Alua Gran Camp de Mar

Location is brilliant right on the beach. Very scenic. Rooms are very small but very clean we upgraded to my favourite club. On arrival we were allocated a side view on pointing out that we had upgraded reception who were all very friendly changed it to front view. The token system for drinks is brilliant it is one of the reasons the pool area is immaculate and there are no bins overflowing with plastic cups. This also means no flys or wasps invading your space. The favourite club lounge was very nice and my daughter could take a break from the sun and have drinks and snacks on tap. The separate dinning area for my favourite club guests is nice and quiet despite a large group of very loud overbearing Americans staying at the hotel. After two days I thought we had found the perfect hotel. That was until you try to find any form of food that is not repeated day after day. You get chicken fillet every night with pork most days. We did have beef one night which became beef stew the night after. The themed nights are woeful the chilli on Mexican night was pure slop and had lots of sweetcorn in it. The fajitas were overcooked dry chicken they had run out of nachos no tacos were on offer. Show cooking consisted of a chef mixing sauce and spaghetti in a pan. The pasta on the buffet was so overcooked it was ridiculous. Lots of effort goes into small bowls of salad but in general the main body of the evening buffet is very very poor. Daytime snack bar is the usual fayre of burgers chips and pizza a few sandwiches which are awful. I would only return to this hotel because of its setting if it was cheap enough for me to eat out at least five nights from seven. We are seasoned travellers spending 5 weeks per year across Spain including Ibiza, Majorca and mainland so I have lots to compare this hotel too. In all great hotel but needs to have a serious re think on its evening food it is absolutely dire. Lots of chefs walking around the restaurant in hats about 2feet tall. “All the gear and no idea” sprang to mind.

Perfect beach location in a beautiful resort. 4th time here and still just as wonderful. Hotel fantastic.. all staff in dining room and bar areas always friendly despite the heatwave they all still have a smile on their faces. Entertainment crew were great and very friendly and personable and had a lot of time to chat with guests despite so many people. Entertainment programme was great during the day with the saxophone player and the guitarist/singer brilliant additions. Rooms and hotel are very clean and comfortable Overall lovely holiday and hope to return next year. Holiday blues have set in..😪

Another great holiday here. A special thank you to Peter, Gerry and Cesar from the entertainment team who have excelled since starting in April. Richard from the Bar, Alexa the customer manager and the lovely lady Alkir....(unfortunately cant remember her full name) from the restaurant. Cant give this place enough praise, location is excellent, dining experience is reasonable, food is fresh, rooms clean and modern with great views and the staff are very friendly and all work very hard. All being well we'll be back again.

Lovely hotel in a great location. Great pool with lots of loungers available. Relaxed, friendly atmosphere. Clean, spacious feel to the rooms. Great for families. Felt very safe, my teenage boys were able to have the freedom to wander around and enjoy the activities like table tennis, darts, and the games arcade. Would definitely stay again!

My husband and myself stay here for 2 weeks and what an amazing 2 weeks it was! All the staff have been very kind and helpful, food is to a high standard and atmosphere is top tier. We spent everyday on the terrace and been taken care of by the amazing and beautiful vanesa❤️ keep us laughing and positive all the time. Definitely will be returning
