This was our first family holiday with our 3 year old son and we absolutely loved this hotel. I will breakdown as much as I can Pool: The pool area is beautiful and well kept. The only issue we had was it was freezing cold! Had the pool been heated, it would have been perfect. There’s plenty of sun loungers and a bar in the middle. It’s a lagoon style pool so looks so pretty, especially when it’s lit up at night. We didn’t use the adult only pool but it looked to be relaxing and great for anyone wanting a quieter time. The retreat: Amazing!!! I’d say this is great for kids up to the age of around 7-8, but any older children may struggle as the splash park doesn’t have any bigger slides. For us it was perfect though. Again, the only issue being it was freezing cold! But the bar and snacks here were fantastic and it was just a perfect day as you feel like you’re heading out for the day but you don’t pay for a thing. There’s also sports courts and a decent sized playground here. I wish we got to spend more time here as my son had a great day. Bars: We didn’t use T-beach as the beach was inaccessible for most of our stay. (I will explain properly later on in the review). We did however use the pool bar and the sunset bar. We found the quality of drinks to be quite good and a lot of international and branded drinks were available which was great. The bar staff were always very friendly too. The sunset bar was the highlight of this hotel for me. It’s aptly named as the sunsets here are unmatched. If you stay here, make sure you head up to the sunset bar and catch a sunset or two. They’re honestly stunning! Food: The buffet was decent, always something to satisfy even the fussier eaters. It could get a bit samey but I tried to have a different meal each night and didn’t really struggle with that. They did also do some theme nights too and there was always freshly cooked pasta on offer, prepared in front of you. Lunch was pretty much the same every day but this didn’t matter too much, especially if you fill up at breakfast. You could also get sandwiches, wraps and ice creams from the pool bars which were lovely. Breakfast was the same every day but it was all lovely. The only consistent issue we had was it was quite cold most days, no matter what time we went. The Italian restaurant was incredible! Honestly amazing! The best food we had all week and the service was great too. Grounds: STUNNING!! This hotel is so aesthetically pleasing, it’s just beautiful. It’s very well kept and the lighting at night just really makes it. There are areas that are a bit steep though as it’s built on a hill so elderly people or people with mobility issues may struggle here. By the end of the final day my son was struggling a little bit but it wouldn’t put us off returning. Cleanliness: Perfect, no complaints what so ever. The house keeping team worked so hard. The whole hotel was spotless, even the toilets by the pool were constantly being cleaned. Staff: Very friendly and approachable, no complaints at all. The house keeping team especially went out their way to greet everyone as they walked past. The bar staff were great too and the reception team were always approachable. Location: Beautiful area but no a great deal around. There’s a couple of restaurants around a 10-15 minute walk away and there’s a couple on the beach that other guests said were great, but we didn’t try any of those. There’s a shop right by the retreat too call the serenis, which was great. This had mainly souvenirs and gifts. You can get a bus outside the retreat that takes you in to San Antonio but be prepared to take change, it says on the bus website that you could pay on card but the driver refused this, the price was also significantly higher to what was advertised online. It was only around 20-30 minutes from the airport though and as this is quite a popular choice, the majority of the transfer coach was for this hotel only so it was a very quick and easy transfer. Entertainment: There a kids disco most nights but this started at 8pm. Considering most of the children here were under the age of 5, this seemed very late and we didn’t get to experience much of the entertainment because of this. I believe there was usually a show from 9pm but I can’t really comment on the quality of them as we didn’t see them. Other guests did say they were slightly disappointed with the quality of entertainment though. Now for the drama of the beach being inaccessible. So this isn’t the hotels fault at all but I do feel they could have put provisions in place to prevent less inconvenience to guests. On the third night of our stay, there was a storm that caused damage to the beach and the retreat. However, the hotel knew about this and did nothing to prepare. The retreat was then closed for the rest of our stay as they needed to filter the water. Had they have prepared in advance, they could have easily covered the retreat over completely to avoid this. It’s such a shame as this is the main reason we booked this hotel and was the best part for us. We only got to use it once. With the retreat and beach being closed, the family pool was then massively overcrowded. The hotel didn’t offer to open the adults pool up to families, (which at the time was pretty empty). It was a real struggle to get sun loungers and it just felt so busy. The beach was very badly damaged and it meant no one could access it for a couple of days. When you then could access it again, there was diggers doing works right next to sunbathers which was very dangerous. This meant we only stayed a very short time and then left. I don’t think the beach belongs to the hotel but it did affect our overall experience here. Overall, this is classed as a 4 star hotel and honestly I think that’s fair. However, there’s a few little tweaks that could easily turn this into a 5 star: An extra bar - all the bars that are open at night time are down one end of the hotel. The hotel is pretty big so if you’re staying at the other end like we were, there isn’t much there at all and it’s quite a long walk to the bars and entertainment area. There is a water and juice machine in the lobby, if they just added a small bar here, it would make a huge difference. An extra food area included in the AI - much like the bars, all the food options (except the Italian restaurant that you can use once) are down one end. There is quite a long walk from the family pool to the restaurant for lunch. If they added even a small food truck up the other end of the hotel I think this would help massively. An extra a-la-Carte restaurant would be great too. You have T-beach and the Sunset bar but they’re sooo expensive! One of them serves Tapas but it was 45 euros each, if that was included it would make such a difference. More facilities for children inside the main hotel grounds - I think this hotel is mainly for families with young children but with that being said, there isn’t much for children outside of the retreat. There’s a small kids club but there isn’t anything else. That meant when the retreat closed at 6, there was nothing at all. It would be good to have a playground inside the main hotel grounds, or maybe a soft play. As the retreat was closed for the majority of our stay, it was difficult to find things that were age appropriate for our son. The shop - make it bigger! It’s tiny and there isn’t a lot to choose from. I know it’s an all inclusive resort so you don’t need to buy much, but there wasn’t many snacks you could buy and take back to your room. I wanted a Fanta lemon and some lays on the balcony! Overall, I really loved this hotel. Yes we had the issue of the retreat being closed and a couple of minor issues, but would I let that put me off coming back? Absolutely not! We got an absolute bargain for this holiday and I'm on the lookout for another cheap break so we can come back ASAP. I would recommend this to anyone with younger children who still want a beautiful hotel that holds itself to a high standard. I think it would be great for couples too. Honestly, I can’t wait to return here one day.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Perfect Getaway for Families and Relaxation We had the most wonderful stay at Insotel Cala Tarida Beach Resort & Spa! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed by warm, friendly, and attentive staff who went above and beyond to make our holiday special. The resort itself is beautifully maintained, with lush grounds that are perfect for both relaxation and play. There was so much to do for both adults and kids – from fun activities and entertainment to peaceful spots for unwinding. The beach is absolutely stunning, just a short stroll away, with crystal-clear waters and breathtaking views. The food and drinks were fantastic – plenty of variety, fresh options, and something to suit every taste. Whether we were enjoying a poolside cocktail or a delicious meal at one of the restaurants, everything was top-notch. This resort truly offers the perfect balance of relaxation and fun. We left feeling refreshed and already dreaming of our next visit. Highly recommended for families, couples, or anyone looking to enjoy the best of Ibiza in a welcoming and beautiful setting.

Lovely hotel, great welcome was told rooms would be ready from 3pm, got our keys around midday, food in the restaurant had good choice for the week that we had there even as a vegi, Good size pool but chilly in October but kids loved it. Snacks at the pool side bar could be improved hard to tell what drinks they offer, as never saw menu until you ask. Adult pool never seemed to be busy. The retreat side few minutes walk not bad more for younger kids. Hire a car from the hotel great service and price and go and see Ibiza. Lovely beach behind the hotel amazing sunsets. If you like the pools, get the swim up rooms (wish we had done so) overall great value for money.
