Nereida

With this hotel you are getting what you pay for. It is located in a quiet part of the Bay which we liked and is close to a bus stop and water taxi. The food was fine, even with one vegetarian in the family we always found options. July was busy so you did have to get up for a sunbed but it wasn’t too early. They need more umbrellas, this was the main problem, there were about 5 around the whole pool area. We found the reception staff to be friendly and very helpful, I noticed they got some bad reviews on here but treat people how you want to be treated and you’ll be fine. The rooms were big, we had a sea view room which I’d highly recommend, well worth the money. Overall a good, clean, friendly hotel and I would go back again.

Honestly, I have to say everything was great: the hotel, the people, the staff, the delicious food, the very friendly staff. I would definitely return. The location is excellent.

Room very dated and dirty with mould in the shower was so much better when I spent a couple of hours cleaning it ! We didn’t complain as we arrived the day when we received phone alerts for storm Alice The kitchenette was not really a kitchen with a double hob out of the ark we had crockery and two saucepans and two frying pans no utensils No kettle provided but you can hire one (we took a travel kettle) very strange!! The fridge was broken and had no door inserts and the bottom inside seal was disgustingly but again we cleaned it ! The light outside our room wasn’t working the whole 8 days and we had several bulbs /lights not working in the room The door into the bedroom was hanging off it’s hinges so we woke each other in the night using the bathroom Bed ok but could have done with a blanket as only a sheet and a throw that was thin Strangely the safe deposit boxes are in the reception not big enough to hold a laptop which was probably our most valuable asset cost €5 per day so not cheap!! The pool was freezing and very deep and the drain smell around the pool was bad Staff were friendly The only day we sat around the pool a group of young lads were swearing and diving in the pool the lifeguard did nothing a chap who was at the pool asked them to stop swearing and they calmed down for a little while There were only a couple of nearby restaurants open and Indian and cafe pirana both were great Breakfast was good although we only went twice (our choice) No parking for our hire car we had to park in a wasteland not close to the hotel The beach are was pretty nasty with the walkway into the sea very unstable We had a lovely view but had to pay more for a sea view and the neighbours (not sure if a hotel) were loud most nights Overall we enjoyed our time but very quiet with the clubs shut even the supermarket across the road shut on the first day we were there are didn’t reopen again Would we stay here again? No sorry

We had a lovely room overlooking the pool and the sea, beds were a tad firm, decent sized room, good shower and noisy air con, we found the ceiling fan worked better for us. Clean towels every day. We found all the staff to be very friendly. The pool area was lovely and it was great to watch the sun setting on an evening. I found the food to be well prepared and there was enough choice for me. We was half board plus and the wine and beer was very drinkable. The wine and beer from the bar were good and they made a lovely Baileys coffee. My only negative was that we found parts of San Antonio Bay to be derelict with lots of empty restaurant/bars which was such a shame. We would recommend a meal at Relish restaurant which is just off the Main Street. Great food.

Myself and a friend in our 50s stayed for 10 days at the Nereida and had an amazing time I have never stayed anywhere where all the staff are so lovely Big shout out to Claire, Damien, Damien's Mum and Tin who worked in the pool bar, they could not be more friendly if they tried The pool was a good size, plenty of sunbeds, if you like the sun all day, sit at the very top by the stage There was a singer, a saxophonist/dj and a dance group on throughout the week, all brilliant The rooms are fine, cleaned daily with clean towels, we paid a bit extra for a sea view and wow, was it worth it absolutely, sunsets are stunning though you can sit in the chill area and see the same The food was fine, lots of choice but like every AI it could be hotter although there is a microwave People must remember that meals are served over a 3 hour period so it can't all be red hot all of the time. Restaurant staff were all so lovely too Restaurants and bars 10 minute walk away leave hotel, turn right, walk to the crossroads, turn left and follow the road along. Highly recommend Relish Restaurant, amazing food. Kumharas beautiful ambience, Ibiza vibes. Lots of people went to San Antonio Town, hippy markets near Es cana via bus and water taxi we planned to but never made it San antonio bay is €10 in a taxi All in all, a fab time was had, a mix of ages, a bit far from the town if going clubbing every night but taxis are available I would definitely return Thanks Nereida
