Canyamel Park Hotel & Spa

We have just returned from 4 nights at the Canyamel Park Hotel. Having read some negative reviews, we were a little worried - however, we really did not need to be as it is an absolute gem of a hotel! We were given a wonderful greeting by the lovely Arantxa, who was so friendly and helpful throughout our whole stay - she is a real asset to the hotel! We stayed in an incredible privilege suite room, with a whirlpool bath on the balcony, a huge, comfy bed, robes/slippers, a welcome gift on arrival, an amazing bathroom and even a dressing room. It was very clean, with amazing views of both the mountains and the sea. The room was cleaned each day and you have a sign to use so the cleaners know when to access your room - they were very polite and turned the room over beautifully each day. We also had access to a rooftop pool as part of the privilege suite, which was beautiful and so quiet at all times - we actually had it to ourselves for a few hours! The main pool was also lovely - with sun loungers readily available and a lovely, chilled vibe. With the hotel being adults only, it is so peaceful around the whole hotel! There is also a spa which you can use during your stay for free - we didn't get a chance to go but it looked lovely! We went half board and the options were plentiful at both breakfast and dinner, for veggies too (one of us is a vegetarian and one a carnivore) and there were some themed evenings for food too eg a veggie/vegan night, Spanish buffet and Mexican night. However, there are plenty of options of restaurants just near the hotel if you do prefer to eat out. The beautiful Canyamel beach also has bars/cafes overlooking the sea for lunch etc and is literally right next to the hotel so the location could not be better. Yes, it is quieter than other areas of Majorca, but we really loved the Canyamel area and also hired a car so we were able to tour the island, along with catching the bus to Cala Ratjada one evening, which only took about 15 - 20 mins and cost 3 euros. The bar at night is lovely - very peaceful and there is entertainment on every other night, which we enjoyed. The prices were very reasonable, with a wine and beer costing around 9 euros altogether. They also do lovely cocktails for around 8/9 euros each. We really had an amazing, magical time - so much so that we are looking to return as soon as possible! 2 rooms, 4 adults for a short stay (for a wedding). Room not ready upon arrival (only 1.5hrs later) which would be okay, but no apology, no transparency, not even a glass of water while waiting. Staff was very unprofessional, assumes people don’t understand Spanish and talk about guests in front of you (I think they assumed we were German, as most guests). Most days the rooms were not cleaned at all, other days cleaning staff entered the room at random times without knocking, felt a bit violated as I was changing. On our last day they even came in hours before check-out, looking at their watch. Feels like mass tourism, nothing is about the guests comfort. Annex building feels like a rip off, you pay a similar price and end up in a worn down building blocks away, next to a construction site. Pool are main building were nice, pool lady and most of the breakfast staff were nice.

A pleasure form beginning to end, a beautiful clean and stylish hotel in a very peaceful Neighbourhood Lots of nice places to eat nearby and a beautiful unspoilt beach on the doorstep. Breakfast is varied and delicious, staff are super friendly, rooms spacious and clean. The spa area is lovely and I had an amazing facial and massage. Throughly recommend this hotel

We are a group of golfers who have returned to this hotel for the past fourteen years. We love the friendly atmosphere, the modern beautiful bedrooms, the superb dining room, catering for all tastes, the lounge areas, outside pools and the very friendly staff, in all areas. Also it’s position, 50m from beach, and surrounded by it’s dramatic landscape. Great walking area.

Outstanding service, steps from beach (water 25 degrees!), always quick and helpful reception staff, clean, comfortable rooms. We only booked one night and worried about mixed reviews so were honestly surprised just how nice it was! We didn't use pool.
