Zafiro Palace Andratx

From start to finish, our stay at Zafiro Palace Andratx was exceptional. This is a hotel that genuinely deserves a 10/10 rating, and one we would happily return to and wholeheartedly recommend. The quality, quantity and variety of food on offer were outstanding, with an impressive choice throughout our stay. Equally impressive was the service. The team were impeccable, delivering the kind of attention to detail and hospitality that really elevates a holiday. What makes this hotel particularly special is that, despite its size and impressive facilities, it somehow manages to retain the atmosphere and exclusivity of a boutique hotel. There is a real sense of space, privacy and calm throughout, without ever feeling short of facilities or things to enjoy. We stayed in penthouse room 3209, overlooking one of the golf tees, and it was fantastic. The room felt wonderfully private and offered two distinct outdoor spaces: a balcony with a daybed, plus a penthouse terrace with its own plunge pool, another daybed and comfortable chairs. It meant we could spend a lazy day enjoying our own private space just as happily as we could exploring the hotel’s many pools and facilities. Camp de Mar is just a short walk away, with a commercial centre offering a pharmacy, doctor’s surgery, convenience store, restaurants and bars. We came away feeling that the hotel had delivered on every level. A genuine 10/10 experience. We would absolutely return and would recommend it without hesitation to anyone looking for a high-quality, relaxing luxury holiday in Mallorca.

Great five star hotel and such a warm welcome upon checking in which carried on throughout the week, in all settings, all the staff we met were so genuinely courteous and friendly. The hotel room was spacious, well lit, had a shower room, toilet and dressing area which were spacious and super clean, plenty of coat hangars for a change, hairdryer and clothes steamer, drink making facilities and fully stocked fridge. The large balcony looked over the car park, ahead was the golf course and we had a great view of the sea and all the yachts etc., the balcony area above the room had a plunge pool another sun terrace. There are multiple swimming pools, outdoor and indoor, a spa and gym and an outdoor kids play area. The breakfast buffet was amazing, so much choice and good options for vegetarians and vegans. The evening buffet had so much variety, cost euros 50 per person not including drinks. We went to the Italian restaurant once and ate around the pools in the day. My recommendations would be to walk down to the beach area where there are some great bars and restaurants. Our favourites by far were Marie 5 where we had drinks and meals on 4 occasions, there is a drinks only area or tables for dining and drinks, it’s a lovely, relaxed high end restaurant set in a great outdoor beach setting. The Golf Club which is very near the hotel and serves delicious food too in a great setting. On the days when it was warm and cloudy we booked a trip via our tour rep to Soller, which I would definately recommend and Port Soller, although we wished we had more time in Soller itself which is a village in the mountains accessible by train and tram. We also caught the local bus to Palma which we enjoyed and spent another afternoon in Peguera. We loved our relaxing holiday at the Zafiro Palace.

Absolutely lovely hotel. Very modern and well kept. The staff are all very friendly and could not do enough for you, and the cleaners do an incredible job. The whole hotel was immaculate and the rooms absolutely spotless. We had a Zafiro Club suite, so we had access to the private pool and the staff covering that pool could not do enough for you. The food in the Italian (La Veranda) and Mare Nostrum restaurant's was exceptional. The buffet was ok for breakfast, but we had an evening meal there that was a bit disappointing. The steak house was the same, a bit disappointing. We did not try the Sushi restaurant. But apart from the steak house and buffet there was nothing we could fault and we will definitely be returning. Oh and the beach which was a short stroll away (all though up / down quite a big hill depending on if you are coming or going) was absolutely lovely and a great place to spend an afternoon if you want to get off the complex for a bit.

Our recent visit to Zafiro Palace Andratx was an absolute disaster. We knew it was a family-friendly hotel and expected children. What we had not anticipated was the sheer number of babies and toddlers under three, and the frequent crying throughout the dining and entertainment areas. To put this into perspective, on one occasion we walked past the main lunch restaurant and counted ten tables. Nine had babies or very young toddlers, with two crying loudly. Our complaint concerns the overwhelming numbers and the lack of respite. Hoping for a quieter evening, we visited the bar for live music after 9pm. Parents with babies occupied the dance floor, blocking our view of the entertainment. When we raised our concerns, staff responded along the lines of: “We agree, sir, but there is nothing we can do.” The main buffet was also disappointing and frequently noisy, so we chose to dine in the three upstairs restaurants. These were excellent, with very good food and service, overseen by a manager with impressive wine knowledge. They were a genuine highlight. However, babies and toddlers were also present every evening, sometimes until 10pm, so even these restaurants offered little escape from the disruption. We believe the hotel should give greater consideration to guests seeking quieter spaces, particularly later in the evening. The website’s photographs suggest a serene, relaxing atmosphere, which did not reflect our experience. Our complaints to management were met with a curt reminder that the hotel is family-friendly. That missed the point: we understood its family-friendly policy. Our concern was the concentration of very young children, the repeated crying and the absence of somewhere peaceful to enjoy dinner or evening entertainment. For us, the holiday was completely ruined. If peace and quiet matter to you, check carefully before booking whether this hotel will meet your expectations.

Just returned from the second trip at this fantastic hotel and we were not disappointed. I was celebrating my 60th with friends and the whole team made us feel very special. We went all in for 3 days and every meal was excellent with service to match . Every single member of staff was friendly, helpful and professional and a special shout out to Elen in the restaurant and the lady in the roof top bar ( I’m so sorry I didn’t get her name) making us fabulous cocktails and naming us the Spice Girls 😆 whilst ensuring we had everything we wanted. We’ve already booked for next year !! Thank you so much.
