We stayed at Magic Robin Hood, Alfaz del Pi, from 28 September to 9 October 2026 for an 11-night family holiday, and unfortunately, our experience fell well below expectations. We travelled as a family with three young children, including our three-month-old baby, so we expected a clean, safe and well-maintained resort. Sadly, we encountered problems from the moment we arrived. **Arrival and accommodation** On arrival, I was given our wristbands but no lodge number or paperwork. When I received a call to say our lodge was ready and asked for the number, the call was abruptly ended. When I returned to reception, I was made to feel as though I was lying about not having received the information. This was an extremely unpleasant start to our holiday. The cleanliness of our lodge was unacceptable. There was a considerable amount of dust throughout, and food had been left underneath the children's bunk beds by previous occupants. It was clear that the accommodation had not been cleaned to the standard we expected. We also found numerous screws sticking out on our balcony, some of which damaged my daughter's clothing and presented a risk of injury. Sharp screw ends were protruding through the bathroom wall, and an outdoor electrical socket was left uncovered. We had to position outdoor furniture in front of the socket because our daughter was trying to put things inside it. We reported these issues, along with a broken outdoor light and a broken kettle. Despite having a three-month-old baby who required the kettle for feeding, we waited approximately 24 hours for a replacement. Maintenance attended to some of the problems, but not all the balcony screws were dealt with initially. I had to make repeated trips to reception, taking valuable time away from my family holiday to get hazards addressed. The wider resort also appeared to be in a state of disrepair. The mini-golf equipment was damaged, and my son fell over a deteriorating castle. Other lodges had visible damage and gaps underneath them, creating further potential hazards. I have photographs of several of these issues. **Pool, restaurant and resort cleanliness** The main swimming pool was dirty around the edges, with visible algae or moss. The sun loungers were extremely dirty, and the outdoor showers were filthy. Cat faeces were present around the resort, while drinking glasses were left on walls, in bushes and on the ground, resulting in broken glass in areas where children were walking. The buffet restaurant had a considerable number of flies, with seemingly inadequate measures to deter them. We also witnessed guests tasting food and condiments using serving utensils before returning them for other guests to use. Staff did not appear to remove or replace these utensils, raising serious concerns about food hygiene and cross-contamination. My mum also experienced an unpleasant confrontation when she requested a teaspoon so my daughter could eat her yoghurt. Rather than being helped politely, she was drawn into an argument with a member of staff in front of other guests. She felt so uncomfortable that she returned the spoon and walked away. **Staff attitude and customer service** A member of the bar team called Gina made us feel belittled and uncomfortable on more than one occasion because we brought our own plastic cups to use around the pools. We felt singled out, despite seeing other guests using their own cups without being challenged. Combined with our experience at reception, these interactions made us feel unwelcome and poorly treated as paying guests. **Noise and unpleasant smells** Our lodge was located beside a fenced bin area. Bins were emptied late at night, often between 11 pm and midnight, as well as early in the morning. The noise of glass smashing and rubbish being emptied into collection vehicles repeatedly disturbed our sleeping children. There was also a strong, rotten smell coming from the area, making it unpleasant to sit outside our lodge. Throughout the day, we also noticed a strong smell of cannabis coming from the staff-only area behind the fence. **Late check-out and departure day** When we checked in, I asked about a late check-out because our transport was not due until 7 pm. I understood that the charge was €10 per hour and was happy to pay, as we needed somewhere for our children to rest and get changed. I was initially told to return a couple of days before departure. On 7 October, reception instructed me to return on 8 October and assured me the request could be arranged. However, when I returned as instructed, the receptionist laughed at me and dismissed the request without providing a proper explanation. On departure day, we went to the shower block in the Nottingham area, only to find every door padlocked shut. This left us without the alternative facilities we had been advised to use. Even more frustratingly, when we walked past our former lodge, we saw cleaners arriving at approximately 3:35 pm, despite having requested to keep the accommodation only until 3 pm. **Overall verdict** This was supposed to be a relaxing family holiday, but instead we spent far too much time reporting problems, chasing repairs and dealing with disappointing customer service. The repeated safety hazards, inadequate cleaning, poor hygiene and disruption significantly affected our enjoyment of the resort. We paid for 11 nights expecting a safe, clean and comfortable environment for our family. Unfortunately, Magic Robin Hood fell well short of those expectations. I sincerely hope the resort's management takes these concerns seriously and makes the necessary improvements to maintenance, cleanliness, food hygiene and staff training. Families should be able to enjoy their holiday without worrying about exposed screws, uncovered electrical sockets, broken glass, dirty facilities or whether their accommodation has been properly cleaned. Sadly, based on our experience, I would hesitate to recommend Magic Robin Hood to other families until these issues are properly addressed.

This is our first family holiday abroad and we’ve had a lovely experience. The highlight of our holiday was seeing the micheal Jackson tribute act. Ivan was absolutely amazing and were actually going to see him in Benidorm tonight as he was so good. My daughter is a huge Micheal Jackson fan and she was super excited to see him and it made her holiday when he took her on stage ❤️

As for the cleanliness was brilliant and the food also. 👌 but where I stayed bed was very hard 😫 woke up full of aches 😫 2 days after being there the people who were next to me staying were very noisy kid at young age up til midnight shouting banging running everywhere late at night well as for the parents did not care about anyone around them. Even when we went down for meals coming back up to have a rest in chalet there were people shouting arguing outside of there chalet having arguments was dreadful not at all relaxing holiday sadly but as for the staff there they are very hard working always on the go shame People go there do not show respect to others on holiday there would never go again
