La Zambra

The friendliest staff, great atmosphere and design, amazing service. Rooms were beautifully decorated, spacious and very comfortable with all the amenities needed for a delightful stay. Could not ask for a better stay!

This was our 4th visit to La Zambra and it was equally as good as previously experienced. The staff are so switched on to guests and their needs - we would particularly commend the excellent concierge (Jorge and his colleagues)/guest experience team (Berta and Zoe) as well as the very attentive host (Diego)/breakfast hostess (don't know her name, but excellent) and the serving staff in Palmito. The housekeeping team is brilliant - rooms are thoroughly cleaned. We stay in a Junior Suite which gives you daily access to the spa area such as the hammam and sauna, indoor pools etc. Breakfast is exceptional - fantastic variety and quality. Dinner in Palmito is also great - varied menu and wine list (serve champagne by the glass too). Pool service is also very attentive in terms of towels, drinks etc - attendants very friendly. If we had one downside, it is the presence of so many corporate groups and private events - this can impact other guests experience (particularly some of the behaviours of the large groups). This has not been a major issue for us thus far, but we do know it can change individual guests perceptions of a resort if areas are closed due to events or large groups gather by the pool drinking. It also had a significant impact on how busy breakfast was. Overall, a great resort and one we would recommend if you want 5 star service and accommodation.

If you want a super clean, 5 star experience where everything is super professional this is the place to go. The staff were top tier and I had no complaints.

We love ‚quiet luxury‘- relaxed and sophisticated but not ostentatious. We had a king size deluxe overlooking the golf course and the room was very comfortable and large and every day cleaned very well. Breakfast was fabulous and of very high quality. We loved that coffee, tea and omelettes were made to order and brought to the table. Service was of very high quality but not always consistent, especially when the restaurants were busier. We also loved the constant top up of water, tea and coffee in our room and appreciated the tray with sweets just before we left. Wouldn’t it be nice if the hotel made this a daily feature-maybe a couple of those gorgeous truffles . The Palmito restaurant provided good food albeit the portions were small We loved our stay and wouldn’t hesitate to come back. A car here is a must as the hotel is a long way from the hustle and bustle and there are no eating out options around the hotel ( walking distance).

Exceptional hotel just outside of Mijas . Beautiful settings, location, rooms, restaurants and wonderful pool areas . Lunch was delicious, cocktails went down a treat at the pool areas and lovely settings for dinner of your choice of restaurants . Staff were attentive and friendly throughout our stay .
