Just got back from 4 nights with my 20 year old daughter at Cap Negret. The hotel is stylishly decorated and modern as was our room , a twin premiere with a fabulous view! Very clean too. The check in I felt was rushed/ communication barrier as I hadn’t quite understood about the free shuttle bus nor were we given any info on the entertainment. We were given a leaflet to download the hotel app but it wasn’t very helpful. It was my birthday whilst we were there and we got a birthday chocolate mousse and sweets. We only booked breakfast but ate dinner in the hotel on the first night. There was plenty of choice but most food was only luke warm ( found this at breakfast too ) and a bit pricey at 25 euros each. ( there’s a lovely Italian opposite the hotel ) The service in the restaurant wasn’t always fast, empty plates not taken immediately and bowls etc not restocked often enough and queues at coffee machines as some were out of order. Bins were emptied in the restaurant but the bin bags left on the floor for a while rather than being taken away. Brilliant rule of not reserving sun beds which was actually adhered to! Entertainment starts very late at 10- 11.30 ish , we were glad we took earplugs! The sea was so clear and warm but getting in and out is so hard with the huge pebbles; beach shoes are a must. I had to exit the sea shuffling backwards on my bottom ! The free shuttle bus is excellent, you sign up to which time you want and then the driver asks you when you want to be picked up. Careful drivers and very polite. It takes around 15 minutes to walk from the seafront to the hotel. Altea old town/ church is beautiful. We had a nice meal in the Italian opposite the church. Also La Cena on the sea front is worth a visit; delicious fresh food! We booked a trip with Get your Guide to Guadelest and Fonts d’ Algar which we loved. This hotel would be excellent with a little more in the way of customer service.

Hi stayed in the deluxe ocean room on the 4th floor with view over pool and fab sea few the staff were excellent and friendly. The room itself was nicely laid out and clean large large bed was very comfortable, IMO shortage of space for putting stuff away and I think it cold have been better for that purpose only. IMO breakfast selection was good but not great quality the coffee so so and buffet hot area just ok , if u want had food go to the eg station and order direct nice area for sitting out just out side , Pool was beautiful and very well maintained great sun loungers facing sea just get up early!! Beach area this in my opinion could be improved, people with and physical issues can get to it , down steps , and also the sun chairs there looked chaotic and when u get in getting out on stony stones could be challenging for some , the sea itself is stunning.Access to old town the run an excellent free scuttle service starting at 10 - 2 and 5-10 , One last note the free collection from Alicante airport is a minibus/coach and it can be long and tiring as there are several drop offs in Benidorm enroute thanks Ann

The hotel room itself was good, the breakfast was of a high standard, and the facilities overall were very pleasant. Unfortunately, the overall impression was significantly dragged down by the hospitality. Right from check-in, it felt rigid with a bit too many rules and finger-pointing. However, what lowers the rating the most is that I had informed the hotel in advance that we were celebrating a 60th birthday. This was not acknowledged with a single word or gesture during our entire stay. To completely ignore such a note is, in my opinion, really poor for a four-star hotel, where you expect a completely different level of attentiveness and service. Here, you missed the chance to provide that little extra that makes people want to come back.
