , it’s a very mixed clientele with mainly Norwegian Spanish and English so it’s a very friendly and laid back place with no real entertainment but perfect for relaxing and using as a base to go down to the front of a evening , if you want the complete opposite of Benidorm this place and resort is for you ( the khatmandu Indian restaurant opposite really is top drawer )

Hotel good breakfast good pool can get busy go at 5 till 8 its much better been loads of times and I know its a family hotel but come on guys the ENTERTAINMENT is shocking there is adults in the hotel as well we need to be catered for as well we did the quiz at 10.30 just pictures didnt get the results so went to bed at 11 30 what a boring night that was .
