We had a really lovely stay overall and there is a lot that this hotel gets exceptionally right. Our first impression was slightly mixed. The receptionist who welcomed us was lovely, but I was genuinely surprised to see dirty glasses left on every table in the reception area when we arrived. For a hotel of this standard, it wasn't the first impression I expected. We stayed in a penthouse room with a plunge pool and I would definitely recommend this room type. The views were beautiful, there were several different sitting areas and the plunge pool was a really good size – actually larger than some of the swim-up pools we saw, although slightly shallower. The large walk-in wardrobe was another feature we really loved. One thing to be aware of is the very open-plan bathroom layout. This was manageable for us travelling with our 12-year-old son, but the privacy is quite limited, so I could imagine it being more inconvenient with older teenagers or if travelling as a group of friends. The food was another real highlight. Breakfast and dinner in the buffet were consistently very good, with plenty of choice and a high standard of quality. We also tried the à la carte restaurants and felt they were all well worth a visit. Sushi and Italian were our favourites! Lunch was probably the weakest part of the food offering, mainly because there weren't many genuinely quick options. Both the food trucks and room service could take around 45 minutes, which felt quite a long wait when you just wanted something simple and easy during the day. I also have to specifically mention the spa. I had genuinely one of the best massages I have ever had absolutely exceptional and one of the highlights of the holiday. The setting is beautiful, with gorgeous views, and there is a lovely beach very close to the hotel. We also booked the On Boat private boat trip during our stay and it was unreal easily our favourite experiences of the holiday and something I would highly recommend. The main disappointment for us was housekeeping, particularly the evening turndown service. It was inconsistent throughout the stay some evenings it was done and others it wasn't, what was done also changed from night to night, it was particularly frustrating as they are supposed to sort the 3rd bed for my son. When I raised this, I was particularly frustrated to be told that perhaps we had left a sign on the door. We hadn't, so it felt as though the issue was being attributed to us rather than simply acknowledged. I also asked for my feedback to be passed to a manager but never received any follow-up, which was disappointing in a hotel of this standard. We also booked Zafiro Club and, having experienced it, I'm not sure we would pay the additional cost again. We didn't feel there were enough noticeable extras to make it feel particularly special. The exclusive pool area could have been a lovely benefit, but it was barely used during our stay and I suspect the lack of shade is a major reason. In the August heat there simply weren't enough shaded areas to make it somewhere we wanted to spend much time. Those points aside, this is a beautiful hotel with some genuinely excellent elements. The penthouse room, food, spa, views and location were all real highlights and we had a very enjoyable family holiday. With more consistency in housekeeping, better handling of guest feedback, some quicker lunch options and a stronger Zafiro Club offering, it could be outstanding.
Wow … what a fabulous hotel. Everything was perfect and the staff were fantastic. We went all inclusive in a Zafiro Club room and we wouldn’t hesitate to do it all again. From check-in with a glass of chilled cava, through the week with a treat every night (think platters of fruit or petit fours) brought to our room to the seamless check out this hotel and the staff couldn’t do enough for you. Everyone worked tirelessly to ensure the grounds and communal areas were always spotless. If all their hotels are like this one don’t hesitate to book.
The hotel and service level is unbelievable, it instantly feels like a home from home. We opted for Club which unlike a lot of hotels there is no club lounge etc which I thought was a shame. There could be a better selection at lunch for kids (toasties etc) every restaurant also had the same kids menu which gets a little monotonous for the kids. The facilities are incredibly clean, the buffet is the best choice buffet we have visited and even though there was a lot of people there it never felt overwhelming. Evening entertainment should be advertised more as it was really good but quiet. Great stay and we will 100% be back!
Everything about our stay was great. The staff were friendly and worked SO HARD. Rooms were brilliant, we faced the golf course which we loved - watching players from our balcony. The food and drinks were excellent too. We had a lovely holiday.
We had an absolutely fantastic holiday at Zaifiro Palace Andratx. We booked the All Inclusive Refined package directly with the hotel and the service was impeccable from start to finish. Everything was handled brilliantly, from arranging our transport to room service, breakfast and dinner buffets, and the restaurants. The food and service were consistently five-star, and every member of staff we met was incredibly friendly, welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. We upgraded to a one-bedroom suite with a private plunge pool, which was one of the best decisions we made. With temperatures reaching around 35°C, it was perfect for our two year old to cool down in throughout the day and made the suite feel even more special. Thank you to the whole team for such a wonderful and memorable holiday. We had an amazing time and will definitely be back!
