Mercure Benidorm

Can’t praise Miguel on the reception enough. I booked a twin room with the provider and we were allocated a double room. Having two 6”+ sons this was an issue. He very kindly managed to source them a twin room the following morning. Happy kids = happy mama 🙌 All the staff at this hotel are amazing

This hotel is very conveniently located a short walk from Old Town and Poniente Beach. Very clean inside and out and served by some great staff who are very approachable. Half board was great value with a great range of dishes at breakfast and dinner that were ever changing so you were always spoilt for choice. The room was spacious and well set out with a decent sized shower in the en suite. Good sized balcony with decent views out into town and down to the beach. Pool area was very well set out and there are options for those who want to lounge by the pool/bar and those who want a little more seclusion. Well established trees and plants provide a calm, relaxed vibe where you feel you are miles from anywhere. Have to mention the massage option that is available. Mariana is clearly an expert in this field and I can honestly say the therapeutic massage was 10/10 and was superbly effective. Well worth booking this during a stay.

Just had the perfect short break at the Mercure. Absolutely beautiful hotel. Super comfortable rooms, lush gardens and swimming pool area, fantastic location and most of all super friendly staff everywhere in the hotel. It was my husbands first time in Benidorm and a special surprise for his birthday and the hotel went out of their way to make it special. We will definitely return !

Absolutely fantastic stay, hotel is like an oasis 10min walk away from the beach and noise. The grounds are beautiful, really well kept and so peaceful. Staff are really friendly and our room was so clean. Pool bar is fantastic and the choice of drinks/cocktails and food was perfect. The only down side is due to the amount of trees there is a lot of shade so it’s a lottery if you pick one that has sun all day. But that would not stop me returning again in the future.

The location would have been ideal if not for the road works which involved piling machines and huge noise from 7am to 7pm. Obviously not anything the hotel was responsible for, except for letting their guests know prior to travel! We were hoping for a relaxing week, which was not what we got. Very disappointing. The staff were great overall, however, the main bar was primarily for guests in the dining room in the evening, which meant the service for guests not booked for ‘full board’ had poor service with long waits for drinks. Not acceptable. Our room was good, but I paid extra for an ‘XL room’ with a large terrace, which had no view of the pool, as advertised, & had unsightly pipes running in front of the balcony & was completely in the dark with dense trees directly in front of us. Would not advise anyone to pay the extra for these rooms. Finally, parts of the garden and outside areas were completely blocked off for a private wedding during our stay. Lovely as the occasion was, it was not ideal for us. Would not book a Mercure hotel in the future!
