Zafiro Palace Andratx

The holiday was a real mixed bag. The location is stunning and the views of the coast are incredible. It’s a short walk to town that has some great bars and restaurants. The breakfast buffet was outstanding, one of the best I’ve experienced, and the staff at the Veranda Restaurant were excellent. Special mention to Mohamed Tallal, who was fantastic with our children, incredibly helpful and recommended some lovely wines. A real credit to the restaurant. Unfortunately, service elsewhere was often poor. Some bars couldn’t make cocktails from their own menus, and those we received were sometimes undrinkable. At the Blue Lounge, after returning drinks, we felt the staff treated us rudely for the rest of our stay, leaving us feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome. The speciality restaurants were also disappointing. The food appeared to come from one central kitchen, the sushi arrived within seconds of ordering, hot food tasted microwaved, and the chicken was incredibly tough. Housekeeping was poor too. Our room wasn’t made up despite requesting it, and we eventually had to insist while sitting on our balcony in the rain. This happened on multiple days. Bike hire was another frustrating experience: after downloading an app and paying €20, the bike had no battery. The resort layout is difficult to navigate with a pram, with stairs and multiple lifts needed to get around. When most lifts broke during the rain, getting around became extremely difficult. Even the poolside QR codes were just menus, with no option to order food or drinks, meaning constant trips to the bar. For the cost and prices of food and drink, it didn’t deliver so I would not return.

What a special place from the rooms, food, pools and most importantly the staff. Special shout out to Manu who made the best caramel old fashioned. The daily cleaning of our room 9002 who spoke to my husband every day in Spanish so he had his daily lesson to the front of house who sourced me that wicker bag, I brought. Although there are children and we were just a couple, the whole place has areas for pure relaxation. We plan to come back for two weeks again next year. I heard lots of people who have been to IKOS but found this hotel equally nice for less money.

From start to finish, our stay at Zafiro Palace Andratx was exceptional. This is a hotel that genuinely deserves a 10/10 rating, and one we would happily return to and wholeheartedly recommend. The quality, quantity and variety of food on offer were outstanding, with an impressive choice throughout our stay. Equally impressive was the service. The team were impeccable, delivering the kind of attention to detail and hospitality that really elevates a holiday. What makes this hotel particularly special is that, despite its size and impressive facilities, it somehow manages to retain the atmosphere and exclusivity of a boutique hotel. There is a real sense of space, privacy and calm throughout, without ever feeling short of facilities or things to enjoy. We stayed in penthouse room 3209, overlooking one of the golf tees, and it was fantastic. The room felt wonderfully private and offered two distinct outdoor spaces: a balcony with a daybed, plus a penthouse terrace with its own plunge pool, another daybed and comfortable chairs. It meant we could spend a lazy day enjoying our own private space just as happily as we could exploring the hotel’s many pools and facilities. Camp de Mar is just a short walk away, with a commercial centre offering a pharmacy, doctor’s surgery, convenience store, restaurants and bars. We came away feeling that the hotel had delivered on every level. A genuine 10/10 experience. We would absolutely return and would recommend it without hesitation to anyone looking for a high-quality, relaxing luxury holiday in Mallorca.

Great five star hotel and such a warm welcome upon checking in which carried on throughout the week, in all settings, all the staff we met were so genuinely courteous and friendly. The hotel room was spacious, well lit, had a shower room, toilet and dressing area which were spacious and super clean, plenty of coat hangars for a change, hairdryer and clothes steamer, drink making facilities and fully stocked fridge. The large balcony looked over the car park, ahead was the golf course and we had a great view of the sea and all the yachts etc., the balcony area above the room had a plunge pool another sun terrace. There are multiple swimming pools, outdoor and indoor, a spa and gym and an outdoor kids play area. The breakfast buffet was amazing, so much choice and good options for vegetarians and vegans. The evening buffet had so much variety, cost euros 50 per person not including drinks. We went to the Italian restaurant once and ate around the pools in the day. My recommendations would be to walk down to the beach area where there are some great bars and restaurants. Our favourites by far were Marie 5 where we had drinks and meals on 4 occasions, there is a drinks only area or tables for dining and drinks, it’s a lovely, relaxed high end restaurant set in a great outdoor beach setting. The Golf Club which is very near the hotel and serves delicious food too in a great setting. On the days when it was warm and cloudy we booked a trip via our tour rep to Soller, which I would definately recommend and Port Soller, although we wished we had more time in Soller itself which is a village in the mountains accessible by train and tram. We also caught the local bus to Palma which we enjoyed and spent another afternoon in Peguera. We loved our relaxing holiday at the Zafiro Palace.

Absolutely lovely hotel. Very modern and well kept. The staff are all very friendly and could not do enough for you, and the cleaners do an incredible job. The whole hotel was immaculate and the rooms absolutely spotless. We had a Zafiro Club suite, so we had access to the private pool and the staff covering that pool could not do enough for you. The food in the Italian (La Veranda) and Mare Nostrum restaurant's was exceptional. The buffet was ok for breakfast, but we had an evening meal there that was a bit disappointing. The steak house was the same, a bit disappointing. We did not try the Sushi restaurant. But apart from the steak house and buffet there was nothing we could fault and we will definitely be returning. Oh and the beach which was a short stroll away (all though up / down quite a big hill depending on if you are coming or going) was absolutely lovely and a great place to spend an afternoon if you want to get off the complex for a bit.
