Alua Gran Camp de Mar

I had a great solo break at the Alua Gran Camp de Mar. The hotel was really clean and well maintained, and the staff were really friendly. Food was a good quality and variety, as well as good drinks options on the all inclusive. The pool is a little tightly packed with sunbeds, but I spent my time on the beach front loungers which was really relaxing. I was travelling alone and felt very safe in Camp de Mar - I would definitely be back for a solo trip again here.

Excellent stay! Myself and partner stayed here for a week. Beautiful views and on the seafront couldn’t have asked for better. The room was spotless every day. The hotel lobby was really nice and smelt amazing! You will know if you’ve been. The restaurant staff worked tirelessly (Abdu - always smiling and working hard) wide range of foods (meat/fish/salads/pasta/pizza) including themed nights. The fitness staff (rep) were excellent. Super friendly, so much energy and really funny. Very inclusive and ran many activities throughout the day. People mention that they find the drinks token system annoying but we didn’t find this at all. It’s just a way of returning your glasses so they aren’t everywhere making a mess. I think it’s a good idea. The beach nearby was beautiful, great with snorkels as there’s fish in there. We hired a jet ski too which was great. Used Ralph also for a trike tour ( can be booked through TUI app) would definitely recommend and would go back. Thanks for a great stay

Fantastic overall experience, the staff are lovely and check in was a really pleasant experience despite arriving at 1.30am. we were welcomed with a glass of champagne and food kept back for us so we could have some dinner (basic food but a nice touch) The overall dining experience was fantastic, the variety and quality of food was above expectations. The seating outside is fantastic, there are so many places to sit/relax you'll never be without somewhere

SUMMARY A nice clean hotel on the beachfront, all inclusive drink variety was good, weird drink token system, meals were a bit all over the place, drinks in restaurant limited and again very unpredictable, nice gym, nice spa, pool was refreshing, jacuzzis were very nice, adults only area was quiet and relaxing, views from balcony were stunning. I would not be back to this hotel, I feel that €290/night should get you a luxurious stay, good food/drink and good service. The room size was also quite tight. POSITIVES I drink Bacardi and they were serving that as part of all inclusive, in the past I've had a local rum instead. My wife drinks Aperol Spritz, they had a nice alternative which she enjoyed. We found something in the restaurant each meal. They had a shower room so we could enjoy our last day. Late check out is very reasonable, €10 per hour. Entertainment was good and kept us entertained. RESTAURANT The meals didn't have any themes, e.g. there was peppercorn sauce every night, then one night out of 7 there wasn't any. One night was suhsi, but not other japenese food like katsu curry etc. The cheeses changed every day but usually the signs were mixed up or it simply said special cheese. There were quite often fried food with a sign saying assorted fried food. Pasta was served breakfast, lunch and dinner every night. Some nights there was an amazing BBQ sauce, 2 nights of 7 it just wasn't there. Usually on holiday there is something each meal we look forward to, but it was just so unpredictable and hard to put together the kind of things you'd eat in a restaurant, e.g. starter, main, dessert, that we would end up with random bits on our plate. The fruit juice in the restaurant was undiluted for the first two days we were there, it was horrible, then day 3 it switched up to being like water and day 4 to 7 it was really good. Sometimes at the pool bar there would be pizza, sometimes there wouldn't. BAR The drinks were hit and miss, whilst the selection was good, sometimes it would be far too strong, other times the soft drink would be flat, warm, there is often a long queue to get a drink at the bar, you can be waiting about 10 minutes to get a drink during the day and the same at night although night is better. One day it was windy around 3pm so they shut the bar at the adults area and despite sun coming out again by 4pm with no wind, they kept it closed for the rest of the day. In All Inclusive you have already paid for what is there, so they should be striving to keep things open if they can etc. If they have to close it for safety then it should reopen when it is safe and the excuse it closes at 6pm anyway is just so lazy. SERVICE There isn't really any service in the hotel, you are responsible for taking your glasses up and down and getting drinks, you must take your glass back if you want another drink, at the end of the night you queue for a token to use for a new glass tomorrow, you get your own food, sometimes I had to get my own cutlery because there was non on the table, I had to clear my plate at lunch time. It was surreal. OTHERS You need to pay fo AREA If you exit the hotel to the left there a nice small area for entering the sea. DO NOT use the supermarket to the left outside the hotel, he charges 1.5x prices to the supermarket in the row of shops on the beach across from the hotel. On the same row of shops if you keep going along the beach and follow the building to the left and left again (the back) you'll get lovely iced coffee and pastries/baguettes. There is an easy road walking route to Peguera, about 1 hour/5km, Andratx road route was very dangerous, there is not pavement/sidewalk so you are on the a 70km/hr road with sharp bends, we took 90 minutes to walk 4km because we kept having to hop the barrier and hang of to avoid slipping down in to the trees.

Location - beautiful place with amazing views. Room - very small ( superior double). Cleanliness - very clean. Noise kevel - very quiet. Service - very good. Food - good selection - everybody can find something they like ( some were horrible some very good). Coctails can be hit or miss - depends who makes it ( from too sweet to to sour)
