Grupotel Playa Camp de Mar

Currently staying here , the hotel is very nice and the food has been all good , the staff are friendly and hard working Our room is very spacious and clean, but the best thing is the view with stunning sea view's. Just one thing that's very annoying is the sunbed wars in the morning when the doors open at 7am or earlier there are a rush of people to secure the best spot . The last hotel we went to you wasn't allowed to secure sunbeds and if that happened after 30mins the staff would remove the towels and whatever else you left. So far having a lovely time.

Absolutely amazing Hotel,in a stunning peaceful location Staff friendly and welcoming,rooms and public areas imacculate,Dora our cleaner always did a good job of our room.Restaurant staff always made us feel valued,Massive choice of food cooked and served to a high standard. Plenty of sun beds and Parosols for everyone still had the odd few early risers putting towels on the beds,which they was no need to as Javi the lifeguard (lovely guy) would get you a bed and parasol.Can see why guests return to this hotel year after year one guest told us it was his 29th visit.It was our first visit it certainly won't be our last.Thank you to all the management and staff for making our stay memorable.🤗😊

I've lost count of the number of times we've been to this hotel and twice a year at that. When entering the foyer you know you are home and the view that greets you from reception is outstanding and the girls behind the desk are courteous and professional. The rooms are spotless and cleaned to a very high standard and have plenty of storage space. You get a complimentary bottle of water on arrival and tea ,coffee and milk which is replenished daily. The restaurant is professionally run by Otunba and some really friendly and hard working staff who we've got to know well over the years( Carmen, Xisco and Isa) to name a few. The kitchen is run by Diego who creates different world cuisines and if anyone cannot find something to their taste I will be surprised . Plus the desserts are to die for. Breakfasts are a banquet of meats, cheeses and an array of fruits ,plus the good old fry up of freshly fried or poached eggs, pancakes and back bacon. The pool area has plenty or beds and parasols and overlooks the beautiful bay with a restaurant on an island. If your struggling for a bed see Javi the lifeguard who is a real gentleman. There are daytime activities if you wish to partake and a different act at night some of which are very good while you are sipping your cocktails, served by the friendliest bar staff in Majorca. Mercedes, Pilar and Sandro have the world's biggest smiles. And last but not least the man at the helm José who runs the ship and is always on hand for his guests. This is why we return each year and look forward to seeing you all again in September. Tony& Kath.

We were persuaded to visit by the great reviews. The food and helpful staff lived up to this reputation. ***The condition of the hotel in general did not.*** Dirty sun lounger cushions had not been cleaned from last season, some were put away with bird mess on, for guests to use the next day. The hotel entrance reception area had a damaged canopy above the sliding glass doors which were cracked and damaged, there was a large glass window in reception which was cracked at the lower corner. The lift maintenance stickers seemed to have expired September 2025 There were no cushions provided for the outside bar chairs on our first day which was uncomfortable, when we asked the female bar staff if we could have some to use we were told no . They were then put out on other days. She also told us that the mid priced Cerveza on the printed menus was not available, you could only order the 2.60 or 5.00 euro options, not the 3.20 option. W wee served coffee at the polside bar cafe in a half empty paper cup, when we had left our loungers to sit in the canopied bar area. This is NOT a 4 star experience. Sun Parasols were ripped and there were damaged pillars at the pool side with sharp edges showing and no tape or anything to make them safe whilst awaiting a repair. Our balcony was poorly decorated with obvious repairs to the hand rail and window frame which had been poorly decorated and the underside of the balcony above was in a very poor condition with leaks obvious (room 544). This made it a very unpleasant place to sit out and enjoy the view. I spoke to other returning guests who all said that the hotel standards were not as good this year as previously. This hotel needs a spot check by a senior manager or mystery shopper in my opinion I did reply to the Grupotel email checking if everything was ok with our stay and heard nothing back. Overall very disappointing stay.

A great location adjacent to a great sandy beach. Beach is clean and the water clear. Lifeguards on beach. Restaurant on small island in the bay. Rooms are clean and modern with most having a view of the sea/beach. Swimming pool is not heated and cool and refreshing. Staff are friendly and helpful. Evening entertainment is of a high standard. There is an additional local tourist tax to pay at the hotel and you will also need to pay for a key to activate the safe in your room. I travel a lot and there are few hotels that I would praise so highly.
