Ikos Andalusia

Úžasný týden V hotelu Ikos Andalusia jsme byli první týden v září 2024. Byla to naše třetí návštěva řetězce Ikos a opět jsme nabyli zklamáni. Ubytovali jsme se v Junior Suite Deluxe s výhledem na moře. Pokoj byl velmi prostorný, moderní, čistý, s obrovskou koupelnou a zařízeným balkonem. Nespresso káva a plně zásobený minibar doplňoval luxus. Restaurace uspokojí i nejnáročnějšího strávníka, nám nejvíce chutnalo v OUZO a Seasons pro deluxe hosty s úžasnou Eliškou. Návštěvu Provence jsme si nechali na poslední večer jako třešničku na dortu s profesionální Ninou. Velké plus dáváme za ručníky na lehátkách, množství lehátek u bazénů a u moře, protože se nikdy nestalo. že by nebylo volno. Obsluha u bazénu a u moře vás tak rozmazluje, že je musíte odmítat. Chtěli bychom vyzvednout velmi profesionální slečnu Katarinu z Deluxe Collection Team, která pozvedla služby na nejvyšší úroveň. Zařídila nám návštěvu restaurace Tikitaka v program „Dine Out“ , jedné z nejlepších místních restaurací. Pomohla nám cennými radami při návštěvě Gibraltaru, Estepony, při vyřizování pozdního odhlášení a při zvládání všech našich rozmarů. Nikdy jsme se necítili tak rozmazlováni. Služba byla bezkonkurenční, personál byl pozorný, rychlý a zdvořilý, nic nebylo příliš obtížné.

We holidayed here in May this year. This is our second time at an Ikos resort and it was amazing again. Our son has drug resistant epilepsy and is on a ketogenic diet to help with this . We were nervous travelling but had contacted the hotel in advance and were assured our son could be catered for. Despite these assurances we filled our suitcases with ketogenic diet friendly food just in case. We shouldn’t have bothered . On check in without having to ask we were met by Lenka, a member of the team who knew everything about us and our special little boy already . We shared recipes , keto ratios and amounts and the meals were prepared for us each day on rotation. It was so reassuring to know everything was being looked after . The personal service was incredible and it allowed us to properly relax and enjoy ourselves. Thank you to Lenka and the chefs who looked after our boy so well. We will be back but the next time we won’t be packing all the food!

Well Ikos Andalusia did not disappoint …from the second we arrived we felt like royalty …we were greeted by Bella , from Deluxe , and she made a superb impression on behalf of the brand and the hotel itself . This level of care and attention from Bella continued throughout our ten night stay and I have to say that we also had the pleasure of an incredible service from everyone we came into contact with . A special shout out too to fabulous, lovely Sara in reception, who was a delight to deal with and , like so many of the staff here, you really feel like you get to know on a personal basis . Everything here in the resort was spot on and of an incredibly high standard , from the landscaping, pools, layout and quality of restaurants , the rooms lovely and the beds super comfy ( great nights sleep ) Our favourite place to chill for an hour or two out of the sun was the main bar where we were totally spoilt and looked after by Stelios , what a lovely young man and very hard working . No sooner as we’d arrived on our favourite sofa he was there with our coffees . He seemed to always be there and he is also a credit to the hotel and Ikos brand . In the evenings we spent a bit of time in the lobby bar where Muhamid greeted us for our evening drink with warmth and , again, a level of personal service that made us feel very special and comfortable. Most of our pool time was spent around the scented pool where Gabriel was incredibly friendly and efficient , always with a lovely smile too and Victoria too we were lucky to deal with regularly Beach club restaurant was our spot for our first meal of the day and we had the pleasure of beautiful decor, a nice view and gorgeous food dished up by Maria and Alicia mostly …again great service . Sonia in the buffet was great , as were the managers in the Asian and the Italian restaurant …Manuel and Alejandro All in all a wonderful time and it’s only a shame that we can’t mention many more staff as they are all so good and take such pride in their work I have to add that the room service was great and the cleaners in the rooms and the public areas / toilets etc need a huge pat on the back ….unsung heroes Having been to a few Ikos resorts I can safely say that the standard of all of them is really high and what I like about Andalusia is that the pools and restaurants etc are all very close proximity , everything is so easy . My partner is recovering from major surgery so it was all ideal and extremely relaxing . If I had to mention a negative at all it would be the beach ( not the hotels fault !!!) it is very stony and rocky …water sports are fine but it’s not ideal for getting in for a swim Top marks Ikos …we will return !

We have been to most of the Ikos resorts but the Andalusia tops them all . Having visited many times we are still amazed at the high standards and consistency of their customer service. From the front of house reception staff who cannot do enough for you to the serving staff in all the restaurants. Also the pool servers Dora being one of many that attended to us were just excellent. Rooms cleaned perfectly each day. All the staff in the resort are just amazing. The food in all of the restaurants are cooked to Michelin star standard, and I am a real foodie. I feel I need to give a special credit to Vasia who went above and beyond to insure our stay was perfect. So professional in all our dealing with her. This lady deserves a huge acknowledgment. Also Bella, again exceptional customer service. Apart from being foodies we also enjoy a nice bottle of wine. Alicia the sommelier was always on hand advising and suggesting some lovely wines. Again this lady needs to be giving a huge acknowledgment. I am struggling to say or find any negatives as in my husband’s and my Opinion there are none. Well done to the whole Andalusia team fantastic job.

We have given Ikos three stars this time, mainly because there is no point going to Ikos Andalusia and expecting true five-star service unless you pay extra to go Deluxe. My husband and I have been Deluxe at Ikos Andalusia before and loved it; we came back this time non-Deluxe and found it a totally different experience. So much so that we complained whilst there, and they offered us a chance to have a day by the Deluxe pool and eating at the Deluxe restaurant — the difference between Deluxe and non-Deluxe was really shocking and confirmed what we thought. We have been to three different Ikos resorts a number of times, but for the first time are considering not returning. It's very expensive to go even non-Deluxe, and the glaring issues are: disparity of service at the restaurants, the main bar, and the non-Deluxe pools — basically very hit and miss depending on who's on shift, with really long wait times. Service at the pool is good before lunchtime but drops off a cliff after that. Drinks at the main bar and pools were also weak. Ikos boasts of premium alcohol and "300 wines," which I assume is how they justify the price — but we asked for a Grey Goose drink at the main bar and were clearly given something else. We also met another couple who asked for Taittinger and got a random fizzy rosé instead. They say yes and then bring you something cheap, hoping you won't notice — which isn't what you're paying for at Ikos. By the Deluxe pool, by contrast, the drinks are strong and they offer premium options with no prompting at all. We also asked for a wider wine selection at dinner and were told no, so the "300 wines" promise clearly doesn't extend to non-Deluxe guests. When we complained, the sommelier was brought out — so they do have access to better wines, they just won't offer them unless you push, which shouldn't be the case at such an expensive, luxury resort. Finally, the nicest tables and views at the restaurants are reserved for Deluxe guests — this even extended to the buffet restaurant, Flavours. We arrived at 6:30 as it opened and were the first people there. About ten tables looked directly over the pools and sea, but staff tried to seat us by the doors leading into the indoor section, where you could barely see anything. When I asked to sit at one of the tables further out, I was simply told they were reserved. We left Flavours at 7:30, and not a single person had sat at any of those tables — clearly they were being held in case a Deluxe guest turned up. On the positive side: the food was excellent throughout, and the room was nice, although some issues took a while to fix (a broken outdoor light, a broken door between rooms). The cleaning staff were lovely, and the pools were a good temperature. We met a lovely lady called Antonia who helped with our complaint and was amazing. On the flip side, our concierge Sara was not helpful, came across very sycophantic and "fake," and deliberately avoided us on a number of occasions — which felt odd and not genuinely friendly at all.
