Occidental Puerto Banus

We tours various areas in Southern Spain for seven days. Malaga,Marbella, Mijas, Alambra, Ronda, Mala old town., Frigiliana then Gibraltar.

I've been to a lot of hotel gyms and I run a CrossFit Gym, this hotel gym was bigger than my own gym! I was pleasantly surprised how big the gym was! It was great and had almost everything we needed. Nice and clean too. The whole hotel was very clean. The staff were very kind and helpful. Especially the lady at the Breeze Pool Bar and Mariana at Reception was so kind and helpful. The location is perfect. Easy access to the Port, to the shops and all kinds of everything! Rooms were sound proof and air conditioned which helped. Beds were very comfy. Breakfast was nice, loved the fresh fruit and cooked omlettes. Coffee was decent too! Value was very good too for it's location! Would highly recommend!

It’s a decent hotel, but the staff weren’t the friendliest. There was no warmth or sincerity there. We were there on a golfing holiday, and are all well travelled, respectful and friendly, and were never drunk or rowdy, but we just got the impression that we weren’t welcome and that everything was a chore for the staff. The rooms are clean enough, and spacious, and the breakfast was very good indeed. Location is spot on too, and good restaurants and bars are minutes walk away.

We have stayed at this hotel many times over the years and since it has become part of the Occidental group it has improved 100%

Excellent hotel. I would definitely recommend this hotel and we will definitely look into booking in this hotel again in the future. It is in a brilliant location. All the staff are lovely. Breakfast is Lovely and on until 11 am, which is great. The pool bar is Lovely too serves really nice snacks and meals. Rooms are very big and excellent facilities, lovely big soft beds and a little mini kitchen area which is excellent! Plus an iron and ironing board in the room, which is great so you don’t have to hire one. you can hear the road from the rooms, however it didn’t bother us too much.
