Cap Negret Hotel

Just back from another great stay at this hotel…on arrival we were upgraded to a premier room with side sea view..I think as regular customers of this hotel that was the reason why..room was great, food was lovely and presented lovely and pool was clean and loads of sunbeds ..car was parked as usual in secure car park…

Second time here at this hotel. Currently on b & b lovely hotel nice room overlooki g pool. Great location shuttle bus great

Had a lovely 5 night stay here . All areas are immaculately clean and tidy , Pool area and seating areas are aesthetically pleasing . Bar prices at pool were really reasonable. Breakfast was a great choice . 10 minute walk to promenade with bars and restaurants, Tram station across the road down side track . Pebble beach so not walkable or suitable for sunbathing . My only negative were the staff could have been more friendly at the bar , and reception .

The hotel is absolutely fabulous. Clean, modern and in a great location. The pool and sea views are great, the staff are friendly and helpful. I always judge a hotel on the question would I go back or recommend it? Sadly as great as it is I wouldn’t do either. The breakfast lets it down, the hot food is only warm and the selection is limited. The bread was stale and the toaster took 5 passes to brown the bread. There was a queue for coffee in the morning as not all the machines were working. I know they are only little things, but it’s the little things that matter. If they sorted breakfast it would be 5*

The hotel has comfy spacious rooms and the pool is the highlight no sunbed wars at all although after a couple of days noticed the pool area not been cleaned quite dirty under sunbeds spillages etc. the setting for this hotel is stunning it’s the best point. Free shuttle to new and old town but be quick to put your name down as only 8 spaces. Bar Staff lovely they made the best sangria and reception staff very helpful. The downside for me is the food it’s very very basic and not of great quality we changed from evening meal to lunch (at a cost) and it was very poor.breakfast the best option so I wouldn’t do half board again only B&B and then I only enjoyed the continental side as the rest was poor and not very warm most days. At lunch time there wasn’t much demand so food been sat there for ages Luke warm and dry!! It’s not 4 star quality food and no tablecloths pet hate of mine. There’s nothing really nearby the hotel it’s the free shuttle a taxi or walk to town. If you are fit and healthy and love walking it’s great but not if you don’t or can’t walk far. There’s one restaurant over the road which was just ok. Another downside for me which might seem minor to others but major for me the old fashioned hair dryer in the bathroom that will damage and burn your hair - you could get a better one from housekeeping but they didn’t have many and you had to return it immediately after use …again is that a 4 star hotel I’m not sure!! Such a shame as I said the setting is stunning and rooms are comfortable I don’t think I’d return and I think we paid a lot more than it was worth.
