Alua Linda Mallorca

Just back from a weeks stay at this hotel, and looking back at all the trip advisor reviews I think the discerning customer could take probably 90% of these reviews as truly authentic.We would have diserned so also . The hotel renovation is beautiful, its a lovely quiet hotel, situated a short walking distance to the centre of Can Pastilla. NOT a nice walk from the hotel to the centre, felt a bit unsafe, and looking over your shoulder and Can Pastilla a bit tacky, but lovely beach. On the positive the bus stop for Palma and Airport literally outside the door of hotel.Bus to Palma € 2.00 but beware , they pack them on like sardines . Not for the clausterphobic, The airport bus € 4.50 and if coming from the airport on the A2, the stop for the hotel is the FIRST stop. The busdrivers wont tell you this, and in our case the driver WASNT able to tell us what stop to get off for the Alua Linda, despite driving this route probably several times a day for years, pretending he couldnt speak English, we rang the hotel on the bus to find out the stop, and as we were getting off the bus the driver, spoke perfect English, telling us to enjoy our stay, and sarcastically telling us that he hoped we return to Majorca.Shocking!!!!! Shocking!!! The rest of this stay is SO SO positive. The hotel is AMAZING, where do I start, we had such a relaxing week, bedroom was lovely, found aircon perfect despite other negative comments, shower, the exact same as all the other comments, a bit of a hit and a miss, the most hardworking staff especially in the restaurant, that manager with the white shirt, sorry didnt get his name , a real asset to the restaurant, probably works TOO hard, and in fact all the restaurant staff so good at their jobs. Now to the food, THE FOOD IS AMAZING, breakfast and evening meal, selection VAST, and standard of food just exceeded our expectations. Chefs so friendly, would go back for the food alone, NO SHORTCUTS HERE. lovely dishes fish, meat, salads, desserts, fruit, really looked forward to our meals here, have stayed in Sheraton, and Barcelo brands but this hotel was up there with the best for the food. Well done Alua, and amazing chefs. take a bow, incredible array of delicious food.Just one thing on drinks at meals, We thought the drinks went on your bill at the end but they dont, you pay at the door on leaving the restaurant, but you are not told this, so could be a slip up for the hotel and maybe open to abuse. Lovely courtyard outside to eat breakfast, gorgous ambience. The hotel pristine, everything looks fresh, spotless and smells lovely.A special shout out to Heiko in reception, so professional, friendly, and genuinely nice guy, the lovely lady in the bar just didnt get her name, seemed to run it most nights, and Juan in entertainment, he is pure positivity, The lovely lady on the meat cooking station, would put you in good form with her lovely smile. genuine staff stand out a mile, The two pools lovely, the bali beds amazing, pool areas exceptionally clean, new ,and so inviting. Bar food lovely too.Aeroplane noise didnt bother us, lifeguard on duty all day every day, huge plus.Nice touch getting the little handouts of free icecream, little drinks while around the pool.Well done Alua.!! The entertainment singers on two nights we were there were exceptional, Lional Richie and Ella Fitzgerald tributes. I saw this week coming there are 4 live acts, but pity entertainment was a bit thin on the ground when we were there.Juan was excellent with the bingo night, such fun. A huge negative in the entertainment area was that the entertainers had to entertain on stage with terribly poor lighting, so we practically couldnt see the entertainers so maybe this is why there was VERY poor turnout of guests for these shows. Practically no guests at the shows, and its not the entertainers fault as they were brilliant, of a VERY HIGH STANDARD.Felt sorry for them having to entertain with no one there. So Management need to look at this as very flat from hotel and guests point of view, and not the entertainers fault or Juans, as they are super. So overall this hotel is SO relaxing, clean, calm, food second to none, 10 minutes from the airport, lovely staff,large supermarket outside the hotel. This hotel is NOT for the rowdy, so beautifully calm and quiet. Room given without asking, for showering on day of leaving, ( not very clean though with about 30 towels strewn everywhere) and dirty, but neverthe less great to get the room for shower.luggage stored away with GREAT CARE . Would we come back again to this hotel ? 100%, It gave us a great week of relaxation, just when we needed it, and ticked all the boxes, and exceeded our expectations. The only reservation I would have is that the hotel is NOT set up for anyone with a disability, the lifts tiny, clausterphobic, and disability toilet in lobby locked all of the time, so that if someone had a hidden disability, this toilet was never freely open, and you would have to ask reception to open it for you. We had a really lovely stay at Alua Linda! A special shoutout to the entertainment guy, who really made our holiday even better. He was always in a great mood, super friendly, and amazing at getting everyone involved in fun games and activities. He created such a great atmosphere around the pool and definitely made our stay more memorable! 😊

Very clean and nice hotel. The intertainment / animater was excellent, funny and made a great atmosphere around the guests. So Nice!

Here now! Ignore negative reviews! Kettles and fridges in room no problem with lifts! 2 minutes wait at tops! Staff all great! Jim’s got everyone involved fabulous! Plenty of subbed! Fabulous experience!

Perfect hotel for a quick trip to Majorca. We had a short break here for the bank holiday weekend. Five minutes from the airport, so super convenient! Close to supermarkets, bars, shops and the beach/seafront too. The animation team were great - shout out to Juan who was incredibly friendly and full of energy and enthusiasm. The rooms were beautiful, air conditioning was effective, food was delicious with loads of choice and all fresh. Fridge, kettle, safe and hairdryer all in the room, (bring your own teabags or coffee though as they don't provide this). Loved our stay and recommend highly!!
