Voramar Formentera

What a lovely friendly hotel. Fantastic location and very clean rooms. Sadly I will be leaving soon. Wish I could stay forever

I've been to Formentera many times and this was the first time I'd stayed at this hotel. We had a standard double room, which was quite small. Although the bed was just inside the room door, we didn't experience noise from the corridor as the room was away from the stairs and the lift. The bed (two singles pushed together to form a king size) was very comfortable. The bathroom was okay, although could be better-designed to allow for a larger shower. The shower cubicle was tiny, quadrant style - probably 80cm. The sink is on an angle so takes up a lot of room. The aircon was great and the storage was reasonable, although we had to put cases under the desk as we needed all the wardrobe space. We hardly used the balcony as it was just too hot outside. The aircon in the room worked well. Housekeeping was excellent with towels replaced daily if you wanted. We experienced an issue with ants in the room and had to move rooms as they were on the beds. We had the bed, breakfast and aperitif rate. Breakfast was good, with a cold selection which included charcuterie, cheese, tomatoes, etc bread and pastries, Greek yoghurt, fresh and dried fruits and nuts and seeds, but the hot items never changed from sausage, bacon and terrible scrambled egg which was overcooked and rubbery. The kitchen would make you a plain omelette if you wanted. Unfortunately the coffee from the machine was not a patch on the coffee from the bar! The homemade tapas items were good. The restaurant for breakfast and the bar area were well-staffed. The reception staff were very good and efficient. The pool area is quite small and it was pot luck whether there was no one by the pool or it was very busy. I waited once for a sunbed and that was a matter of a few minutes. I never used the gym as it was pretty basic with only a small selection of free weights. Pool towels were €3 a time. For Formentera, the price was reasonable. The location is excellent and the hotel has a relaxed, quiet atmosphere.

Another great week at the Voramar. A warm welcome , a lovely room and great breakfast sat in the beautiful gardens. Nice to sit outside with a nightcap after dinner too, people watching. This was our fifth visit to the hotel and hopefully we'll be back next year, if not before....

This hotel is much better than I though. The pictures don't do it justice. The location is great, the balcony and the room are great. The bathroom is rather small and old fashioned. The staff was outstanding. Pool is really nice and to wrap it all the location is perfect. Ah, and you even have a free and easy place to park your scooter.

As a family (party of 4) we booked this hotel for a 2-week stay in Formentera. Es Pujols is a nice place to stay, packed with nightlife, restaurants, a nice beach, commercial activity... The hotel is literally a minute away to the beach, at the heart of the village. The chosen room was a superior double room, with the living room area transformed into the kids room. The room featured nice ambience and furniture, 2 nice Philips TVs (not hacked, therefore allowing easy USB devices connection, extra points for that!), terrace, fridge, air conditioning, modern shower, wi-fi that works... My only complain /remark: since that big nice room is clearly divided into 2 areas, why no door in between? It's really hard for adults and kids to watch TVs at the same time (audios gets mixed), not to mention the total lack of privacy... Anyway, the staff is nice, the agreement wit the Pinatar Restaurant for menus is great, the pool is perfect and there is a parking available (make sure to book in advance, as there are limited spots). Overall quite satisfied.
