Hotel RH Gijón Gandia

Relaxing and enjoyable stay with lovely dinner, spa and breakfast included! Really happy we chose this hotel with friendly staff, great location, live entertainment in the evening and excellent food at both breakfast and dinner. We are looking forward to coming back!

Spent a week there with my husband and my young daughter. We paid for all three meals that does not include any drinks. The Spanish tables were served tap water in a jug. We were only offered bottled water for a fee. The wine is cheap and not very nice so don’t bother paying for it. The food is ok but the selection is very limited and if you are a vegetarian you could easily end up not eating much. Service was very average and they don’t speak English. In fact, they make it clear that they look at you as a walking wallet and have no time and respect for you. We got the smallest room in the hotel while it was rather empty. The view was to the next door neighbour’s bathroom window combined with the view of a dirty backstreet. The room was clean and the cleaner greeted us with a smile. That was nice. The pools are tiny and the “spa” means that you have a steam room. The gym is a joke and the hotel lounge seats are uncomfortable. The hotel entertainment is unbearable. The roof top bar is actually really nice and they play lovely live music and the view is spectacular. By the time you add up all costs, you are better off going 4star all inclusive somewhere else.

The hotel is in a very good location by the sea. Breakfast is plentiful and there are choices for all tastes. Rooms are clean and spacious. I must especially commend the receptionist Saiga for arranging our extended stay. Very friendly and always smiling. I recommend the hotel!

Extremely friendly staff (all staff members: reception (all of them very kind and friendly), restaurant (special thanks to Jesus!!), entertainment, cleanliness). Good value for money Perfect location (50 m to the beach!!) Quiet rooms with very nice view (room 607 has a huge terrace and sea view) Plenty assortments of dishes at the breakfast and dinner Very few vegetables at the breakfast (only one fresh tomato sauce). Would it be great to add also some salads, cucumbers; we truly missed them. We liked the salami assortments at the breakfast but missed the your traditional Spanish jamon in the morning. Fish could be less cooked as it was a bit dry for my taste. As you can see they are minor observations, simply added to improve services. If returning in the region for sure we will come back to stay at RH Gijon.

Went on a Spanish pensioners holiday, half price, full board, with wine and water with meal. Room 801 was excellent, large room, 2 queen sized beds, large sea view balcony and a double heart shaped bath. Plenty of nearby road parking and a few hundred metres from what, in my opinion, is one of the best beaches in Spain. Resturant food was geared to Spanish liking, but selection was large and had no problem finding finding food to eat. Wine was basic but drinkable. Entertainment was bingo and pase doble type music (but this was for predominantly Spanish clients). Large TV but no main english chanels. Staff in reception, resturant and room cleaning, where all excellent, most spoke good English and where very helpful. Enjoyed this holiday in the RH Gijon in Gandia.
