Canyamel Classic

Spokojenost. Klidný hotel s příjemným . Čistota v hotelu,úklid pokojů každý den. Pláž kousek od hotelu, napůl písek napůl skála.

The hotel was clean and fairly well equipped. Food wasn’t great and was often cold. There was a microwave available to reheat food on offer. There wasn’t enough locally to make me feel like I’d ever want to revisit Canymel again and I can’t say it was a very welcoming place to visit. There was a bit of an uncomfortable atmosphere around being British tourists that gave us an overall feeling that we had no business being there. In the end we chose to cut our holiday short and will put it down to experience but very much doubt we’d venture to that particular side of the island again if we even bother with Majorca at all.

A nice enough, but very quiet village, with a beautiful beach and pretty surroundings. The hotel was due to close for the season very shortly after I left (I wouldn't have booked if I'd realised) so as my time there moved on the food offering got worse, the self service drink dispensers were often empty and the entertainment was basically non-existent with the animator actually telling me he was counting down to Friday when he finished. The place was clean but on my last day my room wasn't serviced at all for some reason (perhaps the cleaning staff had already left) and my key card ceased to work, necessitating a journey down to reception in the incredibly slow lift (no phone in the room so I couldn't call down). The bar and restaurant staff were friendly and the pool area was nice, although deposits were required for pool towels. Would I revisit? Definitely not at this time of year (although I suspect queues and congestion in the restaurant might be a problem when the hotel is at full occupancy).
