Alua Gran Camp de Mar

The hotel was lovely, it was clean and tidy and a nice hotel. However the food choices were not great for an all inclusive, whilst the food was nice the options were minimal. You also get drink tokens (2 per person) on arrival which you pay a deposit for and have to take them back to bar each time you want a drink. Whilst I love this idea for the hotel staff as they shouldn’t have to run around after you - if you took your cup to restaurant they would take your cup - made it harder to just get on and do the things you wanted too. It was a lovely hotel though in a lovely area. Also there were alot of ants.

We arrived at the hotel early hours about 2 in morning.we were sorted out in minutes.Room on the fourth floor overlooking the Adults area and the sea which pleased us both,bit upset to to discover the hotel was no smoking but I managed for the 11 nights.Breakfast was good at first but gets boring after time,dinner was good and you had a choice of the snack bar serving burgers pizzas chips and salad plus cake. The bar was always busy,they have a token system which works well for the hotel with no one having to collecting cups all day that blow around the pool area.I didn't mind I had taken my own plastic pint glass which they filled happily for me. The fit team were working hard to keep you involved if you wanted to get involved.Gerry was good fun all day. Evening meals were hit and miss roast meats but no veg to pick from but they did sprouts for breakfast.always something to eat but sometimes not what you want. Lovely hotel Lovely area bit quiet suited us,would I go back yes and would recommend to family and friends

We recently stayed at Alua Gran Camp de Mar and, unfortunately, it didn’t live up to its 4-star rating. In our opinion, it’s much closer to a 3-star hotel. The biggest disappointment was the food. The buffet was poor, with very little variety, and it was almost exactly the same every day. There wasn’t enough choice to put together a decent meal, and by the end of the holiday we were eating out instead. The all-inclusive drinks system was frustrating too. You have to use tokens to get drinks, and there simply aren’t enough staff behind the bars, meaning long queues throughout the day. I also have to agree with another recent review mentioning a strange man seen watching children around the hotel. What made this even more concerning is that there appears to be no security at all – anyone can simply walk into the hotel grounds, which didn’t make us feel particularly safe. Another issue was the sunbeds. If you weren’t out by 8:30–9:00am, you had virtually no chance of getting one as they were all taken. There are some positives. The location is lovely, with a beautiful beach just a short walk away. The rooms were clean enough, and the beds were comfortable, so we slept well. Overall, the location is the hotel’s biggest selling point, but the food, poor bar service, lack of security, and sunbed situation mean we wouldn’t return.

Had a fantastic stay last week, overall the hotel was superb and spotless. The staff were all amazing and worked so hard. They need more staff behind the bars as the staff were run off their feet as it is a big hotel. The food was of good standard, plenty of chice. Ttypical buffet food, sometimes a bit cool, but there was a good choice and cooked steak/chicken/ pork to order. I loved it! :-) . Mika who works in the sunbed/towel hut was such an amazing member of staff. She is such a good people person and is without a doubt a credit to the hotel Our room 540 was superb and the maid kept our room spotless. Plenty of room for us, buy they need to put bedside table/draws next to each bed. The A/C was not cold enough, but it was 35 most days. The room fridge was great and really cold for our water etc. Bathroom was fab and had plenty hotel shampoo/shower gell which smelled really nice. Sunbed area by the sea was amazing and we went there everyday as it was quiet. Sunbeds were great quallity, but if you want one by the beach area, you need to be there for 9am SHARP! All in all, my wife and I had a fab holiday. Thank you to all the staff, they were amazing! 10/10!
