If you are looking for a quiet holiday then this is the place to be. Couple of shops near the beach and a couple restaurants. The location is good and the beach was amazing. Now the hotel. Check in was easy and fast. We arrived 1 hour early however they let us have lunch and some drinks until it was check-in time. We get to the room and it was...fine. looked quite old and the fire alarm was held together by a couple of band-aids and the shower was stained yellow. Barely any water pressure and the toilet was constantly running had to keep the door closed at all times as it was getting quite annoying at night. The odour of the bathroom was not pleasant either. We paid for all inclusive but the food was a bit disappointing. Always the same three foods: fish, pork and chicken. I will say that the salad bar had a lot of options. If you are vegan/vegetarian you will have trouble with the food as it is only labeled in Spanish and German, not in English so most of the time it was a guessing game as to what you were eating. During breakfast the soft drinks dispenser was closed which was a surprise, no orange juice or any of the sort. The staff are all very friendly and always serve you with a smile. Plates and glasses were always promptly cleared. One downside though is there is no air conditioning in the dining area so you will be sweating at each meal. The pool was nice and lots of sun loungers available. However, the pool closes promptly at 6 PM everyday because that is when the lifeguard finishes his shift. The lifeguard will kick you out the pool at that time, which is strange because most of the time he isn't even there? He is either serving drinks at the bar or somewhere else. Considering how hot it is, an evening swim will be most refreshing after spending the day at the beach. Now the entertainment. Juma does his best to keep people entertained however this was really disappointing. Music equipment malfunctioning, never letting a song play to its end. We stayed for 5 days and only during one of them there was a live singer. Otherwise, it will be just Juma performing dances or acts or the bottle flip challenge for entertainment (which was anything but entertaining). For such a quiet location, I would expect the hotel to invest a bit more in that aspect. Overall for the amount of money we paid, I don't think it's worth staying here. Like I said the location is beautiful however the hotel was lacking. If we ever find ourselves in Canyamel, we will be booking with a different hotel.
Check-out v 11 hodin nám také vyhovoval. Jedinou drobnou nevýhodou byl menší výběr jídel, ale všechno bylo velmi chutné a kvalitně připravené. Pokoje byly hezké, čisté a pravidelně uklízené. Bazén je krásný, čistý a ideální na odpočinek. Celkově jsme byli velmi spokojení a pobyt bychom určitě doporučili.
Velmi krásný zážitek. Zažít Španělsko při mistrovství světa něco neuvěřitelného. Příroda krásná. Animátor velmi zábavný a snaživý. Hotel moc hezky, kousek od pláže ale bazén do 18:00 jsem moc nepochopil a občas menší výběr jídla ale celkově spokojenost.
Spokojenost. Klidný hotel s příjemným . Čistota v hotelu,úklid pokojů každý den. Pláž kousek od hotelu, napůl písek napůl skála.
Just came back from a week at this hotel. Firstly the hotel is in a great location, so near the beach you can't go wrong. We knew when booking, that there was nothing to do around the area and as we wanted a quiet break we weren't put off by that. The beach has two restaurants which were okay for a meal or drink. Around 6 shops nearby for anything you need. Two further restaurants near the hotel which we didn't visit. At the hotel we were given an apartment, which was nice and spacious but very dated. We had lovely views from both balconies and were happy overall. It soon became apparent that the air conditioning wasn't working properly and we reported it the following day. Over the week, we were sent back and forth reception being told different things by different staff members who told us maintenance would be sorting it and then that it had been sorted. It did not get sorted and when asked if we could change rooms, they told us we could not. Despite all members of reception being nice to us nothing or no-one helped us to sort the problem. (One male receptionist wasn't helpful and tried to insult me with the "language barrier" being the problem). The room was unbearable for the week and we were unable to sleep through the night. The rooms weren't cleaned and we only had a change of towels and bed made twice. The rest of the time we had to go to reception who would give us towels when asked. Food was as you expect for this type of hotel and it was varied and edible. The staff at the restaurant were exceptional and worked hard and you had to feel for them as they were saturated in sweat throughout their shifts. You would also be sweating throughout your meal despite being outside, the hotel really should invest in some outdoor fans. Bar staff were also helpful and worked very hard all day and night. These would also benefit with some help of being more comfortable in the heat for their shifts. The entertainment left alot to be desired. As an adult only hotel you would hope that adult theme entertainment would be on offer. Despite the notice of what was on offer throughout the day, only aqua aerobics were offered in the morning (which was the same every day and went on for far too long). In the afternoon there was either water polo or learning a dance. The evening entertainment was dreadful, only two nights consisted of outside entertainment which was a South African female singer who was fantastic along with an acrobatic show of two men who were equally fantastic. The rest of the week consisted of a sort of disco or the entertainer (Juma) making the best of his entertainment skills. We feel the hotel let down Juma the entertainer by not giving him the money to invest in more beneficial acts for you to enjoy. Juma is a lovely guy who works hard and interacts with guests making sure they are all okay, but again we feel he is being let down by what he can do. Despite wanting a quiet holiday we felt we have had a boring holiday with nothing to look forward to on any day. Juma has a day off on a Sunday and there is nothing at all going on from morning to night. If the hotel got their act together they could improve this hotel so much and make it much more enjoyable for their guests but sadly we don't think they particularly care. If you have a problem don't think you will get to speak to a manager, the excuses made for them are incredible, you will never get to see or get help from them.
