We loved every minute at this hotel , the rooms were clean & spacious with a good sized balcony. There was a good variety of food to choose from each mealtime in the main restaurant, & at the restaurant up at the Retreat. The Italian Restaurant has to be booked in advance, but was 1st class both the food & the service. We especially loved the adults only pool area/bar & Restaurant area. The beach is literally on the doorstep & we walked down a couple of mornings for a dip in the sea, before relaxing back by the pool after lunch in the afternoon. The entertainment was really good from what we saw, as we spent a lot of our evenings chilling in the Sunset bar . The sunsets are spectacular! There really is something for everyone here, you won't be disappointed, we will definitely return.

Ok so People saying ‘why the negative reviews’ are clearly people who’ve never been outside of Spanish islands. If you’ve experienced a 5* Turkish, Greek or UAE hotel, there is night and day difference. Food: very poor selection, the whole restaurant wouldn’t cover 1/4 of a proper 5* room. They served the same food for lunch, dinner and lunch the following day (chewy steak and seasoned chicken off the hot plate) there is a selection of course, but it’s really 3* quality. They do a kids section but it’s deep fried and not even things like nuggets or fried chicken etc a kid eats, it’s the same meat from the adult grill - not bad but not good. Breakfast uses bacon that’s all formed processed meat not real bacon meat, rest is rank. Bread was only thing that was nice here. I’m gluten free and it was not too bad for me, arguably better than for my family eating normally! Italian is the only thing to say is good, but it’s fully booked every day and you can only go once. Rooms; I stayed in a swim up (premium room) it was very dated, showers very low quality with low quality body wash/shampoo, the TV is a 32” non smart grundig from 2015 and outdoor chair/sun loungers were broken/poor quality. The swim up pool is probably 8mx4m in funny Tetris shapes, but you have to share this with FOUR other rooms. Two families with floaties and the pools full and you can’t read on the deck as you’ll be splashed to dead. The rooms are 3/4 tier rooms so noisy guests moving around is standard here. Air conditioning on the whole hotel is set to have a supply temperature no lower than 20 degrees, so in very hot days it takes a looooong time to cool the room and it’s never quite got that lovely cold edge. Again if you never have air con it’ll be ‘fine’ but I have air con in England for summer so this was barely acceptable for me. Pools: Theres way too few sun beds for the people, the main pools are very very small with no inflatables allowed, rammed and often overbooked with the early towel rushers. The slides at the retreat are for very young children not 8+. Very small and boring for older kids. This is also a 5-8 minute walk uphill out of the resort. The whole hotel is on hillside so lots of cardio to get about haha. Very steep so wouldn’t recommend for elderly family. The WiFi is SHOCKING the whole part of the island is pretty poor on a telecommunications perspective but a 5* hotel should not have WiFi that’s barely useable for kids iPad and switches etc. The beach.. it’s lovely, but not owned by the hotel so you have people trying to charge £140 euros for 2 premium beds or 65 euros for cheap ones. There’s lots of fake vendors walking the beach trying to force you to buy clothes and bags and sunglasses etc. Hotel was generally clean, but I’d rate this as a 3* resort and that’s being fair for the good bits. The staff are a bit dense and unhelpful, there’s very little rule enforcement for kids breaking rules and the wasps in the resort were so bad yet there was absolutely no attempt to trap them with bait bags like you see at theme parks etc. can’t get clean towels until 10am. Drinks are ok quality and branded which is nice and is the only non-3* thing found but some alcoholic ones are chargeable. The site shop is pretty pathetic too, very little products on sale. Genuinely, the money it costs is way over what it’s worth - spend your money and go further afield, this hotel is a rip off :)
