SH Villa Gadea

We very much enjoyed our stay at SH Villa Gadea. We had two rooms both had fabulous sea views. We ate in the hotel 4 days out of the 8. Our children loved the buffet dinner. The other times we ate at a beautiful restaurant just outside the hotel by the beach or we went into the Old Town. There are usually some taxis outside the hotel but if there aren't any the hotel will call one for you. It is a short drive to the Old Town and it cost about €10. The breakfast and lunch buffets had plenty of choice and even though the hotel was full didn't feel overrun. We also had lunch at La Palapa restaurant a few times and it was very good. The price of food and drink at the hotel was reasonable in our opinion. The pool area is lovely. There were always beds available even though the hotel was full. One thing we loved about the hotel was how spotlessy clean all areas were.

This is my 6th or 7th time being here. I always come for my birthday. The staff are brilliant, the location is very tranquil, this time I feel compelled to write a review, the staff actually do not remember us as customers, probably as it is a transient role, however, this shows the management have something right. There is always a welcome dessert and a small bottle of fizz for me, which I enjoy. This trip, only 8 hours in, I have perfect views of the pool, the sea, Altea, the spa and the water feature. Very very happy SH. Thank you for making my birthday happy again. There has been a reverb too!

This hotel is outstanding in every aspect of your stay. From the reception staff to the cleaners and everyone in-between. Outstanding service. I took the garage option for my car as I had golf clubs and the concierge service was perfect parking and retrieving my car when needed. Cases took to room with a smile on their face. check in was quick and so polite everything you would hope for in a five star hotel. The room was beautiful with sea view and everything was so quiet. The hallways had a lovely smell and the lobby and lobby bar were stunning. You then go through to pool and garden and WOW. So clean and plenty of sun beds plus a swim up pool, fantastic and all the staff so happy. The Breakfast was lovely with plenty of options and the lady who took you to the seat had such a lovely manor so I didn't get her name. I will be returning in September and cant wait. I live in Spain but this is one of the most beautiful hotels I have stayed in. A credit to the manager and all the staff , well done.

Stayed for 8 nights with my son for a short holiday early May. Very familiar with the hotel and Altea town , been visiting this area and hotel for around 20 years . On arrival, no mention of the renovation works that were been carrying out , not a problem but this should have been mentioned beforehand. Easy check In by very welcoming reception, room was ready on arrival. Nice size room , but feel the rooms need updating. Coffee and tea facilities , but no espresso machine , just a kettle . No iron supplied in the room , this has to be requested. This should be standard in a five star hotel .Fresh bottle water was supplied some days in the room . Breakfast , wide variety of choices that would suit everyone’s needs . Did find that I had to keep asking for accoutrements on a couple of occasions. Did feel like I should not have to ask twice on two consecutive days for something I wanted and then to find the same empty bottle the next day ! On the day of my departure, we had an early ish pick up , normally not an issue for a coffee and a pastry etc , not this time . Never had that previously! Would say that as I have been coming here for twenty years , a welcome note and maybe a hello from the manager would be appropriate . My partner and me often stay in 5 star hotels .often revisiting them ,we always would receive a warm welcome back gift and even a note or hello for the management. Not at this hotel . All in all , would say we had a nice stay in a nice hotel . Not sure if I would revisit in the near future .

We booked a last minute treat for birthday celebrations and we arrived early, they kindly allowed an early check in as the room had been cleaned, I believe we also were upgraded but the hotel did not mention this. I say this as out Tom provided robes, slippers, wonderful amenities and a jacuzzi tub! This made it stay wonderful. We took time at the pool and beds were available, towels provided, and the drinks reasonable for a 5*hotel, we thoroughly our stay and to round things off the breakfast was plentiful and a great variety! Well done team SH Villa Gadea!
