HM Isabela - Adults Only

A lovely clean, quiet and centrally located hotel. The food has been ok, always found something to eat. Drinks ok but obviously cheap versions. The pool area is quiet. Safe is free, pool towels €10 refundable deposit and can change them any time. Loads of places to sit, inside and out. The hotel is attached to an Irish bar, Irish Soul, not happy that people in that bar can wander through the hotel, not great for your security! Other than that it's a lovely place.

Room very small, to be fair was very clean, towels and bedding stained. Had to use the App for extra bed pillows. Lack of storage for cases. Tea and coffee tray, tea no English tea no milk. My friend and I booked all inclusive for 4 nights I felt that bottles of water should have been provided free and to be told it would be 3.25 euros for a 500ml bottle, and then to be offered a cup of water. I have stayed in lots of 4 star hotels and have never had to pay for bottled water. If you use the WiFi in the hotel forget it as it kept disconnecting. The food was not very good at all we went in for breakfast the toaster was a nightmare you had to put the bread in 6 times before it looked like toast. The HP sauce bottles the top of the bottles need to be kept clean it was a sticky mess, build up of sauce, watered down orange juice. We arrived late hours of the morning and were not issued with bands, we were not challenged going into the restaurant at all and asked at reception should we have bands. There was no entertainment at the hotel either on the evening, which would have been nice. The pool area was nice and there was no reserving off beds. To be fair this hotel needs to be a 3 star not a four star.

We stayed here for 10 days at start of September as there was 3 adults we had 2 rooms we had requested adjoining rooms but sadly we didn’t get them although one room did have an adjoining door! Rooms a bit small my daughter had to store her suitcase in the bathroom not ideal.Hotel shared areas very clean. Room tidied everyday but floor not washed, room tray never replenished no coffee or milk never stayed in a 4 star when this didn’t happen. We only stayed b+b which was okay had to wait most mornings for food to be cooked . Having to be down for 9 am to get sun beds around pool is a bit off putting but as they do day passes it can be very busy. I also thing residents should get priority getting sun beds. As for reception staff! Well rude is an understatement never said good morning once and when checking in and out no communication told use app in room not that easy when your in your 70s. Sadly won’t be staying here again they need to work on there customer service.

Just back from a few days staying on B&B basis. We thought the hotel was fabulous. Spotlessly clean throughout with hard working staff everywhere keeping the standards high. Breakfast was fantastic with absolutely everything you could wish for and plenty of it. Eggs and omelettes freshly cooked to order are a highlight. The rooms are small but really nice with a big comfy bed and decent pressure in the shower. Mini fridge in the room is a little small but enough to keep a bottle of milk and a few cans etc. A nespresso coffee machine is standard but we requested a kettle so we could make a cup of tea. Room was cleaned and made up every day. Despite what other people have said in their reviews we found the reception staff to be really nice and friendly. The pool area is lovely and we didn’t ever have a problem finding sun beds. Location is perfect as it’s within easy distance of all the shops, bars and restaurants and the beach is literally over the road. We couldn’t fault anything and already planning a return visit. 😊

The actual hotel and location is fine. Food in the morning is lukewarm under the "hot" plates. After the first morning i kept away from the so called hot food and went to the counter to get freshly cooked. Towels and bedding in rooms leaves a lot to be desired. On numerous occasions got stained dirty towels. Bedding was marked and frayed and looked stitched together. Complained to reception twice. Said it would be reported to housekeeping. Great they were! Just kept leaving the stained towels on floor til they got the message. After seeing other reviews in relation to hot food, i wasnt expecting much. Even the responses from the hotel saying thanks for the feedback dont work as they dont actually try and resolve it. One male chef kept disappearing round back of kitchen and not cooking the fresh hot food. Would mark this hotel as a 3 star at best. Also dont use Spar outside hotel. 6L water 4euro. Turn left outside hotel and supermarket on the right at crossroads it is 1.50. All adds up. Also in room if you prefer kettle instead of coffee machine, ask reception. Restaurant outside hotel to the right is great. Food is good and reasonably priced. We only stayed B&B and ate out and found loads of great places to eat including a great chippie at the top strip. Bakery round the corner does deli baguettes.
