First time visiting Menorca. What made this hotel great was so many friendly & helpful staff, especially Mandy on reception & chef Nicolas in the restaurant who both went out of their way to help you. Great animation team (Noah, Richi, Bruno & Pluenie). They didn't just let you know when the variety of activities were on, in the evenings they would come round and chat to you and were great with children of all ages. Restaurant & bar staff work very hard. Food enjoyable - always found something we liked, especially breakfast. Hot & cold choices at each meal. Machines for self serve hot & cold drinks. Many branded drinks (e.g. Bacardi, Smirnoff) available at the bar with all inclusive. Room lovely with free WiFi & safe. Bathroom had handwash, shower gel, shampoo & a great hairdryer which even had a diffuser attachment. Only improvement would be move the bedroom desk over to allow room for a mirror over it & put hairdryer there making it easier to sit & do make up/hair outside of bathroom so someone else can use the bathroom. For those with mobility issues there are lots of ramps around the hotel & a seat to lower guests into the pool. Pool & pool area clean with bar & light snacks available. Always managed to get 2 or more sunbeds. Pool towels available at reception for €10 each which is refunded on return at the end of your stay. Quiet location with a small local supermarket. We tried the free hotel shuttle one afternoon to Punta Prima. Bit disappointing & only stayed an hour to get some reasonably priced souvenirs as there were only about 4 shops & a few bars/cafes. Taxi back €10.60. Recommend instead getting local bus to the capital Mahon (timetable available at reception) which took 25mins & cost €1.80 each way per adult. Beautiful buildings in the old quarter, variety of local boutiques, shoe shops & souvenirs as well as Mango, Stradivarius, Pandora & Sephora. We enjoyed the S'Algar village festival held each year end of July/1st August with a DJ down at the seafront & a small parade on the Saturday morning through the streets followed by fireworks Saturday evening. Really enjoyed our stay. Thanks to all the staff.

We had a fantastic week. The hotel was great!. We couldn't fault anything!. Great location, great food, we all enjoyed the pool and plenty of sunbeds!. Mandy on reception was very helpful and arranged a boat trip for us and nothing was too much trouble. We travelled as a family of 6 and we would all highly recommend this hotel for families and children of all ages. Hopefully we will return one day!.

Spent a four night all inclusive break here in july. We honestly couldn't fault a thing. Lovely room. Free WiFi and free safe. Excellent food and round the pool snacks. 20 euro taxi to the airport. S'algar is like an untouched 1970s fishing village. Quiet with a few local bars and panoramic views. Top tip . Jumpers bar next to the hotel serves free beer for all inclusive guests !! We will be back

I booked this hotel as a little break for us. I booked this hotel without looking at the reviews. When I came to read the reviews, I was quite disappointed and thought my experience wouldn’t be good. From the minute we arrived, we were treated by lovely staff members who were willing to go above and beyond for us. The food was amazing! We had themed nights every night such as Mexican, Spanish, Italian and Asian. The food was suitable for everyone with beige foods available for people if needed. The all inclusive was amazing! Most drinks are included unless you want branded drinks. Such as they have their own vodka but if you want absolut you’d have to pay more for. Most cocktails were included aswell! The all inclusive drinks do stop at 11pm so do make sure you have stocked up before then. The staff were amazing and so friendly. If you needed anything they would do so. We aren’t really sandy beach people and it was so lovely as there was a rocky part of the sea close by. They had steps for you to go into the sea and it was quiet aswell. We only stayed for 5 nights but if you wanted to go to a sandy beach you could go out for the day and get a taxi. There was a market about a 10 minute drive away in which you could get a taxi to. The pool was quite busy but it was lovely and enjoyable. You don’t need to rush to the sunbeds as the pool doesn’t open till 10:30. The sunbeds are full at midday ish. We went in the 6 week holidays so there was a range of ages at the resort. It was lovely to see so many people happy. This is such great value for money and I kept saying to my partner, how did we pay this much?! I would have paid more to come here. We will definitely be back! Thankyou for a lovely stay!

On arrival not receiving the warmest welcome and having read the reviews I was a little wary about what to expect for the the next week and a half! But all in all a lovely time was had. There isn't much to do in the area but I think travel to a town or the beach was definitely doable via bus, taxi or hire car and many did just that. But if you're after a peaceful, relaxing break around the pool with the option of some daytime/evening activities and entertainment then this is a good option. The hotel is about 25 mins transfer from the airport. There's a couple of supermarkets within a 5/10 minute walk for any essentials. Good choice of drinks included on AI. Pool snacks were ok and reasonable value for money all things considered. Breakfast buffet was great. Lunch and dinner sometimes had some unusual options and could definitely be labelled better but the chefs were always on hand to try and help despite the language barrier. Desserts were very repetitive but were probably trying to cater to all tastes. The vast majority of the staff here from house keeping, cleaning, reception, bar and restaurant were friendly and welcoming, and clearly work very hard and long hours. Unfortunately Elena could use some customer service skills as I did find it quite rude that she chose to serve presumably one of her favourite customers who was behind me in the queue at the bar rather than myself. Even in spite of said customer gesturing that I was before him. I'm not sure what she had to gain aside from making me feel stupid. A very family friendly hotel with plenty to keep the kids entertained but be aware that there is always large French/Spanish clientele at the hotel and some activities are aimed directly at them in their home language. We asked for a quieter room as previously been directly above the entertainment stage at different hotels and our email request in advance was noted and seemingly honoured despite being very busy. The soundproofing between rooms is not great as you can hear absolutely everything so something to bear in mind if you're a light sleeper. Would I return? Probably not only because next time we'd like to explore more of the local area, be near a beach and the few niggles here and there.
