SH Villa Gadea

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at SH Villa Gadea! The hotel is beautiful, located in a fantastic setting right by the Mediterranean Sea, with stunning views and a wonderfully relaxing atmosphere. The room was spacious, elegant, spotless, and very comfortable. The gardens, pools, and common areas are beautifully maintained and create the perfect environment for a relaxing holiday. The staff deserve a special mention — everyone was extremely friendly, helpful, and professional, always making us feel welcome and well taken care of. The food was also excellent, with plenty of variety and very good quality. We truly enjoyed every moment of our stay and would happily return. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a relaxing, comfortable, and memorable holiday on the Costa Blanca! A beautiful hotel and a fantastic experience from beginning to end. ❤️🌊☀️☀️☀️

Beautiful hotel with great, attentive staff. Loved the pools (3 outdoor, 1 indoor) and swim up bar. Plenty of sunbeds and access to the beach. Most rooms have a seaview and views of Altea in the distance. We stayed half board and would recommend as only a few places to eat within walking distance. The buffet style menu was varied and the food was of a very high quality, with a chef on hand for freshly cooked options. As stated the hotel is on outskirts of Altea so would need a car or taxi to get about, but with tennis courts, spa onsite and access to the beach with waterspouts available, you might find you don't wander too far. The rooms are well thought out, well serviced and with the facilities you would expect for 5 stars. We had a brilliant stay and would return and highly recommend.

My husband and I stayed 5 nights on B&B. Hotel is reasonably priced even in August and we had a spacious superior room with pool / sea view (1106), separate sofa and balcony (we had paid more for the view). Hotel has three pools next to each other - the middle one has deep water whereas the other two are shallow. Lots of families with kids as you'd expect in August. Pools were very clean and well maintained and one has a swim up bar. Sunbeds not v comfortable. Spa / thalasso area is great as were our massages. There's also an indoor pool with access to the outside pools. Buffet breakfast good. If you don't have kids with you, go early to avoid feeding time at the zoo! We had one evening meal there too on our night of arrival - perfectly nice but nothing special as buffets go. We also had a meal at the Asian on the first floor which was lovely. It's only open a few nights a week. The lunch food truck also good though salads would be nice addition to menu as it's largely sandwiches or fried food. Hotel has private garage underground for 12 euros a night. The reception staff were all v friendly and helpful so thanks to all of them. The reasons I'm only giving the hotel 4 not 5 rating are largely related to the room and chambermaid service. Each day we left the room by 9.30am latest with the 'make up room' sign in but most days the room still wasn't serviced until 2-2.30pm or later. Used glasses weren't taken or cleaned. The bathroom had a bathtub but the amenities were so high on the wall that you had to stand up to reach them and there was no conditioner (to be clear there was conditioner in the separate shower cubicle). The way the bath is positioned means that you stare straight at the plumbing / peeling paintwork under the sink. Location of hotel convenient for motorway and day trips and it's lovely to have the space but it would be a long walk to old town Altea (only about 10 mins in a taxi).

The refurnished rooms were amazing (some problems with the sink and the shower that were sorted during the stay). The staff were absolutely top notch, and facilites were actually quite convenient as I was traveling with a reduced mobility person and there were parking space on the door, ramps all over the place... Special point for BREAKFAST! it is just amazing, with egg's station and fresh fruit, protein (healthy and not that healthy). Bear in mind that the beach is a rocky one, so don't expect clean white sand...

We very much enjoyed our stay at SH Villa Gadea. We had two rooms both had fabulous sea views. We ate in the hotel 4 days out of the 8. Our children loved the buffet dinner. The other times we ate at a beautiful restaurant just outside the hotel by the beach or we went into the Old Town. There are usually some taxis outside the hotel but if there aren't any the hotel will call one for you. It is a short drive to the Old Town and it cost about €10. The breakfast and lunch buffets had plenty of choice and even though the hotel was full didn't feel overrun. We also had lunch at La Palapa restaurant a few times and it was very good. The price of food and drink at the hotel was reasonable in our opinion. The pool area is lovely. There were always beds available even though the hotel was full. One thing we loved about the hotel was how spotlessy clean all areas were.
