Hyde Ibiza

My second visit to Hyde Ibiza with my partner, as we enjoyed last year so much…and we are already dreaming of a return next year! Perfect place for couples to relax!! The whole place has such a chilled vibe that makes relaxing so easy. The staff add to the experience…friendly, helpful and will do whatever they can to make sure you are having a good time. The food and cocktails are high quality, with Niko the sushi restaurant being our favourite…but all of them are very nice. Great pool area to chill during the day, and beautifully designed contemporary rooms that have a calm vibe to them. Another big plus is the beautiful beach just a stone’s throw away set in a gorgeous bay, where the hotel has its own allocated area. Overall - love the place and look forward to visiting again!

A return visit and I have to say they have really improved the experience. Now there is a designated beach area 1 minute away and by the way the beach is excellent. They have opened up a part shaded splash pool area with beds in which is great for relaxing. There are now trendy concession stalls with ice creams etc so feels like a top end resort. Service by the pool is great either by QR code or personal, the drinks and food are of a high quality and received promptly. All the usual top end facilities with large gym, kids club and spa facility. Breakfast extensive, no queues, very large area and a wide selection. Rooms very clean and modern with some amazing views of the bay. Overall really impressed, highly recommend and hopefully we will be back soon.

First time at The Hyde Ibiza and have visited Ibiza many times now. This hotel exceeded my expectations. Breakfast was so enjoyable with a huge choice. Dining on the terrace overlooking Cala Llonga - what a perfect start to the day. From there you can see the two ferry's come into the jetty at the hotel so no need for transport to Ibiza town to get the ferry! We went to Formentera and Santa Eulalia. Very convenient. The pools were well run. We took Bali beds and there are plenty of loungers at the multiple pools to choose from. Pool bar waiter service was quick as well as high quality food. In the background chilled music as you unwind and later a full DJ set. Perhaps the thing that caught my eye particularly was the cleanliness throughout. It was spotless! Vamos next year!!!

Just returned from a first stay at Hyde, which was amazing in so many ways. Firstly the all important air con was brilliant and well received. The range of restaurants across Hyde and Mondrian provides such variety. The breakfast in Hyde has something for everyone, with a chiled vibe and stunning views from the terrace, the pool service for food and drinks was fab, the beach restaurant Sonrojo is classy but chilled with amazing food, and Niko restaurant in the Mondrian provides another superb option for Japanese dining (again with stunning views across Cala Llonga). Sunbeds on the sandy beach are a great addition, and for a day trip, the ferry to Formentera leaves from right in front of the hotel! Everything and more in one place!

Nothing but daily issues from check in to check out. I paid to upgrade before check in and added breakfast and a dining pass to my booking. All was confirmed by email and upon check in I was charged for all the upgrades. Firstly, I was checked into the wrong room. I'd paid for a VIP Sea View room and was given a backstage general access room. I asked at reception to be moved to the correct rooms I'd paid for and was told that the room was unavailable. They still charged me for the higher grade room for the first night though, €89 euros more. I was told by the hotel manager that they would refund me the €89 and move me to the correct room the next day. I had to chase the manager the next day, for my room upgrade. I was put into the new room and all was fine. Still no refund as promised though. The first night I decided to eat in the hotel restaurant. I ordered a trio of tacos. They were served to me stone cold! Cold meat in all the tacos, not even slightly heated, it was disgusting! I complained about the food being freezing cold and inedible and was told "sorry, the chef is watching Spain play in the world cup" seriously!! You served food that could quite easily cause illness because of a football game. Next morning at breakfast... sorry madam your breakfast isn't included. Yes, it is. I paid in advance here is my confirmation. Everyday for 6 days I had the same response, every day I spoke to reception showing them my confirmation that I'd paid and nothing was ever updated on the system. Then the dining pass... I was told by concierge the restaurants I could use my dining pass in. I go to those restaurants with two of them telling me my dining pass wasn't acceptable and I had to pay for my food. Apparently, the only restaurant it could be used was Kauo, the hotel restaurant that served me freezing cold, inedible food. Upon check out I wanted to check my room charges due to all the hassle I'd had during my weeks stay. I was given a print out which has so many things I hadn't used added to it. I challenged the bill, was told I had indeed incurred all the charges mentioned. Again, iI insisted I hadn't. It turns out in the end they had given me someone else's room bill!! The lady next to me checking out was also querying her bill due to lots of charges and the same with her, they gave her someone else's room bill. Whilst the staff are friendly, they lack knowledge, communication and are very contradicting. Nobody seems to know how things work, and will just tell you what you want to hear whether that information is right or wrong. Despite being promised by two hotel managers that I would be refunded €89 for my first night's stay due to the wrong room, this was never actioned and I still haven't recieved the money. Overall, I found my stay stressful and annoying, it was plagued with problems and issues from the start that nobody could be bothered It's to deal with properly. Its somewhere I'd never stay or visit again. Such a shame as I love Ibiza.
