Hyde Ibiza

Nothing but daily issues from check in to check out. I paid to upgrade before check in and added breakfast and a dining pass to my booking. All was confirmed by email and upon check in I was charged for all the upgrades. Firstly, I was checked into the wrong room. I'd paid for a VIP Sea View room and was given a backstage general access room. I asked at reception to be moved to the correct rooms I'd paid for and was told that the room was unavailable. They still charged me for the higher grade room for the first night though, €89 euros more. I was told by the hotel manager that they would refund me the €89 and move me to the correct room the next day. I had to chase the manager the next day, for my room upgrade. I was put into the new room and all was fine. Still no refund as promised though. The first night I decided to eat in the hotel restaurant. I ordered a trio of tacos. They were served to me stone cold! Cold meat in all the tacos, not even slightly heated, it was disgusting! I complained about the food being freezing cold and inedible and was told "sorry, the chef is watching Spain play in the world cup" seriously!! You served food that could quite easily cause illness because of a football game. Next morning at breakfast... sorry madam your breakfast isn't included. Yes, it is. I paid in advance here is my confirmation. Everyday for 6 days I had the same response, every day I spoke to reception showing them my confirmation that I'd paid and nothing was ever updated on the system. Then the dining pass... I was told by concierge the restaurants I could use my dining pass in. I go to those restaurants with two of them telling me my dining pass wasn't acceptable and I had to pay for my food. Apparently, the only restaurant it could be used was Kauo, the hotel restaurant that served me freezing cold, inedible food. Upon check out I wanted to check my room charges due to all the hassle I'd had during my weeks stay. I was given a print out which has so many things I hadn't used added to it. I challenged the bill, was told I had indeed incurred all the charges mentioned. Again, iI insisted I hadn't. It turns out in the end they had given me someone else's room bill!! The lady next to me checking out was also querying her bill due to lots of charges and the same with her, they gave her someone else's room bill. Whilst the staff are friendly, they lack knowledge, communication and are very contradicting. Nobody seems to know how things work, and will just tell you what you want to hear whether that information is right or wrong. Despite being promised by two hotel managers that I would be refunded €89 for my first night's stay due to the wrong room, this was never actioned and I still haven't recieved the money. Overall, I found my stay stressful and annoying, it was plagued with problems and issues from the start that nobody could be bothered It's to deal with properly. Its somewhere I'd never stay or visit again. Such a shame as I love Ibiza.

We absolutely loved our stay at Hyde Ibiza. The hotel has an incredible atmosphere, a beautiful beachfront location, great food, and a team that genuinely makes you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. Every part of the experience felt relaxed, stylish, and effortlessly cool. A special mention to Sarah Main and her incredible live artwork. Watching her create beautiful pieces throughout our stay added something truly unique and memorable to the hotel. Her work perfectly captures the creative spirit of Hyde. We can’t wait to come back and would highly recommend Hyde Ibiza to anyone looking for a memorable Ibiza experience.

My partner and I stayed at Hyde Ibiza for 5 nights. There were a few very disappointing points. The air conditioning in our room was poor and leaked throughout our stay. The hotel is also advertised as having 4 pools, but one requires an additional fee of €175 and another is only available to certain guests, meaning there are really only 2 pools available for most people and gets very busy. This isn’t made clear on the website before booking. Room service was very expensive, and unfortunately the food wasn’t great, I was also charged more money on my invoice for having room service even though you are charged a room service fee on checkout when paying online. We were also surprised to discover at checkout that the hotel charges €4.40 per person simply to order a taxi through reception. This wasn’t explained to us at any point and was just deducted from our €150 deposit. Ordering a taxi is a very simple service, so charging guests for this feels unnecessary and disappointing. Another frustration was on our departure day. Many hotels offer a shower room for guests with later flights, but we weren’t told that this had to be booked in advance, so we were unable to freshen up before travelling home. Despite these issues, Hyde Ibiza is a beautiful, clean hotel with polite and friendly staff. The breakfast was lovely with a great variety of options each morning. The beach right next to the hotel is stunning, and the location is excellent with a local supermarket, restaurants and bars all within easy walking distance. Just be aware of a few extra charges and policies that aren’t made particularly clear, as they do feel a little cheeky. Wouldn't stay again, other hotels in the area that are just as nice.

Have just completed our lovely stay at Hyde - we are regular visitors to the island but our first time in Cala Llonga and staying at Hyde and I would 100% return! Really reasonable distance and taxi from the airport (approx €30) and The Hyde team couldn’t have done enough for us on arrival. Great rooms, breakfast and facilities. You can tell the hotel has had a refit - some bits still need some love but overall a lovely stay, our room was right by the lift and as everyone got ready for the evening it was ever so slightly loud with doors quite heavily banging but nothing too crazy. There are 4 pools, 2 are shared with the sister hotel next door, The Mondrian. One of the pools is open to guests with €170 min spend but the two at the actual Hyde hotel were great and the food/drinks to the sunbed were lush. You can also book a lounger on the beach for €30 but needs to be pre-booked as they go quickly. You’re also able to book a room for a refresh before you travel so you can have a shower etc, again make sure to do this in advance as the slots get booked out. Make the most of the ferry which stops on the beach - lots of lovely little trips to the hippy market, neighbouring beaches or formentera! Cala Llonga has a fair few restaurants and bars for a nice evening and a couple of supermarkets for refreshments - will be returning and thanks for having us!

This is a basic hotel near the beach. The room had AC that does not work properly. The pillow is basic, thin and uncomfortable and there is no other option available. There are no additional things in the bathroom such as toothbrush, razor etc that you might expect in a hotel. The VIP pool room looked on to the children’s pool which is covered. So no view of a pool. I’m Accor gold but there was no welcome or recognition, not even a “thank you for being a member”. No welcome drinks until I asked. No late checkout as the hotel was full which I don’t believe. Probably the worst Accor hotel I’ve stayed in. Also after check in when I arrived to my room, my keys didn’t work so I needed to go back to reception. The receptionist I spoke to said it is because I was not supposed to be staying in the room I was given keys to. Then the other receptionist said yes I was and then they had a discussion in Spanish about which room I was supposed to be in. I heard another guest saying someone else’s name was on her account. On the plus side the swimming pool has nice day beds. They cost 120 euros but you receive that in credit for food and drink. The hotel sat there is a maximum of two people per bed but it was not enforced and some beds had three people and one had five.
